  1. check the thermostat - remove it and drop it into boiling water, you should see it open, or just move ...
  2. um .. no, thanks anyway
  3. there are HEAPS of pics in the CAI thread - pm me if you want me to mail mine over
  4. bhdave - the results do not lie ... the 240kwdata sheet you can see all the data there .. i dont know what dave did, but he did it 100% right !
  5. zoom : standard GCG prices, i think it was just under $2k jay : yep, VERY pleased with the results, and more than happy i dont have to run high boost to get the power ! williamsf1 : i think it was $66 per hour (if my memory serves me) for mechanical labour, then $110 /hr for dyno tune ... 3 - 4 hours i think for a pfc tune .. GTR would be a lot easier to change injectors on as the gtst you have to remove the top half of the plenum ... not fun work ... you'd have to give him a call to see how much he knows about gtrs but i'd be VERY surprised if he didnt know everything there is to know about them ... croat : yep, very happy, i basically went overkill with the fuel system in a paranoid kind of way, but am more than happy with the results ... and unfortunalty my mother unit arrives from the UK this week, so going to have to spend some time with her, not seen her for 18 months .. anyway, the good results are all down to the tuner knowing his stuff inside out ..
  6. i did the hks one on mine using over the top piping, but the intercooler mounting is essentially the same .... cut the lug off using a grinder, take it RIGHT back so its flush use a longer bolt ... i actually just made up my own mount out of some 3mm aluminium
  7. ok ok - $200 inc shipping
  8. not 100% sure about for r32 - if it has the same fuel rail then the elbow thing will work, if not, then you just use the malpassi as you would with any other application of it ...
  9. www.deatschwerks.com for cheap 550cc injectors i bought some from them, and they fitted up 100% no probs .. 240rwkw sees them running NO more than 50% duty
  10. my advice - buy a blown turbo from an r33 then take it to get hi flowed, they dont actually high flow YOUR turbo, then have high flowed units sitting on the whelf ready to go, and you buy one of them ... then sell your working turbo on these forums, or ebay, whatever, and get some of the $ back doing it this way saved me about 400 all up over the usual price just my 2c
  11. 45v4 is DEFFO from a series 2 r33 gtst and is (aparently) the most up to date turbo available on the r33's or so i'm told .. be careful about running 18 psi - even if it is just for the drag, a number of people have lost their exhaust wheels into the cat just turning it up a little for the one off drag ... you dont need LOTS of boost of decent power anyway, i'm only running 13psi and get 240rwkw
  12. if its a gcg hi flow they put a little tag on it to say when it was built, and who it was built by (gcg) you can always check the exh wheel as well, if its a high flow, its fairly large, and is steel ... the ceramic one of the std tubby feels plasticy and light ... cheers
  13. ooo errr mrs
  14. i have a gcg high flow and can say nothing bad about it at all ..it comes on boost at 3000 rpm, at 13 psi, and holds 13 psi all the way to redline ... what more could you want ... 13 psi gives me 240kw on rb25det, just with exhaust, fmic and fuel system ... cheers
  15. ok, as promised, here are the dyno graphs ... as you can see, its a nice curve ... the 2nd pic is a readout of raw data that generates this graph ... 240kw 240kw data
  16. ! thats all i have to say about that
  17. sounds expensive to me .... shop around is my advice
  18. ahh, i see your car everytime i go upto brisvegas - i think ... parked opposite taringa gardens apartments ... nice looking motor ...
  19. thre was some1 selling some of these on ebay a while ago .. it just frightens me a little doing that to a standard plenum, designed right, it could be good tho
  20. I have a standard malpassi 1:1 fuel pressure regulator for sale, never used, includes an elbow joint that replaces the standard pressure regulator that was custom made from aliminium and brass sell both for $200 - no i wont split them ... cheers
  21. Due to the upgrade, i now have 6 370cc standard rb25 injectors up for sale, done 60k and still working perfectly well, just dont flow enough for me ! $250 including shipping to anywhere in AU
  22. picked up the car this morning... with the new injectors, its a little more lumpy on idle, but is nothing to worry about .. drove it around a bit to warm it up, 20 mins of driving and i opened it up, pulled out from some lights, light throttle, into 2nd, about 2300rpm and 30kmh, booted it, and was FIRMLY pushed into the seat right upto the redline ... needless to say there was a HUGE grin on my face .. it revs a lot more freely, builds boost quicker, better response at light loads .. my issue now is traction .. the rears will light up in 2nd about 4500rpm booting it boost comes on at 3000rpm to 12.9psi and stays at 13psi until 7000rpm will post the dyno graph tonight, but the power curve is VERY good, a nice diagnal line upto 240.3 kw with very few bumps in it .. Dave (the tuner) has done an EXCELLENT job with the car, and would heartily recommend him to anyone thinking of getting a pfc tune ... its a totally new car, and gives me a grin all over again ! well worth the mods .. cheers
  23. dynos up tomorrow evening when i get access to a scanner and am back at home standard gcg hi flow 450hp turbo - steel wheel, plus whatever else they do, looks like bigger exh wheel
  24. yep, as per results on the other thread - 240 rwkw not to be sniffed at !
  25. dyno sheets will be posted tomorrow when i get the car back - and mmmgtir - yep, was indeed Dave ... a good man ..
