You do relise that 000 calls can be made from a mobile without a simcard. And if someone was desperate enough they could use someone else's simcard, its not hard ive lost two mobiles in my time. Or perhaps attempt to use someone else's ID. Again thats not hard considering people lose their wallet's alot. I purely made this forum to get an understanding as to why something illegal on our streets was significantly available to anyone. Not just those who use it for track purposes. Regardless of weather its safe or unsafe is irrelevant because it still is illegal.

I understand where you're coming from but there are heaps of laws and restrictions in place unrelated to "safety". Like age restrictions on purchasing scratchies and lottery tickets. Age restrictions for viewing movies and tv shows. You have to show ID just to purchase a SIM card, how is that related to safety?

Im not familiar with any stock cars with turbo timers? What are the ones you know of?

How many people do you honestly think only modify their car for purposes other than use on public roads?

If its the worst thread atm then I'm delighted to hear you spared a minute or so to involve yourself. If its only legal to modify a track car with the above mods then people with track cars should be the only ones accessible to them? Just like in chemists where proof of ID is required to purchase some drugs.

Are Turbo Timers illegal modifications in NSW? Are BOV's illegal modifications in NSW? Are FMI illegal modifications in NSW? Are Boost Controllers illegal modifications in NSW? If so, can the above become legalised with the addition of a engineering cert? If not, why can these illegal mods be sold in australia and so easily assessable? Unlike for example lock picking implements which are impossible to find nation wide?
