This unit is the brains behind displaying all you need to know about fuel to air ratio tuning. If you have upgraded the boost on your turbo car, then you need this ! if you are running too lean you run the risk of burning out a piston - expensive ! - too rich and you lose performance and your fuel bill goes up. This device has a wide band o2 sensor that inserts into your exhaust (no special mounting needed, just in the end pipe) you plug in the device and it has on board memory for logging, or you plug it into your laptop and you have a host if information available - REAL TIME. The device has been fully tested and is ok from factory. Was bought complete, not as a DIY kit. See http://wbo2.com/2a0/default.htm for ALL the information. Comes with :- 2.6m cable Bosch 7200 Wideband o2 sensor serial cable for computer power cable Will post anywhere. $300 I'm not able to check the forums much, please email me : [email protected]

Due to my project being an everchanging beast, i've decided not to use the iebc and dfa on my mr2 turbo ... therefore am selling all 3, fully built, tested to be 100% working (can demo if required) $180 for all 3. This is basically what it would cost you to buy all 3 of them new, but these are fully built and ready to install ! Please e-mail me at [email protected] as i am not able to check this site as regularly as i would like to .... cheers

well, i finally finished the wb02 sensor kit today ... building :- Its slightly more in depth that the jaycar kits, there are a LOT more components, as you can see, and some of the solderwork needed is a little more fine ... a nice small soldering iron is a must ... having said this, its by no means a complex build, the documentation from the website is great, and its really just a case of checking you have everything in the correct place, then re-checking it before you solder it in place. a couple of notes, i did not use the plate that the 8 pin sensor plug came with, i just bolted it into the case, the used wires to connect to the main board ... seems like a slightly easier thing to work with ... RUN THROUGH THE CHECKLIST !! there is a huge document on things to test using the wbconfig software ... some of it is a little hard to understand at first, but its all just hex at teh end of the day. there is a neat little 'auto config' button that basically does the calibration for you, but its worth running through all the tests before you plug in your sensor. thats about it for now ... next i have to go off and buy a sensor mount thingy for the exhaust, and take it out for a spin and see what happens !

i think they have been looked at before and they are not fast enough, and only go down to 11.8 ... a pretty cheap option to try it out ...

well, the kit arrived on tuesday, didnt have a chance to open the packaging, but cracked it open this morning, and took some pics of the kit, as below. kit impressions : packaging is good components all laid out very well all resistors have their values marked on the piece of card attached to the end of the leg - this is great and greatly cuts down the chance of a mistake ! there seems to be all hardware required included very little documentation came with the package, but the website more than make up for the amount of information available.... now just have to build the thing !

with it plugged into the laptop, that'll give me all the display i need ... i already have a nice ultra portable laptop for logging that i have a car power adapter for ... the software they write for it looks to be fairly decent as well ...

got the te-wb2a0 4m cable 7057 connector lsu-7057 sensor and yeah, your right, it was a little more, $342 total inc shipping and gst ... not really thoguht a gerat deal about a clamp, will cross that bridge when i got to it ... by that time will have a welder so should be able to knock someting up fairly easily ... i like the fact that there is a yahoo group that seems to be very active .. lots of people seem to contribute ... the reason i chose the 2a0 was i only wanted the laptop connection for logging, on board logging is a fairly straight forward upgrade at a later date should i want it for anything else ... will kieep you updated on the build progress ...

well, i just went and bought myself a wbo2 kit, will take a while to get it all together, but basically its a wide band o2 sensor (bosch) all the electronic gizmos, and it plugs into your laptop for data logging .... also it has 2 or 4 inputs for more logging ... all up only cost about $300 will keep you updated with the build process cheers
-
ahh, yes, but thats all the way over in the sticks ... maybe will have to take a trip out there ....
-
sweet, got them both built, dug out some serial cables, and both iebc and dfa seem to work fine ... calibrated dfa no probs on a pc psu, will install this weekend and see how it goes ... anyone know of someone to tune them on a dyno with a decent o2 sensor ? cheers
-
both !!! i actally have sold my gtst due to the mrs not liking it, and it sucking major fuel ... am going for a slightly cheaper car for a couple of years while i save up for a 350z track or similar ... this is going onto an mr2 turbo ... i've had a couple of mr2's in the past, and always found them to be heaps of fun, and handle extremely well ... cheers
