I bet Rays have some special 20" TE37s being made up. Anyway if you can buy Gembella, Alpina, RUF etc parts for European performance cars I don't see why the GTR will be un-moddable. Mod parts will definitely cost more though but as Bumblebee said "If u can afford to buy a gtr then u can afford to modify it with ease."

Just try it and see really. What you really want is to downgrade the PSP back to v1.5 as that is the version which allows you to do anything and also allows you to run the latest firmware as a shell. So basically you can have all the latest version firmware goodies (eg PS3 linkage) but also all the homebrew (eg SNES emulation) stuff. AFAIK for all timing they don't count the pit lane area when doing laptimes. Prove it wasn't a production car. Anyway I have no idea what you have against the GTR. I've read through the GTR thread at http://www.ls1.com.au and even there most of the guys there are really impressed and like it.

Yes but wrong way around - the last R34 JGTC cars used a twin turbo version of the 350Z's VQ35DE.

It has been confirmed (by CEO Ghosn himself!) that the R35 will replace the 350Z in Super GT next year.

AFAIK the GTR has fairly strong RWD bias.

I used a bottle cap for my flutter mod. Worked flawlessly for more than a year. When I finally removed it before trading in the car, it was a bit deformed and black from heat but was otherwise OK.
