  1. Stock pump, no restrictors fitted that I'm aware of other than oil feed for the turbo, and running hpr10 through it. Light blue

As title states I've finished an rb25 conversion into my 32 rebuilt with cp forgies about 5k ago when I bought it, oil is visible ontop of cyl 4 and blows smoke under throttle so I pulled the head off had it flow and leak tested to show worn valve stems seals and guides, wasn't financially able to pull the bottom end apart at the time Running catch can, cut and shut forward plenum 1200cc inj 3076r Whilst the head was off we checked for cracks in the block, wear marks on the bore and movement in the pistons and all was mint Just had a brand new hg and reco neo 25 head dropped on, so can't be valves/seals Compression tested and pulled 174-180 across all 6 with the leaky cylinder sitting at 175 Turbo was fresh rebuilt by gcg and currently done about 0.1km's no sign of oil burning anywhere, none in the cooler piping I couldn't see it being a bad oil ring/good compression ring because of the rebuild and cp aren't that bad of a company, but at the same time I could be wrong Possibilities of it being a pinched ring from not being set right during the build ? There is oil in the plenum but not a crapload The only other thing I know about is there's a small piece missing from the pcv o ring but it still seals and doesn't seem to leak it's getting tuned in a few weeks regardless of it's shitty issue cause 6 months in a mates shed is becoming too much Will be ripping it down again after that, just seeing if anyone can shed some light

Parting my rb20det out due to bending a bunch of valves and upgrading to a 2.5l Bottom end/pistons are all fine, has everything there except power steering pump and timing belt and starter 150$ Top end minus cams/gears and a few exhaust studs, all exhaust valves bent 4 or so on intake side-offers ? Hks intake/exhaust 256 cams+ can gears, unsure of lift but they were pretty lumpy-mint cond no idea what there worth RB20det/s1RB25det splitfire coilpacks 275$ or swap for s2 25det splitfires a full seat of 444cc gtr injectors bolted to rb20det stock fuel rail Garret gt2860rs eff all shaft play can come with or without stock rb20 mani, immac condition again offers All parts located newcastle/central coast Will upload photos tomorrow arvo when I've got some time Pm or contact on 0406856323 Cheers, Matty
  15. But in saying that, for what it's going to cost to rebuild it myself + retune I could have it rb25 It's now a matter of finding a decent one at a decent price
  16. Only very lightly, basically just scratched the carbon build up of the top, this all happened at idle around 950-1krpm. I don't think it was cranking long enough to cause the pistons actual damage as soon as it died I didn't bother turning the key again
  17. Haha the whole thing is just pure luck, cams are fine and pistons are fine. Just lifters/valves that ate it

  19. I don't think so, still had good pressure before in carked it. And there was oil throughout the cams. The whole motor/box is coming out anyway fora thorough inspection before I put it back or buy anything. RB power- I'm a nsw kid, and my mates got a head in his shed ready if I need it. Appreciate the offer though champ
  20. ^ were finding solutions lol I'm thankful this all happened at idle not full boost my hks cams came out completely unscaved, we also thought the lifters may have seized and caused said chaos aswell. Ill know some more when I actually get the valve tool and pull the rest of it apart I guess
  21. And if the timing belt went first it should only have bent the open valves on both sides before it stalled. I just can't wrap my head around how all exhaust valves were open. Unless each valve bent 2 by 2 until it locked up and stripped the belt
  22. None a broken just bent. I counted atleast 17 12 on exhaust and the few on intake. It's a pain to diagnose because it would have to have bent ever single valve in a very short time before it stalled
