i was going to suggest that bec grab the keys to my cabin. by the look of things i will be running late. have to score a helmet, and possibly camcorder. may not eventuate, but going to see what happens. in which case prolly wont leave til 7-8pm; expecting 2-3 hr drive. i been to winton, but im sure ill get lost travelling alone =) in which case speak to bec about keys. i will try to ring lynn at lakeview, and ok this. expect to be there after 9-10pm. bec; can u tell us what cabin number you are in? or dont you know at this stage. im sure ill just follow the ruckess will be enough.

Nice to see someone put some love back into their car. Seem to recall reading here, that you need to keep the red reflectors in the tail light to keep it legal. So all clear might run you into trouble, tho there prolly some other things in there to keep cops busy =)

Only one spot? Doh. Would be interested. Was hoping to confirm next week however. If you can pencil me in if possible. hb./

Hiho, Tom has confirmed he is in with me. From what i understood, there cabin has, - queen - double - single - fold out couch (wasnt pay too much attention to this, since no would want to pay good money for it.) can either work it like that, someone shares the queen with seperate sleeping bags or something, else did geoff have a spot he wasnt sure about? ** Update ** Ok. Ive spoke to Lynne at Lakeview, and have confirmed the current deluxe. Sleeping arrangements will cater for 4 of us using either foldout couch or sharing a queen. I have got following people with me: - myself - tomg - scott - dave I asked about the ensuite, and its a tripple bunk, plus double bed. Is a smaller place, so have decided to keep to the deluxe. Lynne said she had 1 (deluxe?) cabin left, if we can make up more numbers, although i dont want to try coordinating that. Believe there are at least 3 cabins booked by the club.

eck. no one taking my offer up yet. tom_g can you please let me know if your still in. dont want this to fall apart. anyone know if wrx guys are still looking? i aint on their forums.

Tom, I've just booked a deluxe cabin with them. It sleeps : - queen - double - single bunk - fold out couch I've got you penciled in with me. Looking to take on an extra person, and if someone wants the couch thingie, perhaps. Is booked for the 2 nights. 85 + 85 = 170 - 10% = 153 / 2 = $76 each If we take on third person becomes: 85 + 85 + 20 = 170 + 20 = 190 - 10% = 171 /3 = 57$ each and so on. Roy if your booked going in with Big_boy, then first person to get back to me has the single; unless someone is coming as a couple, then they can have the queenie. Costs divided by each person. Message me for contact. Im looking to confirm this by Sunday night if possible.

So no spare beds? If anyone has a single left message me or somit. prolly only after friday night at this stage. If falls apart prolly have to drive up in the morning. anyone know if crappier beds (err, ensuite) available. If anyone else is looking to split the bill.

I've paid up, but yet to fax the forms etc. Originally went to common wealth for some silly reason trying to direct deposit, but the lady said it wasnt theirs, and would take a week to process. (week? must be worse case, figured overnight). So walked up to westpak, and filled in the forms. Then she said i couldnt put DEC-name; they can only do numbers, so put me membership numbers. whats up with that? i always tell people at work to put their invoice number on deposit slips. grr. So anyway, just got sort out if im coming down friday night. -
is vce exams now/soon; possibly uni too. muck up day crap

i drive up johnstone at least twice a week. been noticing the flashing cameras go off quite a lot. mostly people turning right (north) onto hoddle, through a red arrow. but what worrying me most is the combo camera, further up, but before smith street. been flashing too frequently. i was stopped at the lights, guy in front wants to turn right, so i creep into the far left, behind anohter car. the lights go green, the lights flash as we both pull off. im lucky to be doing 20km, as it flashes the 2nd time. mind you im stuck behind the 1st car. realising it couldnt be red light, speed, was wondering if it was bus lane rules, but this was 6pm heading into the city. on my way back, checked again, as i know there is a bus lane rule, but didnt see any sign. has got me upset about that road. like i said, the light seems to be flashing a hell of a lot, mind you i saw a guy fridya night hit the breaks hard through a green, as the light flashed. guess he was exceeding 40km. but as for running reds, that is just purely stupid. there are people who time the lights, to pick a nice launch when it hits green. thats when you get things RIGHT ANGLED.

ok, yeah im lazy, and just trying to drum up an indication of sau interest. i went last december, took a friend with me, who took his brother up early this year. so now the whole posse is interested in going, since it doesnt require licenses and is dirt cheap. apparently the last fun day had half the people, so less cars on the track, and much more comfortable day. december put me off, with so many cars, and people started getting ****y as the day went on, so rode ya ass into corners too much. anyway, july it is, prolly head up then. just concerned since no mention of it here; wondeirng if it been overlooked or come and gone. cheers.

When is Winton's Open day. Thought they had a mid year event. Lost their letter, and calendar is bare. Have some friends keen for this., Also anyone want to comment on this track in winter? safe, slick? busy?

Wont be able to make this one. Already have expensive plans lined up for that weekend. For those who are first timing, take it easy first session; then get someone (instructor) to show you how its done. You will learn a lot. If you come off, you will be fine, so long as you dont hit a wall.

Not really that scared about cones. Just flash back to embarrising experience at defensive driving course, where i couldnt even see the cones behind the car, and was suppose reverse around the things. just got caught up under the car/tyres. Sounds like a lot of fun. I am keen to do this. Right now just running numbers in my head, as i have a lot of expenses this month, car rego, plus other large bills. Looking at last years pictures, forget whose, where they are just dropping a huge ass burnout, and suggesting bringing different rubber. Was looking to get some bald tyres fitted to some spare rims, but having looked at regulations, require the tyres to be road worthy. Hmm. Tyres are nearing worn, and dont want to punish them AND have to drive back to melbourne. Just going to add more bills oh well, just post poning inevitable. just a shame all my bills coming this time of year. I will look at pulling the money from somewhere. Too many good things to miss out on, that im sure ill would regret if skipping (outside of club too). -
