  1. You can re-use the backet on the bottom of the factory ECU, but not all the bolts line up. For the side I used some of the velcro provided.
  2. Scan pages
  3. I wouldn't say they're better in any way. They look better with the S2 front bar as they're a bit newer, however the GTR kept the same shape through the entire GTR series, the only update they had was the xenon low beam. If your going to spend several thousand in converting to S2 headlights, front bar and bonnet, why not buy some S3 GTR xenons.
  4. It sounds like the laser in the CD stacker may be on its way out and may be causing the skipping. You can try taking it to an electronic repair place where they may be able to turn up the gain on it, but in the long run it will probably fail It's possible to keep the stock head unit and use an amplifier, you just have to find one which has speaker wire inputs (can't remember the technical name) Alternatly you could purchase a Namamichi h/u which will provide crystal clear sound (possibly the best you can get, but im bias ) which looks nice and clean
  5. You need a S2 bonnet and grille, the guards are the same. Do a search. But why bother, you can fix up the head lights (search for this too) and you have a S1, I dont understand why you'd want to turn it into something it isnt. Also the S2 headlights do the same after time anyway.
  6. I would be worried about the numbers wearing off after time which may suggest the pin. Farnell sell a vandall proof keypad with the numbers etched into the buttons which are metal. The whole thing is a metal unit making it very difficult to open up.
  7. I use a Power Enterprise pod purchased from Greenline.jp enclosed in a unique auto sport box. gives a bit of induction noise with a fairly loud "huff" when backing off the accelerator.
  8. Yes the R31 is a nice reliable first car, one of my mates got one about 6 years ago when we we're still in school - looks exactly the same as the second on in those pics. He still drives it today. I've been thinking of getting one myself lately and getting an LPG conversion so I can run it as a daily. Just take your time and wait until you find the right one
  9. I would have thought you would need some kind of pump to send the oil through the cooler, which I dont think the manual gear boxes have.
  10. Cat is now in, can hear and feel a difference. very happy.
  11. Turbo is ok in Vic. Their system is much better than NSW as it's determined by power to weight.
  12. Taken from: http://www.leesracing.com/articles/a1.html Research Octane Number (RON) is measured under mild conditions and is more important in controlling part throttle knock. Motor Octane Number (MON) is measured under more severe conditions and is most important for octane satisfaction at wide open throttle. Anti-Knock Index (AKI) is the average of the RON and MON. This is the number posted on the retail gasoline pumps normally indicating 87, 89, or 92 octane. Racing gasoline have AKI's from 100 to 118 Taken from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating The most common type of octane rating worldwide is the Research Octane Number (RON).
  13. RON is the measurement of Octane is it not?
  14. ulti-max-ergy-tex is the best 98 you can get
  15. The cover is high performance
  16. Hahahaha What's sadder is that they'll probably sell
  17. Beat me to it
  18. If its just a GTST they've gone to alot of trouble changing to S3 xenons, GTR side indicators, badging, pumped guards, rear wing, M spec seats and a midnigh purple paint job
  19. woops, nice GTR whoever owns it
  20. On a GTR maybe not so bad. Nice brakes and rims though ignuz u lucky sob!!
  21. I've seen a 400R bar on an otherwise completely bare R33 (no side skirts or rear pods) and it looked very gay
  22. mine arrived! Is there mean't to be a catco stamp on it with an arrow?
  23. I prefer Greenline, they usually get back to me on the same day and are alot of the time cheaper (I've found) The thing that has annoyed me with Nengun is that if a par isn't listed and I ask for them to put it on the site (so I can buy it), 90% of the time they ignore my request.
