  1. Whats your point, I'd actually go out on a limb and say the majority of R31's are better than VS's I see these days and they're also alot older. As for the GTR in bathurst, yes it was heavily handicapped. Cams also even considered reducing its tyre width so that all 4 wheels where equivelant to the two rear (driving wheels) of a commodore making them all 135's or something rediculous.
  2. I can split them if you both follow through with the sale I guess PM if you're both interested
  3. Looks really nice mate, love it!
  4. doubt it. But eBay japan often has some surprises
  5. Sorry won't fit an R34, as the shocks are different for the rear.
  6. Make an Offer. These are in A1 condition. perfect if you are looking to replace your shocks with brand new ones or are lowering your car.
  7. two jay zee no shit
  8. Wow, that thing will decimate all... after we put about 15 grand into it.... overnight parts from japan if we have to.
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Galant_VR-4 True, but the 4cyl's are single turbo, the V6's are twin.
  10. Yep, you're right, I was thinking it wouldn't be possible to run a sequential system on a V6. The GTO runs twin TD04-9b turbo's. I was talking about the VR-4 Galant's but think I was wrong about them too (also V6). The others I mentioned should be right though
  11. What model soarer is that? my mate has a 91 1JZ and both of his turbo's are definately CT-12s The only factory cars I know of running the sequential turbo system (as opposed to parallel) are the S6+ RX7, TT Supra, Mitsubishi GTO and the Mitsubishi Gallant. Not to say there aren't others though...
  12. Radiator core is probably blocked up/full of scale and crap. If so, take it to a radiator specialist and get them to unblock it. Failing that, use it as an opportunity to upgrade to a nice thick alloy one
  13. Read my post earlier. BMW's are only expensive because of the gov't tax put on them. Go to Germany and you'll see that they are the equivelant to Holden and Ford Australia.
  14. Screamer is when the wastegate gasses are dumped straight to the atmosphere (ie the wastegate pipe doesnt plumb back in) I would buy one of BATMBL's split pipes. He has a group buy running at the moment so just get one of those. If the R34 turbo bolted up to the stock R32 dump, then I'd say BATMBL's dump/front pipe should work ok (check with him first)
  15. Just checked the book, I was sorta wrong before ToF sounds like it was a bit of both
  16. Actually I beleive Holden & Ford Australia put their heads together and wrote a formal letter the to ATC stating that they were unable to produce a competivie 4/6cyl turbo motor and that they were going to seek other forms of motorsport such as NASCAR. In which case they changed the rules in their favour. Atleast that's what I read in the Sky is the Limit pdf. If you want a rumour worth spreading start telling people the ATC changed the rules to max 2 valves per cylender and OHC shafts were banned lol.
  17. I think its funny that everone keeps saying "oh but its a massive leap for holden" When in fact that is the fundimental problem. They've lep't foward to 10 years ago. Any company anywhere else in the world (USA aside)would probably have gone belly up by now due to the primitive nature of these filthy specimens when comparing them to other equivelant vehicles. Vehicle's in other countries have always been years ahead of Holden, it's just that the Australian government prices them out of the same market as the commodore by putting an import/luxury tax on them (BMW for example). Well done Holden, you've caught up to 1996.
  18. Basic? Holden's Alloytech is only just catching up to the RB. Slap a Holden badge on a bunch of Lada's and I bet motor and drive etc will re-commence the same sort of orgies that have already begun stating how it's a revolutionary vehicle. Point is they always fail to recognise The technology's 10 years old.
  19. Can't wait until we get one at work....... .........so I can see if there's a fuse I can pull on that forklift inspired electronic handbrake and electric accelerator before rolling it over a cliff
  20. I have a 95 also and have a S2 motor. Think you'll find all post 95 R33's are the same.
  21. Some form of Plastic type Urethane I think
  22. Fibreglass cracks easier and doesn't have as much flex as FRP (fibre re-inforced plastic) or flexiglass. Just have to be careful with it.
  23. Agreed. For the amount of effort and stuffing around plus the cost (say $2,000 to do it all) you could definately spend your money better in other ways. If you're not confident about buffing them yourself pay a detailer. The same thing happens to EF,EL falcon headlights so most places will know what they're doing and would cost $100 max.
