As some people know i am working on dropping the RB30det i had in the Black R32 gts-t into a R32 gts4 with 4WD. The motor is just about ready to drop in, Just thought i'd share a few pics of the exhaust manifold i built to low mount my GT3540.

Nice result, what turbo? As joel said, very similar power curve/spool to my RB30 GT35.

I bought a R32 with an alarm already in the car, and have fitted my turbo timer from my old R32. Now when i turn the car ofat the key (still running with turbo timer on), get out and lock the arm the alarm/lock doors, the alarm wont arm as the car is still running via the turbo timer. Anyone know how to wire it so it all works sweet? My old R32 had an alarm with the same timer im using now, but the guy who installed it had it working so it would arm the alarm even if the car was running via turbo timer, so it can be done, but im not sure how. Anyone?

yes , i ble 5 boxes in my rb30, but some of them were not too good when they went in the car, plus the big torque coming on so fast down low in the revs put alot of strain on them.

as black32 said, go buy a cheap socket thats just to small to fit on lock nut, then smash it on with a hammer.

The spiking boost you previously had with the old setup would have given a lot more midrange compared to a constant lower boost level.

Darren:- Regency are familiar with the damage to the chasis rails on imports, both 2 times ive gone through they have seen the damage and said its common to most imports, didnt say i needed to fix it at all. 2 of my mates have been told the exact same thing when they took their cars to regency.

what rpm do the 2860 make full boost on a RB26??

you can get sent to regency for anything, the cop just has to tick the VIS box on the defect form, very unfair.

I need a R32 GTR or GTS4 oils pickup pipe that bolts to the block and picks-up oil inside the sump. i think R33/R34 could be the same but not 100% sure. Cheers

I had the stock x-member with a bracket on each side extending it bacwards, painted black they dont stand out. I would definately change ecu back to stock, just that the gearbox is a bit of a job to change, then you gota change it all back.

Darren:- I went through regency twice with my RB25 gearbox etc, they never said anything about it. If it were me id leave that and the diff, alot of work to change it all if you dont need to.

Id also like to know where to get shims other than genuine nissan??

so is it true you cant do a standstill burnout with ABS functioning?

I ran up to 20 psi through my stock R32 BOV, but as cubes has mentioned, i also had the bleed blocked up with a grubscrew.

that turbo is internaly gated, whats with the external gate in the pics?

I have used redline lightweight shockproof oil in 2 of my gearboxes that had crunching syncros, after putting in the redline, the crunching was gone. Really is amazing oil, i cant recommend it enough.
