  1. Ah okay, well i'll try just use the sock on my old pump, if not i'll hit up repco, cheers!
  2. Cheers man, Could I buy a 'universal' sock or something from Repco and just fab it on to fit, or does the sock have to be a particular shape to fit in the tank?
  3. Just picked up a 2nd hand R33 GT-R pump for my gtst, this is how it came (ignore the pFC): 1. The top feed hose above the actual pump has that little regulator/valve looking thing, which my stock pump doesn't have. What is it? Should I leave it on or just use a straight piece of hose? 2. Also seen in the pic, you'l notice there is no sock on the fuel pick-up tube. How important is it that I get one? The old piece was deteriorated and torn so I removed it. Can I buy one? Where?
  4. Power FC L-Jetro for R33 Gts-t: are they compatible with both series 1 and series 2?
  5. Good to know about the intake guys
  6. So what are your opinions of using a z32 ecu? Can I retain factory driveability/cold start etc without bugs or issues? I've read this forum back to front but can't seem to get a solid reply..
  7. Hey guys quick question not worth starting new thread over: 1. Im buying a z32 + nistune with r33 base tune, do I need a z32 afm to run it or does the ecu work with the stock afm? 2. Anyone running a z32 ecu in their r33? Im getting mixed reports now, where I thought they were a pretty seamless install. Fanxxx
  8. New turbo is in my future I think so I've got a few Q's... I'm aiming for around the 260-270rwkw mark but want the install to be as seamless and look as factory as possible. 1. Should I get a high-flow of my factory turbo or SS1PU? I want response but while maximizing top-end power without losing efficiency in higher revs. Only thing I have to compare to is my mates R34 which was running 260rwkw with a 2871. I liked the power delivery of that turbo. Which high-flow service? Standard? 'Wild'? etc? 2. From what I've read the SS1PU uses a thicker exhaust flange which causes fitment issues between dump pipe and A/C or firewall? 3. Are aftermarket intake pipes needed for any of the above? Would prefer to stick with the stock rubber hoses. 4. Are actuators supplied with any of the above or do I have to source my own/use factory item? Any other turbo suggestions are welcome too.. I can read dyno charts all day but would prefer some qualitative feedback in layman's terms. Cheers!
  9. Thinking these would be perfect.. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/437158-piglets-gtfo-of-my-garage-sale/ ?
  10. The yarra one or the one in reservoir?
  11. Tell me that confetti recaro is still available!
  12. Bought GT-R, doesn't want to rack up kilometers - buys 2nd GT-R, yellow one sits in shed. I'd probably do the same though
  13. Toshi, I want a Z32 Nistune ECU with a pre-loaded map for: R33 Gts-t Manual Full 3" turbo back R34 SMIC GT-R Fuel pump Stock tubro, stock injectors. Can you quote me for supply of this? ETA if I order? Would I need to get a dyno tune to check AFR's etc after fitting?
  14. First thing to look at would be your rear dampers. If they're old/worn-out then they will definitely make the rear end feel floaty. If they check out to be good, then the next step would be to inspect the UCA and LCA bushes. After 15 years the stock items will be on their way out.
  15. Would'be been cool if you embroidered those characters into the door cards trim.
  16. Fuq that... My mum asked if I wanted to go with her to Northland... laughed and went back into the shed.
  17. D: That f**king sucks. Fiberglass really is only good for race applications where looks don't/won't matter. Got any progress pics?
  18. I think one way to combat the adjuster being close to maxed out (ie screwed nearly all the way out) would be removing any line restrictions in the signal pipe. This would allow a higher pressure to reach the boost controller and necessitating a few more turns of the adjusting screw clockwise to achieve the same wastegate pressure. Ill sus that out when I receive it though. Cheers on the explanation of the ECU's R&R/TP load index, helpful to know.
  19. Yea I don't intend to run over .7 bar for now. With a Nistune tune, are the R&R parameters increased to a higher value, allowing more airflow, or is R&R scrapped all together?
  20. Yea I thought so. I hope once I get my turbo high-flowed it will be a similar story: set and forget. CBF with gauge-pollution cluttering my dash. Cheers dude.
  21. Bilstein B6 run roughly the same stroke as the stock KYB dampers. I guess it depends on how old/how many kms they have, but running them with a 30mm taller spring should have no ill-effects on their performance.
  22. lol fair call nizmo. i will get back to fitting 215's on 10.5's.
  23. Hey guys, I've just bought a TurboTech MBC as I'd like to erase the stock 2-stage solenoid in anticipation of a high-flow turbo and Nistune later down the track. For now I'll only be running 10psi through the stock turbo and R34 GT-T SMIC. I've heard good things about the TurboTech controller holding and sustaining steady levels of boost, and have bought a VDO 25PSI mechanical boost gauge in order to set the correct level of boost. VDO are apparently pretty accurate and reliable gauges, and I obviously wouldn't trust the factory dash ornament with my engine's health. My question is, once I have set the controller to my desired boost level, can I safely remove the VDO boost gauge and set it aside for tuning purposes, knowing the controller will safely hold my desired boost. I don't want to mount gauges in the cabin as it attracts unwanted attention and looks tacky. I guess the real question is, are MBC's generally 'set and forget' or over time will boost wander and stray from the original setting?
  24. Vid doesn't work/is set to private. Any luck finding a set of Panasports?
