  1. tried resetting the ecu and making it relearn all the stuff
  2. yeah, it'll be a similar thing to the 3 pod holder ... will sit a little further forward, and will incorporate a 7" lilliput screen using lilliput screen as they seem to be HIGHLY available in a lot of countries ... also, a standard 7" is only $150 initial design is getting there now ... cheers
  3. ok, the injectors arrived, and luckily i did not get stiffed for GST .. rar !! anyway, well packaged, each inj has been marked with a number, and that number references the service report that was included, out of the 6 inj they flow : report also shows in lbs/hr and has a nice little flow correction for psi chart. 553cc, 564cc, 564cc, 564cc, 569cc, 571cc this is a 96.8% balance hmm, i wonder which inj will be in #6 they also tell me the impedance load of each injector Injectors also came with a nice little 'how to fit' instruction sheet ... they are physically in good condition, with all new o-rings, and are physically clean looking I would deffo recommend this company to others http://www.deatschwerks.com/products.html they respond to emails quickly, and the whole thing has been hassle free ! now to fit them, and get the pfc tuned ... will post up results as and when i have them
  4. i'm in the process of building it in fibreglass at teh moment, this is a design phase tho to get the mould to make it out of plastic .. i'll be charging whatever it coss me in materials, and engineering work (as i dont own a vacume forming machine) + a small amount for the amount of time i put into the design and leg work ... rest assured, i wont be making a big profit ... thats not what this project is about
  5. do a search for r34 mfd in google, forget google images ... you'll see what i mean
  6. oh, dayne, i'm aiming for a silimar look to the r34 skyline gtr in dash tv ... google around, there is plenty of pics of them ...
  7. ok, will build up a 7" i only thought of 5" as it would not be as obtrusive on top of the dash ... once the mount is all done, i could change fairly easily to be a 5 or 7" the initial mould will be made of fibreglass, that will be then transposed into a plaster of paris type material, then plastic will be vacume formed over it ... will try and get as closer match as possible to the existing dash plastic, but obviously its not going to be identical ...
  8. i heard an amusing story about a lawer who spent 25 grand on cigars, smoked them all, then claimed insurance for 25 cases fire destroying his 25 grand, the insurance company could not get out of it and had to pay the 25g, but upon walking out of the court room 25G better off, the insurance company had the lawer arrested on 25 counts of arson ... hehe, stooopid lawer
  9. 5 " or 7" any preference ?
  10. hmm i'd be a little dubious about it being a gearbox bearing .... if you get the noise when you are neutral, foot off clutch then is SCREAMS release bearing .. maybe thats what your mechanic calls a front bearing tho ... personally i'd take it for a second opinion ... oh, and buying a 2nd hand g/box will be cheaper than a rebuild i think ...
  11. the VW golf also shares the same engines with a lof of the audis
  12. i have no choice but to mount up there, as both of the dins are taken up by head unit and dsp ... and no, i'm not going to relocate them .. and yes, the only way i will be be doing it is if its looks like its supposed to be there .. like the r34 gtr ish
  13. OK, so i'm starting a design process to mount a smallish tv on the top of the R33 dash, in a very similar style to the r34 gtr in dash tv ... at the moment i'm doing this as a one off for myself, using either a 5, 6 or 7" screen whichever is more available ... however, as i'll have to do all the design work, make a mould, and get all the vacume forming done, i might as well see if there is anyone else interested ... if so, then i can plan this ahead ... anyway, drop me a pm if you are interested ... cost wise, with a 7" tft i'd expect it to be around the 250 mark ish ... depends on how much the vacume forming costs ... cheers
  14. do these even fit a skyline ???? if not, well, its not even a nissan !
  15. I know this is not strictly force induction performance related, but i remember seeing someone had a GT badge on the back of their car a while ago .. S Similar to the GT Badge on the back of GTRs but with an S instead ... R anyone know where i can get one ? cheers
  16. no idea what the laws are, but i THOUGHT that ebcs bled back into the inlet tracts .... maybe not then ...
  17. why would an ebc be illigal ?? you are not venting to atmosphere at all with an ebc . .. i could understand them being illigal if it were an bleed valve ... anyone ?
  18. ahh, this one must be different then ... couldnt see ANY method of tighening the one i have ... will pull it all apart and replace the existing bolts with allen heads ... sorry if i put anyone off, i was in the wrong ... cheers
  19. sorry, i have NO idea on prices in australia for clutches, have yet to replace one in this country ... last clutch replaced was in the UK, the wifes GTi-R had one JUST before we bought it, previous owner had a receipt for 1000 UK pounds ... shocked .... yes ... should be a lot cheaper for the gtst tho ... no engine out job for it !
  20. hi, i dont mean to speak out of turn here, but i have one of these braces - well it looks physically exactly the same - and while i just cannot fault the manufacturing, i have to say that i'm not that impressed with the design ... once it is installed, you cannot adjust it to make it slightly tighter, you basically make it the right size to fit the shocks on either side, and place it over the bolts, or squeeze it over the bolts, replace the nuts, tighten them up, and that it ... no more adjustment ... just not a great desigm imho just my 2c
  21. theres a grand easily !!! might just be worth changing the fuel filter ... often overlooked, but can often be a cheap quick fix as well if the current one is full of cr@p
  22. yeah, might be ok on a 1.8l would get nice quick spool up, top end might suffer a little tho .. i'd sell em as a pair tho ...
  23. thats your clutch release bearing ... the noise indicates that it'll need replacing soonish ... depends on how bad the noise is really ... the release bearing its fairly cheap by itself, its just you have to remove the gearbox to get at it ... if you do replace it, its worth doing the clutch at the same time just because its all in the same place, and might as well take it off once .. how is the clutch operation otherwise ? cheers
  24. might be an idea for the admin to move this to group buys ? cheers
