    What is the power limit of Stock GTR gearbox/ gears?

    I would guess its the turbo still spinning, if its ball bearing they take up to a few minutes to stop turning. When i shut down my car, this noise is very noticable.

    Joel, What RPM is 60kmh in 4th? What boost are you and Darren making there?

    Yeah i would agree chris, it was pretty muggy in the workshop compared to outside, my car was also slightly down on power to what it usually runs.

    Yes 12.9, and yes 117mph.

    Yes had a POD filter. Injectors, pump and clutch were all stock , AFR were statring to get lean at around 12.2:1 so the injectors were at the limit. Yes it made 190rwkw, and yes it Ran a few 12.9 seconds passes. Why is that so hard to beleive???

    The dyno graph should show large dips if the car is wheelspinning bad during a run. It is also easly seen and heard, but realy dont care if your car was or wasnt wheelspinnig on the dyno, or what power it made(all cars were run on the same dyno, the same day, by the same opperator). Baggin out shaun on the Net aint a good thing to do.

    My r32 had the following mods- Intercooler, hi-flow turbo, 3"exhaust, and Microtech. Made 190rwkw and ran 12.9@ 117mph. So the RB20 can perform alright with limited mods.

    Was a good turnout, alot of nice cars. Whats the deal with that dude with the bluebird wagon claiming his car was wheelspinning, and bagging shauns dyno opperating...?? check his web site at this link www.srt910.com

    Only Nissan sells the oil pump gasket, go to a nissan parts service.

    Would like to get hold of any Bathurst or touring car video/DVD, when Skylines were still racing. Id also love to watch the Bathurst when R32 GTR won. Anyone got footage that i could get a copy of, or anyone know where i can purchase?? Cheers

    joel- 20rwkw is a nice gain.

    Joel- I understand you mean some heads have their valve seats recessed further into the head, But by using a longer spring it will do the same job( if not better) than using shims under the stock springs.

    Joel- Upgrading the valvesprings does give more seat pressure, it totally fixed my valve float problems. If Darren is only running 16psi, it may not be enough pressure to cause float, mine only occured when running over 18-19psi.

    Valve springs have been upgraded, so there in no valve float.

    Yeah, tried removing the airfilter, gained only 3rwkw. Archie- How much power is your mates RB30det making, and what size differences were there between the 2 air filters he tried?

    Ok, as i said adding bigger cams made No difference to peak power. I suspect the stock exhaust manifold to be robbing some power. Anyone had before and after results of going from a thin to a thicker intercooler core??

    Turbo is GT35/40 with the .7 comp, .82 exhaust.

    Stocky- Have played with cam gears, made some midrange difference but didnt effect top end much at all, still dropping power at 58000rpm. What settings did you find work best??
