Body Filler Cracking Off - How Much To Fix?
Bennis replied to masasaki2342's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
$280... wow. My old GQ patrol had this sort of rusting all around the roof gutters, about 45cm of in total around the whole car. Also roof racks had caused rust lines where they scraped paint along the top of the roof. To get it all repaired and the entire roof resprayed cost $400. $280 for that incredibly tiny area is a bit insane in my eyes, or maybe I just go to a cheap bodyshop. (that being said, nothing went wrong with the repair on the patrol in the 5 months I had it until it was sold). -

What wastegate you thinking of running? Remember the higher boost the smaller size gate as a rule of thumb. -
Piggaz that second pic is pretty close to what I had been mentally visually in my mind for weeks! Thanks heaps for that

Nice mate, that looks pretty good! Keep em coming guys, above example is good

Hi guys, I have a bit of an obsession with exhaust aesthetics. Alot of people dont care, but I cant help it. After pictures of your exhaust systems that ARE NOT cannons or drift pipes. So basically - oval mufflers / single or twin tip / straight or angled exit. Preferrably R33 and preferably twin tip mufflers. Reason is I am going to get a more discreet oval style muffler for my r33 to swap out with the Kakimoto Mega N1 cannon. I really like the twin twip straight cut edge styles that are commonly seen on Hakosukas and other older Japanese cars. Pretty much every oval muffler I find on google is the huge canister with the rolled-in single edge tips which arent bad but I can barely find any twin tip mufflers. (not drift pipes) This is the sort of style im referring too. I have found one single muffler that suits what I am after. The Vibrant #1111. 3" inlet / twin 2.5" outlet. I much prefer mufflers with the lipped muffler edges, rather than the seamless styles that most magnaflow/ xforce products are. pic below Strange and picky request but if you think you can help it would be great!!

My first car was an R31 and wow, what value for money they are imo! Cant wait to get another one, one day and turn it into a cheap drift car. Lock diff, turbo rb30, s13 coilovers - drive it until sometihng breaks and replace it cheap. RB30s can be had for cartons, the gearboxs arent too hard to find and are fairly cheap. The biggest rarity is diffs really as far as I know.

Does anyone in newcastle have an old crappy turbo they dont want (the cheapest of cheaper china, i dont mind). All it needs is some sort of exhaust housing and turbine wheel that still spins properly, dont care about anything else. Average size would be good, probably cant use a monster big item for what I want. Its just for a little project Let me know if you have some junk laying around that you want to donate or sell for a very small amount.

Halfway Between A Dog Box And A Syncromesh Box.
Bennis replied to Rolls's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Dont have much to add technical wise, but I saw you mention that hte ppg guy might have taken several takes to get that vid. Heres an AWD rb26 cefiro with a quaife dogbox, street driving it. Just incase you were wanting to see some other AWD nissan dogbox street work. Seems to drive nicely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M37PnaLbOJs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=D1yFXlJYtI0#t=86s -
Drifting around in the wet in a public place is stupid and would have to be so much less controlled than skidding around in the dry (Which is just as bad in a public place). Dont know why people do it, arent they scared or worried they could spin out and smash their car into a power pole, write it off and look like a complete idiot to every one even more than they already appear to be... not to mention perhaps harm themselves. XUB-222 be his plate, a silver r33 gts that looks a bit worst for wear. Might go on the cruise, cant bring my r33 though it would have to be my peugeot. We will see if im working or not!

IN OTHER NEWS, Was just driving home from work and followed a shitter silver r33 gts p plater whom was kicking the rear end out around pretty much every corner. Facepalm lol. I could name and shame the plate if its not shunned against lol

Sometime in the future when everyone thinks there cars are 'pretty' enough for a shoot, lets arrange it for sure, the more the merrier and everyone gets free awesome pics! That 34gttr is definitely standard or near standard rb25, I heard him take off and it sounds and gos like a standard rb25 with exhaust and filter. Rb26s sound a bit less gurgly/burbly standard and more refined. (personally not a fan of the rb26 exhaust note unless its single turbo or has equal length front pipe for twins).

Hahahaha. I know how you feel about the WoW quitting mate, its harder than it sounds. Ive had my phases too. I was completely, purely and utterly addicted during BC, and I am so happy I was as it was an amazingly rewarding game back then. I raided weekly and enjoyed alot of evil world pvp and imo it was the funnest days of WoW. Nothing quite like doing kara once a week with my guildies. I am in the same guild to this day. I was hacked days after I dinged 80 in WotLK and got the shits and quit until weeks before Cata came out. Came back to Cata and played it semi-casually but had given up on raiding and series pve in general and began life as a pvp-er. Semi-casual pvp throughout cata, and quit for a few months but my friend bet me $100 that I could have a lvl 85 of each class in 365 days... so I began again. I could have easily done this in a month or two if I no-lifed but real life got the hold on me and I failed at this bet hahahahah, I managed to get an 85 rogue, druid, DK, shaman and hunter, the others were all 58ish on the final day in Hellfire. Currently playing on a very casual basis, I only do battlegrounds these days as arenas really bring out an anger in me that i dont really like lol. I think of it as 50cents per day, even if im not playing Its such a tiny amount I dont care lol. I go on once or so a week and do some BGs with my friends, but thats about it. WoW isnt what it used to be, but Its impossible to quit... Theres my wow life story as Ive had way to much caffeine and its 4am and cannot sleep

Actually, 30k. Just re read it all and probs wouldnt pay 40 for it lol

Stock bodykit + respray in a standard colour + lowered price and itll sell. If I had 40k ide buy it for 40k with a stock bodykit and a standard non-homosexual colour. Couldnt care less if its a GTS4 or not, its a mental car. But its just so expensive and a bit ugly itll never sell at that price.

The biggest downside is they drink fuel, more so than other common imports and its due to their weight. However they are very practical (besides fuel) , I have a friends dad who owned a stock one for a few years and he loved it more so than the evo, vy SS or wrx he previously had.

Are These Rims Fixable? Help Please (Pics)
Bennis replied to tripsteady's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Itll be fine, itll just mushroom. Alot of muscle car owners do it. Just google 8" wide 255 tyre theres heaps of picks. Probably dont go taking corners super aggressively fast but -

He just means run the external wastegate directly off the turbine housing, rather than off the manifold. Better boost control and you can often also save a little bit on the manifold. All thats needed is for a pipe to be grafted and welded onto the turbine housing on a correct angle. pic below shows correct angle, where you can see the gate pipe is flowing straight up off the turbine housing where the gasses do not have to make any sharp or awkward turns. (pic from and of nytskys engine build thread) -
Finally Got My Skyline :)
Bennis replied to Landyy's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Also I was the same, I was into skylines from a very young age, 12 or therebouts and I would also go out of my way as a kid on weekends to go around finding skylines and other imports around town just to get my car fix until youtube came along. Its been a painful 8 year wait but I finally have a 33 gts-t aswell -

Hey buddy, those wheel specs are a bit funky. Nissans are 5x114.3 stud all round, and you have a 5x100 listed there so it wont fit. If you want flush fitment, youre looking at around 9.5" wide and +22 offset on an r33 gts-t. google 'willtheyfit' Its a website where you can enter wheel diameter, width, offset and tyre sizes as well so you can get an understanding of how different widths and offsets will be in comparison to another. Go off the basis that 9.5" wide and +22 offset is basically dead flush on an r33 with rolled guards. -
Thinking Of Single Conversion Turbo Rb26Dett R33 Gtr
Bennis replied to BCNR33GT-R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Are you bloody stupid mate, or a troll... seriously? Grow a brain, read what people are asking you to do. We cannot give you the response you're after if you dont provide details with what you want? After asking numerous times we finally figure out you want 450hp at the wheels... When do you want boost to come on? Whats your budget for supporting mods? (injectors, manifold, wastegate, ecu etc etc)? What fuel as stated above? Theres more than just hurr durr i want some power but respone bruzz... everyone has different interpretations of these words, we need to know YOURS in DETAIL.
