Thanks guys haha. Fitted my Nardi Classic today. Spent a good half an hour figuring out why the nardi horn button wouldnt fit the HUB like a moron until I realised the Hub had a slip in reducer in that just pops out HURR DUURR. Also fitted my new Gear shift boot from Topgaiters, perfect. The Handbrake boot however is a pain in the ass, the steel wire supplied in them is very flexible and just sucks, so Im going to perform a transplant of the old boots wire rim into the new boot, shouldnt be hard at all. Also, began removing the rubbery black coating thats on the gearshift surround, stereo surround and drivers door switch surround, Peeled half of it off by rubbing it with my thumb until my skin began to burn, then my smart mind decided to assault it with wax and grease remover and a cloth, too easy. Such a shitty factory coating, just peels off like nothing... Will remain raw black plastic until I decide what to do with it all. NO PICS I KNOW, TERRIBLE BUILD THREAD.... left my camera kit at home in Newcastle like an idiot, very pissed as Port Macquarie has had some crazy good sunsets and lightning storms these past few days .... -_-

Dylans R33 Gts-T
Bennis replied to stump_69's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
What sort of boost do you want to run? Its hard to say as not too many people opt for the GTX series turbos, most stick with the GT series or recently the Force Performance HTA series (see 34geeteetee or lithiums threads). Have a read of Angrys build thread, he was running a gtx3076r for a little bit before selling it for a twinscroll gt series. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/426934-angryrbs-r33-street-sweeper/#entry6888986 Its well known that at around 18-20psi you will see 300rwkw +- out of a GT3076r 0.82 with streetable response. My GT3582r powered rb25 makes 330rwkw on 23psi, but its laggier than a gt3076r obviously. The GTX series turbos are laggier than their GT equivalents but they flow more, so ide say easily 300rwkw at those higher boost levels but its unfortunately going to be a bit laggier than a Gt3076r. Also check out 6boost, ETM and Brae Fabrication for manifold choice, all steampipe like powertunes. Braes one of the newer lesser known producers but he has some epic designs, high and low mount. -
Are These Rims Fixable? Help Please (Pics)

All the costs associated with transport, labour, possible extra labour to repair etc you would be out of pocket more than just the inital repair cost imo. -

Ide just hunt down a set of cheap rims and tyres, they are out there. Standard 5x114.3 falcon / territory rims will clear your brakes and can be had with usable tyres for under $200. Hell, I just got myself a set of r32 gtr wheels with yokohama advan r1s with near full tread for $400. In the long run, you will have more money in your pocket by getting something cheap to suit in the meantime then you would finding a place to fix these. -

XXRs arent a great deal of money, I had my old set landed for $800. After getting these all fixed up and looking pretty again you wouldnt be far off the price of a new set of XXRs man. Maybe just get some cheap shit wheels to get it driveable and save up for the new ones you wanted? -

Point of the varex is not to make the car legal and as Nytsky said itll fail an inspection, just a way to PERHAPS get cops off your back by making your exhaust quiet. Half the reason im getting one, other half is to make it quiet when I come home at midnight so I dont piss the neighbours off + long highway drives too.

Hey guys, Have an ATC Sprint-R Steering Wheel for Sale. It came with my new car and it feels amazing, sturdy and strong. The leather is immaculate with no wear, tear, rips or scaling. The only reason it is being swapped is because I am fitting a Nardi Classic which I have unconditional love for Specs -330mm version -Like New Condition, the leather and stitching is immaculate -The ATC horn button was missing, so I will include a 'powered by HKS' horn button, its tested and works perfectly and clips into your boss kit like normal. Not too sure what its worth. Found some online between $210 and $350...... Asking $125ono. Can post too at your expense, shouldnt be a great deal. Located Newcastle NSW Pics... Hey mate, the only place I have heard of that do legal exhausts that flow big numbers is Racepace I think it is. I remember R31Nismoid posting about them, I think he had one on his car so maybe PM him, BUT theyr super expensive. Perhaps go down the route I am. I currently have a 3.5" Kakimoto Full Mega N1 on my r33 and its spastic loud with a gt3582r and no cat. Ill be adding a 3.5" venom cat, 3.5" varex muffler in the CENTRE and then Im getting a new 3" axle back pipe into a high flow oval muffler for the street. The 3" axleback section should pose no problem, I am only at 330rwkw and people have made much higher on a 3" full system. The benefit of the centre varex will mean it is a bit harder to detect on a roadside check by a cop, so it will obviously help you get away with those (well atleast thats my plan). Im going to do the in-car switch modification and get rid of the wireless for the varex too. Hopefully by the end I should have a quiet exhaust by the flick of a switch and be able to retain any rear section I want, whether its the 3.5" Kakimoto item or the 3" discreet oval section I will be using on the street. Im going to use a 3" Vibrant muffler for the street, free flowing and sound good.

34Geeteetee Daily / Track Project
Bennis replied to 34GeeTeeTee's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Hey Mat, your breather setup looks stock but is your breahter setup the standard setup ? Wanting to convert mine to standard and get rid of the catch can setup but not sure if its wise with a motor with alot of stuff on it. -
Can spectators come watch the hill climbs? I could enter my Peugeot in it, probably perfect for the little beast but ide rather come have a watch and take some photos.

Saw that same car the other day at the Subway thats near the 7Eleven / Maccas after the Hexham bridge. Plates read 34GTTR and it has Volk GTC wheels. Its a GTT, standard rb25 exhaust note. Really nice car though, looked immaculate.

$600 painful dollars for my Peugeot 306 gti6 daily. Due next week. Rough times

Any more pics of yours Artz? Looks great

Always been a big fan of the above style I/C setup and if I had the funds Ide do it on my own car. Have not seen it before on an R33 but have seen it on a Nigel Petrie's really popular S13 (the only s13 I like, its really well done). Just google his name and car, theres build threads out there and im sure he has info on what he did. Would be a similar job for an R33 I imagine. Pics

Very well aware of that, have one on my car. I was just off in a rant Surely you got the drift though.

I used to work at Supercheap. Don't trust their system with anything non australian delivered or anything uncommon, european and japanese cars especially. Alot of the information in it isnt exactly 100% correct and boy did we hear about it when people came back. Sooo many people that work at Supercheaps will talk like they know what theyr on about and theyr just talking off the screen and adding some casual tongue to the convo to get you the sale. If its not ford, holden, or australian delivered in general, be skeptical with anything they give you. My 2c. I hated my job there and eventually quit. Spent half my time telling people to go to Bursons lol
-
Dont even waste your time extracting power from one of nissans slowest motors ever lol. Erase the thought from your mind because NOTHING you do besides a turbo conversion will have any lasting effect and be worth it.
-
Dude, seriously. What do you think you will gain from putting an aftermarket AIR FLOW METER, a METER!! on youre n/a. Far out, I cannot understand or imagine how your brain must function

Wont be happening for months. Cars in Port Macquarie where its being stored while I gather parts. Once its done, its coming back here for tune and possibly paint. Will definitely keep them blokes in east maitland in mind. THeres a huge fancy Orange building near my house called Steve K**** Smash Repairs (forgot his last name lol). Might go see what theyr like when the time comes. Ill see if I can come to the cruise if my daily gets fixed up. Housemate somehow manged to drive his car into my daily peugeot in our hill driveway and he has pushed my exhaust on it and its fowling under the car and leaking pretty bad. Hoping to get it fixed this week sometime. Rego also this week so ima be super poor by the end of it lol.

The owner is obviously a pretty wealthy guy. Its been for sale for agesss, years I reckon. I have seen it time and time again for sale. I blame not just the steep price but the old-era styling. If I were him, ide update its cosmetic condition to suit current times and trends that sell. He could probably sell the bodykit and wing for a bit to someone whos after a genuine good condition item. Stock bodykit + better fitment + respray if he wants to fork out for it. Yeah, obviously going to cost alot to do that but I think it would sell the car. At the minimum stock wing + some better wheel fitment would help it sell. That shade of purple isnt everyones pick of colour.

So whats a good body shop in Newcastle? Deciding whether to get my paint and whatnot fixed here or back in Port Macquarie. Anyone have any experience and might be able to guesstimate a price. Its basically mostly plastic bumpers for the most part. What needs doing? - Front Bar respray, mild scrapage damage on the lower lip. - Small section on rear quarter panel, no bigger then your hand size. - Rear bar, full respray. Has bad paint chippage in bottom left corner. -Maybe Spoiler Never had to have plastic parts repaired. I noticed with the chipping paint on this stock rear bar I bought yesterday its pretty deep stuff (the distance between topcoat of paint and base of bumper, its millimeters). Is it just body filler > plastic primer?

Thursday prices were completely rediculous, I believe it was 1.71 for 98. Where as on Monday I think it was 1.51 (I was in shock when I saw lol). Really grinds my gears when prices fluctuate so much.
