  1. anyone know when 57mm thick intercooler cores become real restrictive?
  2. The exhaust is straight through, no cat, doesnt make more power when i dropped it off on the dyno. There is no detonation.
  3. My current RB30det setup is making 312rwkw on 20psi, problem is power peaks at 5800rpm, then drops off fast. I tried adding a set of Tomei 260deg cams, this did nothing to the peak power figgure and it still drops off at 5800rpm. Specs are:- RB30det with GT35/40, 600x300x57mm IC, 3" exhaust, 260deg cams,stock plenum, stock exhaust manifold, big feul pump+ injectors, microtech. I can only suspect there is a major airflow restriction, which i think could be 1.intercooler not thick enough (using 57mm thick core) 2. Stock exhaust manifold 3. stock plenum If any one has had a similar problem and found the cure, advice would be great. Cheers

  8. Does anyone know of any R34 gt-t for sale in S.A?? My m ate is after 1 at the moment, but hasn't had any luck finding one.

I had a lot of trouble with oil getting pushed out the breathers at high RPM( same as dave), It turned out to be sump was slightly overfull(only a few hundred ml), every time it would spit oil out i would re-fill what was pushed out, so it would just keep spitting the same amount of oil out. I tried not adding anymore oil after it had spat some out and this fixed the problem. The oil level is now just under the "H" on the dipstick, if i fill it slightly higher than this it will push the oil out again. I suspect its to do with windage from the crank at high rpm and if you have the oil level too close to the crank it will splash oil around which gets pushed up the breather with all the crankcase pressure. Give it a try Dave.

  13. I got defected yesterday in my R32, driving along doing NOTHING, bike cop pulled me over and defected me for too loud, and too low. The cop was nothing but an arogant w*nker on a power trip...... I dont see why they should defect a car when it is driving normally, fair enough id expect a defect if i was doing something stupid, but this is just bull s**t.!

  15. I have seen up to 80 psi on the fuel gauge under full load/boost, and have not had any problems with fuel leaks in nearly 3 years and 50,000km while my car has ran high pressure. I dont see the point in him upgrading his injectors if he can acheive the power he wants with the stock ones, he has said in post `1' he would rather not upgrade due to lack of $$$.

  17. A malpassi regulator ( or similar) makes a huge difference. With my stock regulator the injexctors did max out at just over 200rwkw, with the malpassi regulator, they made 240rwkw at around 85-90% duty. Also as joel mentioned, i ran a single power feed off the alternator to the pump, so there isn't so much voltage drop. This also helps.
  18. As Darren said, i used the stock RB20 injectors untill i needed to upgrade. If your target is 250rwkw, i would stick with the stock injectors and spend your money on something else.
  19. lunaticR32:- Motor is RB30det, had a Hi-flow turbo making 240rwkw with the stock injectors at 85% duty. ECU is a microtech. What engine you running?
  20. My Extreme single plate has lasted near on 3 years, still hasn't let me down, and it only cost around $650.
  21. I had my stock RB20 injectors with a Malpasi regulator running 240rwkw at about 85% duty. I have heard of cars making 260rwkw with the stock injectors maxed out with a regulator. Id say give it a go, you will be surprised.
  22. shonen:- Im not a real expert but i think it has more to do with the cushion centre the 9 puck has which makes less shudder. The less pucks the better grip the driven plate will have. Did you get a price on the Exeddy single plate?
