  1. Ok I've done some refinements also seeing I did the originals which most of you seem to like. No offence Ronin but your serifs appear a little chunky on both options. I have also widened the T which seems to balance the GT much better.
  2. I have it turned off for city driving as you only need to use it when travelling over 80kmh.
  3. I've searched hardcore on the net for 6 months and only came across one maybe 2 places worldwide that possibly stock some sizes but I don't wanna disclose anything until I know I can get a new set for myself first. If I'm successful I'll let ya know straight away.
  4. Super Advan Racing SA3R...quite old skool now but still one of the nicer wheels getting around. I've got them on my black 33. They are out of production and have now been superseeded by the version II.
  5. I haven't got the rear window wiper as well as no control on the wiper stalk...it gives the car a much sleeker and cleaner appearance from side profile. Its a 97 as well.
  6. Is there an update yet?
  7. Hang on a minute...your quote says the above, with no exceptions...which implies across the board according to your analysis of it! There is no context in your statement apart from the words 'P-PLATE' and the laws partnering it. I only used smart cars as an example of a turbo car which can be driven by p-platers which defies your comments.
  8. There are exceptions to the 'rule' because there are small cars around with small turbos which do not fall into this category. Surely the legislation refers to the BHP to weight ratio. Most cars with engines above 2 litres with a turbo are out. For example, the SMART car has a turbo and definately wouldn't fall into this category
  9. Sighing... now look, I can tell you a PDF file created out of Illustrator contains exactly the postscript data as an Illustrator EPS. The word 'vector' is only an industry term used when referring to infinite quality and not file formats in any regard. The term PDF stands for 'portable document format' and was created for compressing files and for use in cross platform applications, meaning it can be used in both Mac and PC enviroments whereas the EPS file format isn't native to PC. The only way the color can shift or differ when creating a pdf from the eps is when color profiles are excluded or the entire Adobe package be it v8,9,10, CS or C2II color settings are not cross calibrated. Either way just because a file may or may not contain correct color information it doesn't mean the color cannot be corrected at the printers end...it bloody can and this guy is yanking your crank! The final word..find another printer if you can because this PPQ guy will run himself out of business because he has NFI!!
  10. blah blah blah...did I even insinuated for a micro second you had any dramas whatsoever with ya printer...NO!
  11. Fair enough but in the 13 years I have been involved in graphic design, if you have a good enough relationship with your man...they will do leaps and bounds to keep you happy.
  12. If he wanted the flat look he could have just sent the pdf to PPQ, as they can open it as eps postscript format just as you have. On the other hand I dont really see the need to create it in its embossed form due to the size it will appear on the number plates. The shadows and any gradients will appear as a very ordinary stipple at the required size.
  13. Let's get this straight now...its no use trying to write the file as an eps if the original file is not in raw postscript format. The purpose of this raw file format is to allow you to scale the artwork to any size without any loss of quality in the final print. If it is a pdf created from this raw format, well then yes you can re-open it in Adobe Illustrator and save it as the correct type of eps needed for large format printing. I can do this job for you no worries but somebody will need to tell me what typeface was used.
  14. I quite like what you've done with the S actually and I understand your reasons for adding the 'serifs' to it. I merely designed the S that way because it reflects the S from the Skyline logo. Anyway well done!
  15. You manipulated my artwork you terd...haha!!
  16. I'm from Tonnie but live in Melbourne now!
  17. dont think so...the saga changes every week
  18. Oh yeah good call!...I know this road very well!!
  19. What about the anodized guides...how much longer?
  20. [my advice to anyone that lives in richmond Vic- watch out. C'mon...dont use this unfortunate experience as a means to inform us of your opinions of Richmond. I've lived in Richmond for eternities and never had any dramas.
  21. You need to use the 'Batch' function. Go to...FILE/AUTOMATE/BATCH and use the save and close options in the drop down menu. You may need to play with it for a while to find the ideal settings if you havent used this before.
  22. I'll go for Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose....the needle on the speedo always goes berserk when this gets played!
