  1. In the article, they were able to make more power with LPG, and also overcome the increase of fuel consumption by running the LPG in a similar fashion to that of a normal fuel injection system. Apparently the current common design for LPG systems is based on a design founded in the 1950's and is similar by comparison to a carburettor type set up, so as you can gather - is quite inneficient by todays standards. Having said that, im not an expert on the topic, and am only re-iterating what I can remember from the article
  2. Thats what I thought, but thought the standard ECU might be able to throw a bit more timing at the motor after it adjusted to the 100ron?
  3. You can do it, they're doing it to XR6 turbos in SA using pretty advanced LPG injection management system coming from Italy. Get a hold of issue 101 of Zoom, its the June issue for 2006, theres an article about it. The place in Adelaide who can fit them is called Adelaide performance Engineers ph: 08 8277 5688
  4. Why did you opinion drop because they run more boost stock? obviously the induction side of things is designed completely different to an RB motor, and if they can handle more boost out of the factory perhaps thats because of a lower compression ratio, or they have very strong internals... something I can't answer myself.... Completely different motor, still performs well.... but yes considerably more boost by comparison.
  5. Ah same background as me
  6. it plays some stupid Hyundai commercial for me...
  7. yep looks like its working again!
  8. Yeah not working still, problem is I'd rather buy from them as their range seems a little more broad and prices are often a bit better
  9. Is that for your cosmo? The small holes aorund the inlet are anti surge holes yeh?
  10. 5000kms + new filter... comes out reasonably honey coloured too when draining it
  11. It was probably your ecu playing with timing etc to adjust to the higher octane fuel. As far as I know 100ron fuel is common place in Japan and was probably used in alot of our cars prior to comeing to Australia anyway.
  12. From what I've read people do it to reduce the cooler pipe length and increase response.... at the same time I've read it reduces torque and increased the power band up higher in to the rev range so weather it works or not im not sure.... most likely a decent tune needs to be performed after installing one.
  13. Have a read: http://skylinesdownunder.com/forums/showthread.php?p=442681

  17. Just wondering how the holder is secured in place in an R33 as it doesnt seem very clear in the pictures? Is it firm? the last thing i want is for it to rattle or move around when driving over bumps.
  18. omg there was a thread about this about 3-4 days ago. Search!
