  1. i just installed 550cc injectors onto the std rail and notice they make louder clicking on tick over ... no idea why ..
  2. you all remember 2 fast 2 furious ... remember at the start of the film, he pulls up in the r34, shooting flames out the back, and from the side of the front bar vents white vapour ... its co2 co2 is EXECLLENT at major cooling down, very quickly ... if you take a fire co2 extinguisher and open it onto a 4 pack of beer, it'll chill it down a LOT ... imagine spraying co2 onto the intercooler fins ... it will cause the IC to cool down a LOT ... but to do it, you'll be using a lot of co2, and co2 is not really very cheap ... you also have the danger of carring around a high pressure canister of gas ... just my 2c
  3. rb30 should able to be done at a lot lower cost than rb26 ... as you say 6k+ for rb26 or $+/- 500 for rb30e use the rb25 head you have, then all your support mods, fuel pump, injectors, ecu etc etc, prolly do the lot for under 3k ... not talking from expenience, just from all the reading / research I have done ... cheers
  4. i also had a thread somwehere about how to change to a walbro pump .... prolly very similar to the post above tho ...
  5. hi, mitre 10 sell fibreglass sheets and resin tins - pay about 20-30 $ for the resin + catalyst, and about 20 for a sheet of fibreglass ... get yourself a cheap paintbrush at the same time to spread the resin around .. cheers
  6. i thought that rx7's were side feed and the rb20 was top feed ... if so, then you'd be better off with some gtr units, if it is sidefeed you are after, then you could do worse than to get some 550cc's from www.deatschwerks.com - yes you have to wait a week to come from the states, but i am more than happy with mine .. OR i can sell you some 370cc sidefeeds ... cheers
  7. not yet, its one of the phase 2 mods .... will be after handling and stopping mods
  8. Iwells - absolutly ... i have not seen more then 55% duty yet, and that was pushing it HARD in 3rd to redline .... Trust - yeah, will get around to some track days .... not REALLY bothered about drag times, just bothered about having LOTS of fun with it ... before a track tho i need to sort of better breaks and harden up the front suspension .... prolly new sway bars as well as bushes ... never stops does it ...
  9. is this the SS or the RR version, if its the RR - VERY interested ... please PM me asap
  10. i am currently making 240kw of power with just the walbro pump .. i retain a steady 11:1 a/f ratio and the pump is holding up without dramas ...
  11. get your fuel system upto spec (injectors / pump) high flow exhaust, cams, aftermarket ecu a damn good tune ... thats about $3k easily ... then you think about traction and handling, suspension, breaks, tyres, new bushes, control arms, sway bars, strut braces ... the list really does go on
  12. When i had my MR2 tubby in the UK, i was a member of the IMOC (international MR2 owners club) anyway, we had little business cards with the web address etc on it, if i saw a parked mr2 i did not recognise, dropped one of the cards under the windscreen wiper ... an easy way to get more people on the website ... and to be honest, the more people we have on the forums the better imho .. do we have them ? would somelike like to get some printed up ? or at leasted designed ? cheers
  13. me too - MORE than happy with it, not too loud at all, but seems pretty high flowing ..
  14. didnt get a dyno pre tune, to be honest, not really bothered about pre tune power, just that it gives me a HUGE grin now !! ) the dyno used is aparently a very conservative dyno, its used for race and drag cars so i guess it has to be pretty much on the mark ... but hey, i'm happy, thats all that counts !
  15. at the end of the day, an intercooler is an intercooler .. its going to be like a million % better than the std i/c regardless of it being trust, hks, gtr etc etc i had a hks one, got a hole in it tho, and swapped to a hybrid copy and notice zero difference ..
  16. slightly worrying as to where the missing bit of wheel is !!!
  17. why are yo ubeing so negative bigcarl ?
  18. my hi flow from gcg was a little under 2k, 1950 i think
  19. there are plenty of cars that these are an upgrade for. Thanks for the positive words.
  20. you dont need the datalogit to tune the pfc, it can be done with teh handcontroller without any issues, datalogit makes it easier to read and a has a few little extras the h/c does not - these are not really needed for a full on tune tho ... looking at your sig, you have yet to upgrade injectors ??? with the rest of those mods, i'd make it the next mod over a pfc, dont want to run too lean now ! personally i had my pfc sat on my desk at some for a number of months before i was ready for a tune - needed to get all the mods i wanted done before the pfc was tuned .. thats just imho anyway
  21. yes you have to remove the dump pipe to get access to the exhaust turbine .. there are too many variables to say yes its a high flow or low flow ... the only realy way to test is to look at the turbine ... but if you are minus a tag on the turbo, chances are its a stocker... cheers
  22. it hard to tell as i had the injectors done at the same time as the tune - yes the car feels VERY different, but thats prolly 90% due to the tune ... didnt bother installing the fpr in the end, after talking with dave, it seemed that it was not really worth doing for hte kind of power levels i was after .... now its up for sale with the custom made elbow that replaces the existing fpr ... cheers
  23. 240 rwkw 96 s2 r33 gtst www.host32.com/line/240kw.jpg www.host32.com/line/240kwdata.jpg power fc gcg highflow turbo @ 13psi walbro pump fmic 550cc injectors hks pod in ca partition 3" turbo back (standard cat) mobil premium pump fuel
