Hey mate, is your bootlid and spoiler still available? Im in Newy and will take it off you if it is. Cheers

Am about to pull off my gt3582r to put it up for sale to try and get the ball rolling on purchasing my new turbo, a gt3076r. Would the oil and water fittings/lines be interchangable? Gt3582r 0.82 external gate > gt3076r 0.82 external gate Would prefer to keep them so as not to purchase more. Thanks SAU

Fs- Garrett Gt3540 .82 Rear Housing (New)
Bennis replied to sky30's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
It wont mate. The housing is externally the same but the inside is machined to suit the larger gt3582r wheel. -
Who Has Used Kinugawa Turbine Housings?
Bennis replied to Bennis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Fantastic! -
Seen this done before on some unusual builds, usually turbo diesel trucks. Ull need a flappy thing on top of the pipe to stop rain getting in and whatnot. If its a track car than why not I say. Sure itll look rediculous but it sounds like thats the aim of it. It wont be hard to make. Make pipe that faces up, cut hole. Simple haha

Who Has Used Kinugawa Turbine Housings?
Bennis replied to Bennis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Nice info guys. I dont expect to make 330rwkw again, I would be happy with 280-300 on 20psi. Want to run a lower boost on the street though. Pump98. GTScoT I could be keen for a swap. Mines a 0.82 gt3582r t3. Not sure how many km's is it on it though but its perfectly fine. -
Who Has Used Kinugawa Turbine Housings?
Bennis replied to Bennis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Never heard of them before. Just had a look on their website. They have the gt3076r 0.63 a/r for $1310. Doesnt say whether its 52t or 56t. Ill have to get in contact and see what they can do for a 56t 0.82a/r. If its close I might buy through them. -
Who Has Used Kinugawa Turbine Housings?
Bennis replied to Bennis's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sigh There is a big thread about kando TURBOS not the turbine housings... I am asking about the housings. I dont want a hypergear I want a garrett gt3076r. Its a bit annoying that everytime someone asks an innocent question about turbos on this forum that people come in and shoot them down with responses directing them to completely different topics or products. Your reply has nothing to do with my question at all which is about turbine housings offered by a company. -
Hey guys, Have been searching around for the cheapest possible new gt3076r available. The best possible combo I have found is as follows: GCG Garrett GT3076R-56T "supercore" http://www.gcg.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=2450&category_id=499&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=101 + Kinugawa 0.82a/r 84trim T3 Turbine Housing http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbine-Housing-Kinugawa-Garrett-GT30R-GT3037-GT3076R-GTX3076R-A-R-82-12cm-/271242857966?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f27558dee&_uhb=1 .... All up this would cost $1304.60 which is $300-400 cheaper than any other option I can find. My question is, are these kinugawa housings reliable being they are half the price of a garrett? I know the kinugawa turbos are decent budget items but there isnt much search results about just the housings alone. Also, Kinugawa offer a 0.73a/r option aswell. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbine-Housing-Kinugawa-Garrett-GT30R-GT3037-GT3076R-AR73-10cm-60-55mm-Trim84-/290947420764?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43bdd1525c&_uhb=1 Has anyone ever had any experience of this size housing on a gt3076r + rb25 combo? I know the 0.63 sizes are a bit restrictive for power but have good response. Would a mid-way 0.73 size be a good compromise? Atm the rb25 makes 330rwkw @ 23psi with a gt3582r 0.82 but am interested in picking up response at the expense of some power. Was just going to go 0.82 as so many people have examples of the response and power capable but am curious as to the potential of the 0.73. Any info would be great, Cheers

ps 330rwkw is pretty rediculous for the street. my 33 makes it with a laggier gt3582r and Its impossible to give it a squirt without breaking the law dramatically haha. Im currently looking to go down to a gt3076r and less power for a more responsive and friendly drive.

290rwkw is pretty awesome man and will be a good compromise between response / streetability / power! The twin scroll gt3076r wont be worth it in the end, if you want to spend all that money fiddling about just sell it off and go for a newer technology turbo. Ill bump the hta3076r. Search for it on here, its more responsive and makes more power than a standard gt3076r in any form (internal or external gate) and in non twin scroll t3. Just costs a bit more but sounds like money isnt too fussy if youre planning twinscroll , new manifold etc etc.

I dont own one?? hahaha

Wont be legal if youre doing this on your ps... sell car buy another or deal with the amazing rarity that is an rb20e.
-
Easier than Cata... I play it for casual pvp only. There is no real challenge or reward left in the game like in the old days when you were respected for having 'purple / rare gear' lol.

Well you must be a minority then if you find the sound of an n/a skyline's exhaust note pleasing. Like alot of straight 6 BMW's, twincam RB motors are awfully raspy and droney in n/a form. The only real way to counteract it is to have a quiet exhaust system, or even better stock. Instead of putting up with the horrible raspy drone from an n/a, ive found it more enjoyable being able to cruise in peace and quiet. If I want noise, then I will get a pod filter in a box. Plant the car and all of a sudden it becomes brutally loud and has a nice throaty intake sound that believe you me, with a QUIET exhaust can actually be heard a hundred or so meters in front of the car. Intake noise is always drowned by loud exhausts, people dont know what they are missing out on imo lol.

Anyone have series 2 r33 spoiler in Newy that they want to sell me? Got a few down in Sydney but cbf to drive down atm haha
-
Just a friendly warning to any p platers that this car is not p plate legal despite the N/A engine it is still a turbo model and you will cop the full defect & penaltys.
-
If you go for the varex get it put in the centre of your system as an oval version and paint it black. If youre like me and plan on using it when being pulled over etc then it will be just about impossible to spot being the centre muffler unless they literally crawl under your car and manage to get a look at the control box on top of the muffler (which you could easily hide anyway). Yes still not legal but a hell of alot easier to convince an officer its a quiet system when they cannot see the valve, especially if you have a discreet twin tip rear muffler.

Why would you want to run 80mm spacers? Even though they are bolt on they are still dangerous and even worst being so thick... just get wheels with a good offset standard!
