does anyone know if the dash display in a r34 gtr can be altered to english instead of japanese some of the menus are still in japanese which makes things hard is there a software app that can hack the display/or upgrade ? ive managed to find a place to put gps on and tv on the display dash but thats it anyone got any ideas? 1999 r34 gtr imported from singapore(if it matters)

i kind of question that myself and it made sense but the base software programs are available as a free download of the net as are most known ecu maps u have a better option with the software wouldnt u say a controller was only a added option for the power fc

i think in the end aound the 22k mark ,as for comp i cant tell u i will ask him next time i see him but that did include new 18 inch tyres and some paint work $400 tyres $900 paint (ouch) he wasnt to happy when he saw like 20 skylines in the autotrader for under 19k

your guess is as good as mine , when the car arrived it was driven of the boat not a problem , my mate seen and heard the car driving all was good , and then he tells me the head gasket was blown so imports replaced and shaved the head ,then the car wouldnt start and ran like shit thats when it all seemed to get real dodgy allot of what was said to him from imports 101 didnt make sense to me ,seems like there was a lot of stalling and bullshit going on but i know for sure that that car would not of made it over the pits in the state it was in

good eyes man ,your right the sides and front were damage when it came off the boat ,so imports 101 organized someone to paint it and they fudged it up i told him to complain because they charged him $900 and there going to redo it . the pics dont really show how bad it is but it really brings the look of the car down poor bloke has only had the car a week and has been riddled with problems its got some huge tuning issues (boosting over 1.5 bar) and imports101 dont know how to fix it so they sent it to steve from the old sst (chriss mills) and he said he couldnt tune without a hand controller because he dosent know how to tune with a laptop seems strange to me cause its a power fc , so i suggested hyperdrive and they said we can fix it no problem indicators falling out of sockets pipework popping off power steering etc everything can be fixed it just a matter of time

this is my mates new car ,he just got it last friday thru imports 101 (finally after 4 months) u cant get the real effect of the pearl paint but it is a pinky pearl with a tinge of purple on the top layer(mate calls it mauve) it has a power fc , fmic, apex cams, fuel pump, ajustable suspension, shit load of gauges 18inch rims, his old car was a holden astra so the transition to the r33 has been a good one

thanks for the reply bhdave i pulled apart the electric button unit .and found that it ha s a crack on the bottom of the up and down switch ,which since has broken (due to my clumseness) and has made it stay on the up position,so it looks like ill be lookin for a new unit this weekend thanks for the info

hi guys about a week ago my 33 started clicking from the right hand door , so i pulled the trim off and found that it was comming from the white box that has something to do with the electric windows, now the strangest thing is that it will click every 10 seconds twice .with every click the engine revs up and down ,not much but enough to notice it (say like when the aircon is turned on) does anyone know what this little white box does in the door and how it could be afecttting my revs

steve from sst tuned my car and the best it ever pulled was 330 hprw running std pump injectors ,it run very unstable as there were some other issues that still need to be sorted (haltech) huge spikes prevented us from stable tune it run at that rating for some months so i guess it can be done but the inj ,pumps are getting done soon (bosch,mazda rotory inj)so we will see how she holds i am now running 2oo rwkw with the worst midrange u could have , everything kicks in at the end now but steve made it safe so as not to blow(without sacrificing the fun factor to much) fmic/haltech ecu/twin yamo/hks 2540/apex avc-r/sau sticker(adds 250kw)

okay here is the problem my fmic has been scratched to the shithouse by the old mesh insert ,which has since been removed (as u can see in the pics) the indents are to deep to simply buff over so i was wondering is it possible to turn the cooler around 180 degree ,as the back is perfect ,not a sctrach is it a case of directional airflow like water in a radiator or does this not matter the inlet and outlet are at the same hieght, being the middle of the cooler so the flip it would not present a problem its purley for the looks as the marks make the front end look dodge does anyone have any info on the matter

i had the same problem about 2 months backs ,tried everything and turned out it was the motor ,it would get stuck half way up or down and make the most gut renching grinding sound the gear on the moter was clicking and just stripped it self i was lucky to find one out in tyhe stiks fo $80.00 wasnt to hard to reinstall just fidgety hope this helps

hi guys got a strange problem with avc-r for some reason the solanoid dosen't engage anymore Ussually I will hear a click sound when the boost setting is changed from A to b All the other sensor seem to still be working (duty ,revs ,kms,etc) But no boost it stopped working while it was on a dyno run , the mechanic found some pretty eratic spiking going,so i guess im lucky it happened on the dyno so he set the boost to run of the actuator so i guess its pretty much running standard I am not 100% sure how to test or where to start ,has anyone had the same problem or Any idea why this may of happened 1994 gtst haltech EK6 apex avc-r
