  1. Did you manage to get around to installing them?
  2. I did my headlights a few years back: https://www.gtr.co.uk/threads/r32-projector-hid-mod.172066/page-3 They are still going strong, but the chrome reflector has started to oxidise (yellowish) and now I just want to paint them back. I don't really want to be opening the headlights every few years to clean/rechrome etc. The 78Works headlights caught my eye, modernise the looks of the car a lot, but would be great if someone posted a review on them.
  3. There is a site from Japan that does them 78works. I posted on a different forum: https://www.gtr.co.uk/threads/r32-78works-headlights.572313/#post-5810687 I'm interested in buying them but can't find any user reviews.
  4. It's using a cosworth reluctor type pickup (magnetic) one tooth. 36-1 wheel on the crank, also with a reluctor type. Works fine with the link g4.
  5. Ended up ditching the haltech and going for a g4+ instead which now works perfect with the trigger kit 36-1.
  6. After double checking and emailing haltech AUS, they say that i need a 12 tooth with no gap. We've machined the 36-1 to leave 12 equal teeth, installed it on the car. But still getting no pickup after selecting 24 and 1 multitooth.. Any suggestions?
  7. I just called haltech USA. They said i need a 24 tooth wheel for crank with no gap and one pickup for cam. Said they didn't want the ECU to be like any other universal one.... Great
  8. Damn wtf. Was under the impression that they are similar to a link g4. So i need a 12 tooth wheel for the crank? Tuner wanted me to order a 24 tooth...
  9. Haltech platinum pro and a 36-1 crank trigger Hi, A bit urgent but i have a platinum pro ECU and a 36-1 crank trigger wheel with one pickup on the cam. Will this work? Tuner said it doesn't work. Would call haltech but offices are closed and i need a response asap. It's a bnr32. Thanks
  10. Hi All, Apologies as I don't often post here but this forum is easily the best when it comes to working on your own rb26. Anyway I had my engine rebuilt and since it was out the car I didn't want all the aac valve etc and associated pipework. Reason being is when it was installed before, the pipes had kinks in them plus it would be slow to start when hot which I'm sure has got something to do with the valve. I'm running a stock manifold with stock throttles. I'm planning to go down the link g4 route to control the idle. I did try and search on how to do away with the valve but there were no clear instructions. The garage that I used T'eed the brake and clutch pipes from the manifold to the throttle. This made the car hunt at 2k revs which was ridiculous and loud. After asking advice on a different forum and visiting a tuner who didn't even tell me the solution or help me in anyway (unless I paid), I tried to do it myself, albeit the incorrect way. I blocked off the throttle vacuum and connected the brake and clutch to the manifold. This is wrong as the brakes were solid with no vacuum. This did make it idle at around 500 revs but didn't stall. (better than 2k revs) So attempting it again I want to make sure the below is the correct method: - connect brake and clutch to each vac from the throttle bodies - block off the two main pipes under the plenum - the other small outlet from the plenum can be connected as normal? Thanks in advance.
  11. Any update to this? Was keen on the intercooler shroud.
  12. I have a catch tank that vents to atmosphere. To stop the fumes going back in to the cabin I connected the pipe to the catch tank all the way to the rear near the exhaust so I don't have to put up with the smell. Works good.
  13. Its wet around the sandwich plate so looks to be the kit that is leaking. Leaking on to front diff then dripping on to front subframe. The only way I can see is to take off the plenum. Easy task?
  14. Ok so I drive my car only on weekends. Haven't had much problems apart from a slight leaking power steering pump which was recently fitted by a popular garage in the uk. Anyway as I got home last night, reversing in to the garage I notice a trail of oil, now I'm thinking wtf. Look under the car as it's running and it's dripping oil. Turn it off. Have a gander in the engine bay to see how what's wrong and can't see anything. Did hear it was making a weird gurgling noise coming from the radiator pipe. Today since I had time to inspect, I jacked up the front and it's coming from the driver side. It's not the cam half moon seals as I got that leak sorted last year and the area looks bone dry. It's not the dip stick as that fits in firm and wasn't even sticking out. Btw it's now reading low on the dip stick. I do have an oil filter relocation kit fitted. Here are pics I've managed to take today: You can see oil dripping alongside the power steering rack. Can also see a drop of oil on the oil filter relocation piping from the engine. Haven't started the car since yesterday. You can see that it's also leaking on to the subframe. The passenger side was fine. As I was laying on the floor under the car, contemplating my existence and wtf is wrong with the car now I noticed drops of oil coolant forming on the bell housing and progressively getting worse, probably since the car was jacked from the front and not level. I then decided to drop the front down and call it a day. So now I'm trying to narrow down the leak. Rear main oil seal? Headgasket? Bearing in mind that this seemed to happen all of a sudden. What's the cost I'm looking at? Will order some more oil. Thinking about getting it trucked to a garage on weekend. Hold me guys I'm not gonna make it...
  15. WOW, just spent last 15 minutes googling on trying to find someone who did away with the original breathers. This thread is such a life saver! I need the -12 size so please pm me with price (-12 rb26) shipped to uk, and I'll send back my address. There was no info on this on the current forum that I use (gtroc)! Also how can you remove the original ones? It was a mission for me just to turn them. I don't want to remove the cam covers off the car as I just installed them using the triple flow baffles, can't 'push' them out. So if you know how to pull them out please let me know. Happy to have found this thread, otherwise I probably would've gone on a wild goose chase. (you guys have better smilies aswell)
