  1. That's all it is stripped teeth, but for what ever reason the top end stopped, every valve on exhaust side stayed open
  2. It wasn't in my name when it was done so it's just really unlucky on my part I guess
  3. This is true, it was done just before I bought the car, all up was about 18thou kms done. Bottom ends getting checked tonight, a mates got a reco head ready if I decide to go that way. Mine also had titanium valve springs I'm assuming they'll still be sweet
  4. Being a fairly new gates belt i couldn't see it as a problem. They way it looks is the top end locked up first while the crank kept spinning and tore the belt up
  5. As the title states, pulled up at a set of lights a few days ago and she popped backfired and died. The crank kept spinning and ripped the timing belt to pieces, pulled the head off and every exhaust valve is bent and stuck open and a few on the intake side slightly bent, does anyone have a clue what would cause this. Will be getting a valve tool and pulling them out over the weekend. I just can't understand why, on the brighter side the pistons still seem pretty good with only light scraping in the grooves.

  7. As title states, after an RB20det ignition/igniter whatever you wanna call it, as mine has crapped it's pants. Preferably newcastle/central coast but ill pay postage from anywhere else. Cheers guys
  8. Picked up my mates set of coilpacks tonight. And grabbing his injectors tomorrow. It's slowly building up

  11. It's alright I expected a bit more. Gtr injectors, disco potato, 265 cams, pfc, z32 maf Beats the clubby r8's which made me quite happy

  15. I know it's sitting in the shed as we speak. Only driving it as I test parts. As bad as it is I don't have much choice
  16. Stock coils wouldn't hold up past 4.5k during the tune so Jez dropped in a set of his splitfires to do it. Bought a set put them in, ran sweet for a couple weeks. It's popping on boost at 4k+ sometimes misses just as it comes on Sometimes on startup it runs on 5cyl struggles to rev and spool Put the boot down as it coughs to limiter and it clears up. Only does it about 10mibs after running temp. Plugs are less than 40km old bcpr7es-same as what Jez used. I'm assuming its fuel or ignition
  17. Ill get onto that It's no rush though, do it slow do it right. I'm picking up my mates set of splitfires tonight. Mine are about a month old but that doesn't mean I can cross them out.
  18. Yeah Jez did my tune few months back, good bloke, car came out great. Until now. Can't really do much over the top cash being tight these days it'll get there hopefully it's running mint by the cruise so I can tag along
  19. It's all I've been doing, there's just so many pieces to the puzzle. All I need is a spare igniter and fuel pump. All that's left to test

  21. hey ladies and gents, been scouring SAU trying to find a solution to what has now been dubbed the "crapper's" misfiring issue, so I thought id introduce myself while im here. names Matty, live pretty much in the middle of newi/central coast. picked up an R32 gtst a few months ago, fair few mods ongoing work in progress. When it actually works ill look forward to joining in a few cruises and such. and there it is.
