My C33 Laurel Build - Two Tone Goodness
Ronald McDonald posted a topic in Four door and wagon builds
Hi guys this is my first proper build thread on the forums and will continue to be for the coming months. I'm Tom from NZ and I picked up my very first C33 Laurel late last year. It was from a friend of mine who had bought it as a daily and then managed to crash into a parked car. Anyway I bought it from him dirt cheap as he couldn't be bothered fixing it. Will post up pictures and more info later -
sounds good man, are the digital units hard to come by?

Looking good bro. I'm after a digital air con unit for my C33 atm, have the remote control did you get the unit from an S13?

Eoi: A31/c33 Parts
Ronald McDonald replied to Ronald McDonald's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Not to much interest but im happy to look for parts for people and send quotes etc. -
So after being on here for a while Iv gathered that a31s and especially c33s are quite rare in aus and people seem to just get their parts from japan. Since we have so many over here in NZ I wanted to know who would be interested in me sourcing some parts locally and shipping them over? Just a thought at this stage as reading through the threads you guys pay premium prices for these parts! Comment or PM if you are interested

Car Won't Start, Rb20E
Ronald McDonald replied to Ronald McDonald's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Starter/alternator are wired up correctly. Yes 20e is temporary until I buy my mates 20det in a few months. Search online a bit the buzzing has happened to others but mostly other cars such as subbies -
Right I know this belongs in the 4 door section but it will get much more notice here. My 1990 C33 laurel has just had an engine swap, it's an rb20e automatic. Everything is wired up correctly and the car still won't start, no noises at all. After bridging the inhibitor switch the starter tries to engage or makes a clink noise but nothing after that. When the car is in the ON position there is a buzzing coming from what seems to be the auto box. As you open the throttle it gets weaker and goes away. I have jacked the rear up and checked to see if the car thinks it's in gear but the driveshaft doesn't move. Any ideas on what it might be?

Im converting my c33 rb20e to an Rb20det from an R32 GTST. I will be using the R32 engine loom/ECU. Do I just connect the loom and install the ecu and it will start? Or do i have to modify the dash loom as well
-
Okay so after looking over and over I cannot seem to find a turbo exhaust for my c33 laurel. I plan to drop a 20det in very soon. There is no direct replacement on the parts thread so I was wondering what people have done. IV heard r32 down pipes will fit and a slightly modified r33 catback but haven't heard anything else. Any help would be appreciated

My bet is the igniter pack the small box at the back of the coil cover. Mine did the same but more or less on boost

Nissan Crew - Another 4 Door Rb
Ronald McDonald replied to Ronald McDonald's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It's only slightly shorter than the A31/C33 which are 2670mm and the Crew is 2664mm -
Just thought id share this with the rest of the 4-door community as one came up for sale the other day, I had no prior knowledge of its existance! Its called the Nissan Crew and was used in Japan primarily as taxis to compete with Toyotas Comfort. It houses either an RB20e or RD28 Diesel, so both gutless as hell haha. Heres some pictures, anyone seen any in aus? theres a few popping up here in NZ.

Cool/rare Shit For Sale On Yahoo
Ronald McDonald replied to Nic_A31's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Dude, that key ring/ key is sick! Any idea on how I could get one to NZ? -
I just use the r32 engine manual. Everything is roughly similar and is better than nothing

I am about to do a manual conversion on my C33 and I've been told a B stamp aswell

I was under the impression that S13/180sx/200sx factory suspension bolts directly up to C33 Laurels? My old cef had them in it so I thought id do the same with they Laurey however the ones I have purchased are different. The rears are much longer and the top bolts are much bigger than the C33s. Whats gone wrong here? They were from a 200sx (180) Note the longer struts are from the Silvia
-
Alright so this idea might not go down well with all you RB lovers but I had a question that has been bothering me. I've seen sr20s be dropped into c33s for better weight distribution blah blah etc and wanted to know if it is a direct bolt in? My theory was that since they came factory with the CA18 and so did Silvia's does that mean an SR will bolt straight up to the factory mounts? Or will it require custom mounts. I know that an RB will bolt directly into an RD (diesel) body so why not an sr?

I'm pretty sure the GTS4s gave different suspension set ups to the GTST, however I'm positive they are compatible with GTR components. It also shouldn't matter about wheth its 4 door or not I put gtst coupe springs in my gtst sedan. Also I found a great website with heaps of info on r32 build dates etc http://www.gtrusablog.com/2013/03/nissan-skyline-r32-serial-or-chassis.html If you need any more help feel free to ask, here in NZ we got every single model of r32, even the GXi 1.8l ones and we have a shit ton of 4 doors

Its the badge, gold was a factory option so rare(ish) i guess. Metal one too, not plastic
-
After a gold GTS-T badge for my R32. Currently has a gold GTS-4 badge on it but is in fact a factory HCR32. Also have a plastic GTS-T silver badge I can trade for a gold one + cash. Cheers
-
Hey bro, I have a genuine gold GTS-4 badge from my 1993 32 GTS-T. Was badged wrong when it came into the country so took it off, on the hunt for a gold GTS-T badge. If you are interested in buying it PM me
