  1. Yeah was me that got the car nicked !!! Two words Stamore Macca's, all the kids without the money to buy a decent car will wonder off in the wee hours of the morning looking for decent hardworking folk to screw over, just because their jelous !! Bullet in the head is too good for 'em, too quick, knife wound to the gut, takes hours and hurts like f@#* Had pretty much the same gear stolen as well as the dipstick !?! First replacement item on order, Viper 791XV. First idea, wire ignition coils and alarm trigger together and attach to chassis Then it should be a shocking state of affairs to touch my car (sorry that was really bad
  2. OK got it back to my bro's place and have managed to have a better look. The front bar has been ripped off, bent bonnet, left hand indicator damage etc.. doesn't look like there is any damage to the sub frames but wont know for sure till I get it up on the ramps. As for waht is missing they has basically stole all the flashy bits, gauges, stereo, steering wheel and shift knob. Consolation is that I found the dude's sunnies in the back seat. Extremely bent out of shape and one of the nose pieces has been sheared off. Whatever his face hit it hit hard :-)
  3. Hey Guys, Just letting all know that the car has been found !!! Was recovered in an underground car park at balmain. Surprisingly enough it is only missing the front bumper, steering wheel and gear knob and aparently still runs !! what sort of condition the motor will be in is another story.. but at least it has been found.
  4. Cheers muchly for the support guys The car looks pretty much stock, so i guess these days that sort of distiguishing !?
  5. Yeah it's a pretty standard looking car. Hadn't got around to the body work or rims etc. yet which I guess is something !!! (waiting for the crappy dealer treads to vanish in a puff of blue smoke) yeah the car was alarmed but I don't know if it was a 3 pointer or not. I'm just waiting for the headlines "Nissan Skyline used in drive by... ban all high performance cars !!!!" Maybe I'll drop by stanmore macca's on sat
  6. Hey Guys, There is prolly nothing anybody can do about it but some pond scum ripped my car on tuesday night and it doesn't hurt to put th info out there. 1992 Silver R32 GTS (has an RB25DET coversion) Completely standard body, no kits or anything and the rear bumper has some damage (why they wanted my PoS I don't know, but then again at least I haven't put the money into the body yet, just the motor Rego Plate is: APU-56Z Was parked on Glebe Point Rd Glebe tues night bout 7 and was gone wednesday by 8:45am Anybody finds anything let me know. Cheers, Ralf Gendre 0421346451
  7. Hey Jaystar, I have also just picked up an R32 with an after market radio and had the exact same problem as you, no radio reception. After pulling the deck and checking it turned out that the previous installed had not connect the cores of the cars antenna cable to the core of the adapter plug. 10mins and solder iron fixed that problem. Just be careful as the core wires are really thin and can break real easy if your heavy handed. Hope that helps.
  8. OK figured it out. The blue wire with the silver markings is the acc wire in this car. Now the stereo actually turns on with the ignition !!
  9. Hi guys, I have searched and searched and cannot get any reliable info on the wiring for an r32 stereo. The car was originally a skyline r32 GT that has had the head unit replaced. The person who has do the install has bodged it with regards to power (they have also cut off the factory connectors which makes life a little more difficult). It seems as if the acc line has not been wired up as the unit does not turn on with the ignition, you have to manually turn it on and off and it will stay on with the ignition switched off. I have checked the wiring and the 12v constant and 12v acc are both wired to 2 yellow wires that has 12v constant on it. I have checked installdr and the colours that they have are different to the colours in the car. Can anybody tell me what colour the 12v acc is supposed to be, I have about four blue wires with silver stripes on them which I believe is supposed to be 12v acc. I will be checking with a multimeter tomorrow but any help will be appreciated. Cheers, Ralf p.s. sorry for the long first post
