Ive heard a few people commenting that you should fill your filter full of oil before fitting. Please people, this will only end up in a mess, esspecially on a skyline where the filter is at an arms reach. Do not waste your time, Ive never heard of a filter "popping off" because of this.

Hi guys, I know that r32 headlight problems are very common especially the switch but I have searched all the posts I can to no avail. My lights aren't always turning on and I first went for the switch, taking the switch apart but finding it in prety good condition. I ended up stretching the little springs a bit to make sure they were forcing the contacts. I also cleaned up all the contact area. Once all back together they still won't always work!! I am still not entirely sure the switch is not to blame but i think its worth looking elsewhere. I have checked all the basic things like plug connections, earthing and general wire conditions (the small parts that you can see) What I've been told is that the headlights have separate relays for both left and right so it would be really good if I could find these and see if they are the problem. Does anyone know where I should look to find these relays or have any understandable wiring diagrams? And has anyone had any similar experiences? Thanks, help is much appreciated.

Hi there guys I own a 1989 R32 4 door GTS-t (Auto) and I too am suffering from very bad fuel economy. The car is completely stock, with the exception of a pod filter, and driving around town im only getting 19.8L/100km. Now this figure is probably the worst that has been posted in this thread and is on par with you people that claimed of only getting 250km per tank, which is what im getting. When I drive on the highway for 90% of the time (driving like a granny) it does get better but still only gets 14L/100km (about 370km to tank). So far i have only tried resetting the ecu but that diddnt seem to help. I am converting the car to a manual in the very near future, but i want to know what is causing the fuel consumption to be so lousy. Could it be the O2 sensor? How costly and hard is this to replace? What else could it possibly be? Your help is appreciated

Yeah, im not very sure about the wiring either. If anyone has any wiring diagrams that could help or any other info that is relevent, please post it here. Cheers

I have now machined my flywheel and is ready to go in! I was wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the spiggot bush i will need, and where to get it? If worse comes to worse i could get a mechanic at work to try and turn one on our lathe (not too keen on this idea though) Also, are there part numbers for the pilot bushings. your help is muchly appreciated

Thanks guys that should help me alot, especialy if i run into any of those problems. I am still waiting for some time to machine my flywheel before it goes in, and also waiting for my friend (Mechanic) to clean his workshop so we have some room to work. Hopefully fairly soon Cheers

Hi everyone I have an 1989 4 door R32 GTS-t fresh from Japan. Unfortunately it is auto and im gettting annoyed at it already! I have all the main parts necessary for the conversion (I think), including a new heavy duty Xtreme clutch kit, with thrust bearing. I was wondering are there any important details that need to be looked after when changing to the manual box as the people helping me dont have a whole lot of knowledge with skylines. Also, is there a spiggot bush or bearing in there, and is it necessary to change it? I would like to replace it to be sure but am not exactly sure what im after. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated :headspin:

Stav: A handy way to check the vehicle production date of your jap R32 is to look at the tag stitched into the bottom of your front seatbelts. Although im pretty sure this will only show the year, not the month.
