Well done on the results on such little boost paul, should make big power when you turn it up and tune on better fuel. Interesting results you got from that plug change, what were the 2 different plugs?

how much vaccum at idleand how much vaccum at cruising at say 100kmh?

can anyone confirm that the v44 plugin will run low impedence injectors without using a resistor pack? I have heard they from different people that they will but have also read you need a resistor pack. Anyone done this yet?

GcG turbos told me the TO4z would be around 800rpm lagier than my current GT35 set up, they said they have sold a fair number of them so i would guess they know what there on about.

Im keen to come have a look, interested in getting my car into this sort of thing, goes well through the hills but would imagine it would need a few tweaks to get the power down around a track and run a decent time. Im interested to see a few of the set-ups other higher powered GTRs run. A few questions:- Is Anyone alowed in the pits? Does the day still go ahead if its a hot day? What time it start, and how much $ to spectate? Cheers Andrew

I have GT35 with .82 exhuast on my R32 GTS4, ran 6.8 seconds @ 170kmh on the 1/8th mile, which is 10.4-10.5 sec 1/4 mile, Im pretty close to maxing out the .82 exh at 20psi- 397rwkw , with a 1.06 housing and 66mm comp wheel could probably run low 10 sec, but dont think you could go a 9, GTR is too heavy. Pretty sure ive seen lancers with gt35r run in the 9 sec. Also the GT35 is definately not a laggier turbo than the T04z, mine makes full 20psi boost at 3200RPM (RB30/26).

Mine is, RB30/26 built myself CP pistons Spool Rods RB26 sump/front 4wd diff adapted to the block RB26 head Stock plenum GT35r Custom exhaust manifold, made by myself Microtech lt12, Tuned myself Makes 397rwkw on 20psi, cams are set-up for more midrange/ less top end power, Full boost (20-22psi) at 3200 RPM, rev limit at 7500rpm.

Hey Darren, My car does gets moving once it gets traction, i need some better tyres, was just running my daily $150 17"tyres, couldnt get the best start Yeah i remember a few years back in my VL turbo ran 12.6 @175kmh at AIR 1/4mile, i thought it was fast to get 170kmh in 400m, now im doing 170kmh in 200m.

about 10.4-10.5 sec 1/4mile @ about 134MPH. I took it on a trailer, i smashed a gearbox a couple of weeks ago, so didnt want to get stuck there.....

Raced today at Whyalla, ran 6.8 sec @ 170KM/H don the 1/8 mile., Got told by the ANDRA official i need a cage if i want to race there again.... The only other turbo car at the meet today was a new VW turbo

Yeah checked that one, The IW housing i had on my turbo was already larger than the manifold.

also changed from 600x300x 76 thick cooler to a 100mm thick version and it made the exact same power....

I took the big lumps out the head exh ports, and exh manifold, didnt bother with the inlet manifold as it was pretty good match, what did you do?

Be interesting to see how you go joel, are you still using the stock plenum? I couldnt get mine past 312kw with the stock manifolds, it would make peak power at 5800 then drop off real bad.

Hey ash, A few GTRs have run 10.8-10.9 sec 1/4 have 7.1 sec 1/8mile time, so yeah good for a high 10, hope to go a bit better with a bit more power than last time.

Its 1/8mile, track has been there for 10-15 years i think., has had a big upgrade last year, i think eventually they want to make it into 1/4 mile.
