Don't the cops call off pursuits after 150km anyway? Then call in the air wing. Don't have a problem with them driving fast cars. Would expect them to be supporting the local car industry tho. There's and auto rb25det with tranny/looms/etc for $1400 on ebay. Have you tried the forsale sections etc? Else you'll want to ring around the wreckers.

i was wondering if there are any other AFM (domestic cars) that would work. something mass more common, hence cheaper, even if it needed a dongle/electronics to make it look like something the ecu's expect.

woop. i put some in tonight. thought i had been using it, but started wondering why the sign said extreme. so blue = normal, white = new/extreme. i just assumed it was replacing the old.

wOOp. Having not used a soldering iron for about 8 years, took me 4-5 hours on and off =( Had to run out and buy some proper snips, as my pliers were old and rusty. Had a bit of issue with the regulator/transitor things bridging leads. Didnt have a solder sucker, so was a bit of grief there. Also the yellow led photo, orientation is wrong, so i ended up swapping red & yellow. Only noticed next photo on that yellow was wrong corner. No marking on the actual board either. Finally the actual consult plug had me a little stumped. Wasnt sure what flaps needed to be folded etc, so ended up cutting them all off =p Also no indication of how far to pull the pins through. Originally had the silver pins flush with the back (1/4 of the depth), but then pulled them through with pliers about half way through the plug. Not having a dig at newkleer, just bringing up some problems i had hung over this afternoon, so others know what to look for. Next event was to find a laptop to test with. My friend wouldnt let me use his moms brand new one (fear of blowing things up), so ended up wiht some ancient pentium. Tested using free conzult as it fits on a floppy. Came up straight away without any issues, so was over the moon. Didnt want to get my hopes up in case things didnt work. Only hitch right now, is the battery only lasts a few minutes, so no road trips yet. Oh, if anyone can explain the base idle menu in free conzult. has a yellow bar, with green band in the middle. Shows CMPS vs RPM (cam position sensor vs rpm). My R33 is doing 680 which is just below the green band. Wondering if it is intended for 300zx motor.

dunno how you lock an auto in 3rd. mine was in 2nd gear, so speed topped out at 110kph, by which point the power output had plateud. 123.4, altho im told 125 is about average for stocky.

Noticed that my SENT ITEMS folder isnt updating. Doesnt show anything since July 7. Was that migration time? Trying to figure out what i sent/said to whom. Sounds like a bug or is it just user error?

personally i would have thought family ment household. If you are living by yourself in victoria, then you should be able to apply for it. Dont know what the story is, if your parents refuse to let you drive their car; could be several reasons, such as conflicting times car is needed by drivers, insurance (why would parents insure you, if you own a car). etc. just write the letter to vicroads and see what happens.

I rang a local wrecker last year, you will need a complete barrel, as the part doesnt come off. was quoted $110 or something, ego cant afford it =) So long as the lock still works, leave it. Anyway, there is a thread on wreckers, just ask the right questions.
