  1. I have a Profec B spec 2 on my rb20det using a vg30 turbo with an rb20 actuator. I have the gain set at 2% at the moment and the start gain setting at 0.87bar, this gives me a nice setting with minmal spike, holds around 1.15-1.2 bar like this. From the experience i have had with the controller the less gain set the better.
  2. R34 GTR N1, my fav model.
  3. I use a Greddy Profec B spec 2, works very well. and not badly priced either.
  4. Roy, im hoping to see how tough the rb20det std internals are, in march going to be putting a gt3040 on the side of mine and see how it goes
  5. Turbo is the same, Yes the larger 4 pot brakes, also 5 stud instead of 4 stud hubs. Non type m is basically a gts with a turbo motor, so it has the gts suspension as well rather than the gtst suspension eg smaller sway bars etc.
  6. Torquenstein, 1 more problem with your plan is the fact that the rb25det from an r33 gts25t wont bolt straight into the gts4 when you want to do your swap. You would need an adaptor kit to fit the rwd rb25 block to the 4wd running gear.
  7. Id use the sr20det, its much lighter than the rb25de and with light mods makes alot more power and torque. Being alot shorter should make it easier to fit as well.
  8. Im buying myself a Profec B spec 2 for xmas, cant wait
  9. Have you plugged the small hole on the underside of the bov? Plug that hole up and it stops it leaking so badly. Im currently running 1.3bar still on a std bov, seems okay:)
  10. I thought it was suppossed to be anything over 8.8mm you had to machine but apparently the apexi cams for the rb20 are 8.9mm so im not to sure, 9.0mm might be a little to much.
  11. For all those interested i have some R33 GTR cams arriving tommorrow and when i get a chance ill be putting those into my gts4. Not running std ecu through (have a link) but will let everyone know how i get on and if theres any probs (fingers crossed it works well )
  12. I run a 3" as well, the 2.5 would be alright if you weren't after large amounts of hp but the 3" is better.
  13. I run 1.3bar all day everyday on a vg30 bb turbo, have seen a spike as high as 1.6bar tho 8)
  14. I think the microtech should run 550's alright, just make sure your tuner can give you a nice lean cruise setting otherwise fuel economy will be awful
  15. It looks like Ray Mullany has resurfaced and doing dodgy deals over the net again trading under the name Graeme Harper or harper trading etc. There are 2 threads on SDU about this http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...&threadid=35606 and http://forums.skylinesdownunder.co.nz/show...&threadid=35610 so just beware if he offers to sell you parts that you will never see them. jeff
  16. I agree SDU went down hill something chronic when it got to political (hence why im not a member anymore) SAU forums seem to be more "on topic" and "knowledgeable". Just to add im sure there is a few ppl around here from the old ezboard days many years ago (5?) the original birthplace of both forums
  17. i think you will still need the resistor packs.
  18. I would upgrade your injectors because they will be completely maxed at that boost level id say if getting a little on the lean side with the gt28, they arent an expensive mod so it will be worth it so you can use the potential of the turbo.
  19. The pump will allow for a little extra, maybe an extra 5-10kw but not alot. That was 190 kw at the wheels Minorci, not the flywheel, so you'll probably get 300-310 flywheel hp from the std injectors with good tuning.
  20. Ive got my resistors mounted on the ecu case in the cabin and spliced into the loom, less wires around the engine bay that way, ill try and get hold of a digi cam and take a photo.
  21. Im using a 5kg trust flywheel with an exedy hd clutch, its a little shuddery on hill starts and takes a bit more rpm to get off the mark, but the engine does rev more freely which you notice on up changes and downchanges.
  22. On a hub dyno i maxed out the std injectors and fuel pump on my gts4 at 190rwkw, so would be a bit less on a rolling road id imagine.
  23. I got my resistors to run the 450cc 4g63 injectors from Link Electrosystems in NZ, was about 150bucks but the aussie agent for link should be able to get them.
  24. I also recommend bridgestone S03's, they give awesome wet and dry grip.
  25. My gtst and 4 both ran 9psi bog std and would hold that boost, with exhaust and a panel filter that increased to 11psi and didnt drop off. Have to checked to see if your i/c pipes are all on tight?
