  1. I love how favorably the reporter spoke about the scene there! Imagine if something similar happened here, we'd have HWP, TMU and ACA all over it slandering us as hoons! F*ck em all! Cool post
  2. Do Victorians have a candidate to vote for?
  3. Not much to say apart from WOW! Must drive a lot better without that huge 42R holding it back!
  4. And very quick postage! Highly recommended guys, if you haven't yet, get on it!
  5. Coz Skyline owners love the D! Car is coming along well, any progress on body?
  6. Cheers dude, SK setup was Bilsteins and King Lows (-30mm). About what I want. Your new wheels should sit pretty well, much better offset.
  7. Is your garage directly on the street or at the back of a driveway? I'm astonished that these Gts-t's are still targeted so hard! Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but they're hardly worth anything these days, and there are plenty of other cars to steal out there..
  8. +1 It seems as though most Gts-T's are stolen by scum looking for a joyride, which an alarm/immobiliser would stop (if installed well). On the other hand more valuable GT-R's usually go on the back of a tow truck, where an immobiliser is useless.
  9. Hey mate, nice looking car, with a good spec list to back it up! What springs is it currently sitting on? I'm looking at King Lows with Bilsteins for my car, and am gauging how it looks. Do you find yours too low? And what offset were the P1's? Looked fairly high! Cheers!
  10. Got mine and installed. Did 120km of mixed driving and needle is only 1/4 way down. Much better than it was. At a guess I'd say I've gone from 18l/100km down to around 16l/100km. Good stuff!
  11. White 33 Gts-T on Mount Ridley today around 5... had Sau sticker.
  12. No need to reshell - he's doing a great job keeping another Skyline out of the scrap yard. I say keep working on it dude, you seem to have a good grasp on how to fix it up, and I'm sure if you keep at it you'll have a straight and clean example.
  13. Could be the clear coat starting to lift? Or moisture getting under there? Will wait for photos.
  14. Yeh definitely post pics! It's actually so simple to do, and comes with good results!
  15. Eghh Pedders!? Tyre Power North Melbourne - There's always some tough Japanese cars being aligned there!
  16. Just placed my order. Good price and will hopefully improve my fuel economy!
  17. Just pay the $5 for a PPSR check, it will let you know if there are any encumbrances against the vehicle. As far as condition goes, as above, state roads or a local mechanic.
  18. I jack from the subframe/diff and put stands under the inner LCA mounts. Recommended gearbox fluid is almost unanimously RedLine MT-90, it's what I run and works well once up to temp.
  19. I'm undecided whether I'd want to know what types of bacteria are growing on my steering wheel haha
  20. D'oh this was meant to be posted in Car Detailing & Paint Care! Mods please move!
  21. Bit of a mini DIY for you guys which is super easy and yet pretty satisfying to do. Yeah those stitches on your steering wheel. Obviously this applies to all leather stitched wheels, not just the factory one. After many years of use, and possibly multiple owners, your Skyline's steering wheel absorbs a whole lot of contaminants, such as hand oil, kebab sauce, sweat etc And cleaning it is probably one of the easiest little DIY detailing jobs you can do. Start with one dirty steering wheel, with some manky, greasy faded stitching... 1 You'll need some expensive supplies. Go to Supacheapo, Autobarn, Repco etc and pick up some interior/upholstery cleaner, steal your mum's nail brush, and go grab some paper towels from the kitchen... 2 Apply and get scrubbing! 3 And dry with the paper towel. Don't be afraid to rub pretty hard, it will lift the last owners 'hand deposits' nicely... Yuck! And finally you have some nice clean red stitching which will really 'pop' from the black leather. Purple Vans FTW! That was easy! One thing to note is not to use solvents such as clothing stain removers, as it can perish the leather. Stick to the foaming upholstery cleaner which is much more gentle.
  22. You'd have to buy two, stick this one in a humidity controlled room, and the other to drive. So clean
  23. Buying a 360 just for this game
  24. Really depends how mechanically inclined you are, a lot of things will be plain obvious (tyres, brakes, height), some won't (hidden rust, stuffed suspension components) etc etc, the list goes on: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyres/1EDB44D4-0729-457B-BC74-4AAD84A6F8EC/0/VSI26_1212_WEB.pd It all depends on your capability to go over the car thoroughly before making a decision on whether or not you'd like a RWC to be included. Keep in mind that many sellers do not have the time to get one done, so accept that, but also be wary of any shady sellers who may be trying to palm off the car without a RWC because the thing's rooted.
  25. I might've asked a while back, can't remember, but what paint are you using for the suspension components? What sort of durability are you expecting?
