  1. It will almost certainly be either your ground, 12v+ or +ACC line (and possibly illumination). Check all are wired correctly, I had a similar issue once with a mates car - turned out the ground was not earthed to the correct location and was blowing fuses.
  2. Pretty common issue, can't think of anywhere else it would leak from, apart from perished crankcase breather hoses. When I did my rocker gaskets, I also had to put a dab of sealant on the leftmost passenger side bolt nearest the sill as it is also tapped through the head (oil passage). When re-installing covers, torque in sequence and to 4NM - Don't over tighten! Don't forget red Permatex for the half-moon seals too! Refer here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/292400-rocker-cover-gasket-replacement/
  3. 2 more days until full license, finally get to drive my car! If my P's expire on the 24th, does that mean I can drive on the 24th, or wait until the 25th?
  4. R33 S2 Manual -Ported JJR Dump -High flow cat -Apexi N1 cat-back -Stock airbox No db numbers, but it's not too droney and sounds great on boost!
  5. In your DIY thread, the painted areas around the masking seem to have partially come off when you've removed the mask. Not a discredit to your method, I think it works great, but in this scenario I would paint the whole thing then sand it back to achieve a closer to 'factory' finish, if you could call it that
  6. His mates look derro as haha.. Serves the c*nt right though, you'd have to be brain dead to run from cops.
  7. Move that 4dr POS and show us more 121! jks.. Looks good, not usually a fan of 'Mexican' fitment on 32's, but those XD9's really pull it off. Engine specs sounds pretty good too, any plans to 25 it?
  8. Personally, I think the method of painting over the embossed section and then sanding/machining delivers a higher quality finish than masking, at least in this case. For larger surface areas, masking makes more sense.
  9. I read through this whole thread before watching the video in the OP - There's no way that car has only done 55,000km, regardless of how 'neglected' it was. I'd run in the opposite direction, unless it was sub 10k, then maybe.
  10. Love the strategy for this build, very clean and purposeful. Keep that Haltec in the glove box too!
  11. Haha gotta be a good feeling to hear it fire up! Looks like it went straight to a nice idle too - you must be stoked!
  12. Name and shame?
  13. ^Must be their time of the month?
  14. When selling a car/bike, I usually am happy to allow the new buyer to drive/ride the vehicle under my name, but I make them sign a waver stating that it must only be for the purpose of getting a RWC, and time/date it from the second they leave your house!
  15. Something like this would be perfect: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Ramps-/330955394821?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0e7a8f05&_uhb=1 Exxy, but if you're going to be using them a lot it's probably reasonable. Edit: Might have to modify them to sit at 160mm high.
  16. Also might be worth putting some Permatex Aviation No.3 on the threads before you snick it all back up, that stuff seals really well.
  17. Be careful with eBay jobs, I purchased one for a Pulsar, and while it bolted in fine, the water inlet and outlet hose diameter was completely different to stock! I'd also be wary of core flow with cheapies
  18. New setup looks less practical than the old one, well executed though. p.s. that's not a skateboard lol
  19. Could be leaking/corroded freeze plug too. Had one go out on me on an RB30, so it's a possibility.
  20. Great progress mate! Hoping the first engine start went well with no hiccups.
  21. How much boost were you running? Stock turbo? Would take some serious punishment to be 'lifting the head', although a blow gasket I can definitely see.
  22. Really starting to come together, and gearbox looks mint with the clear!
  23. For what car mate? Not sure if Nissan still produces OEM mats for the older R series. Could be wrong though.
  24. Haha the day my P's expire! So count me in!
