  2. ahh, thats great, thanks also, do you have them on the shelf ready to go ??? from looking at it all, i can only see one thing missing .... a boost gauge ... this would finish it off perfectly .... even if it was a seperate module that had to plug into it is the ecu does not measure boost, being able to display all this stuff on one box is great ! cheers
  3. so what does the com port give access to ??? any more features than the ickle lcd can display ? what software do you run on the lappy to talk to the consult ? does this come included with the package ?? thanks
  4. Just to add my praise to Famous Car Insurance, Best quote I had WAS from Justcar, $1686 Living in south sydney, 27 yo, rating 1, s2 '96 gts-t they beat justcar and got the premium down to $1550 !!!! fantastic !!! During our conversation Robyn mentioned that their underwriters were in the channel islands, just off the UK coast. Being a pom myself, i know these islands, and a lot of the insurers in teh UK do the same thing. The reason is that they are a tax haven. Having no tax is quite a big incentive for companies to run operations from these islands ... i dont blame em personally ! cheers
  5. maybe skylines do have back seats, but i'd be pretty loathed to put a horrible dirty wheel on them .... still i guess you do what you must ...
  6. nice install, looking to do something similar myself ... a couple of worries tho .. does having 2 fairly large speaker magnets next to lots of pretty important electronics affect them at all ? no way to really tell i guess .. and with the space saver .. I used to have an MR2 turbo with 17" x 9" alloys on the rear (245 tyres) I managed to get a puncture on one of the rears, lucky me, and i didnt have the tool with me to get the centre cap off the alloy. Phoned mates dad who came out with a tool to get the centre cap off, changed the rear for the space saver, and well the 17" rear wheel would not fit anywhere in the car !!!! the rear boot too small, and NO chance in the front boot. ended up having to put the wheel in the back of my mates dads porsche !! has anyone tried putting a larger than normal alloy in their boot ?
  7. just too damn 1337 thanks very much !
  8. see as tho the car i am refering to is forced induction, i didnt think this was a bad place to post ... anyway, shall move it to somewhere else and see who else complains.
  9. I know, some of you will be saying 'euckkkk - a skyline with a roof rack' But has anyone tried fitting 2 pairs of ski's (192cm) into their skyline, and have a confortable drive from syd to threadbo !!!!!! question is this : has anyone had fitted, or seen etc a roof rack to an r33 s2 ? where to get them from, what models will fit etc ? and is it possible to get some fitted without having the roof drilled ? thanks
  10. Does anyone have an evc 4 pdf manual ???? or know where to get one ... i have an evc 4 sitting in a box, waiting to be fitted as soon as I move into my new abode, and get to unpack all the boxes .. and i'll be buggered if I can remember how to install it. had it in my mr2 turbo first, then pulsar gti-r, now the skyline ... rar also ,i have not taken delivery of the car yet ... i managed to get a grade 3.5 gtst s2, in solid red ... a rare colour as far as I can tell ... anyway, if anyone does have a manual, can you forward it to : [email protected] Thanks very much ...
