  1. It's about time they started cracking down on this, I can't believe how easy they can get away with it!
  2. They're very hard to find and very expensive; http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-headlight-set-xenon-genuine-nissan-nissan-skyline-r33-gtr-p-534.html
  3. Well as of one week ago my 1996 R33 GT-R is on it's way to Australia thanks to Iron Chef Imports, they really impressed me with their service and would gladly recommend them!
  4. This one please: BCNR33023317 Thanks again
  5. Can I please get this: BCNR33041480 Thanks!
  6. Cheers mate! Another one? BCNR33041826
  7. This one please if you could: 6U9000BNR34401553 Thanks!
  8. You wouldn't happen to live around Wollongong would you? I saw a white R32 with R34 wheels cruising around last Sunday :-)
  9. I actually had a look at that one, and it does look quite respectable however I highly doubt the mileage is genuine. You can try asking to see the auction sheet.
  10. Without looking at in closer, I'd say the rubbers could use some adjusting under the hood but it could be more than that.
  11. That is so devious... With R rated cars, does that mean a serious accident or could it be just a minor bumper scrape?
  12. I looked at that one at Edward Lee's (I know)... To my surprise it was absolutely immaculate and unmolested, was the best car in the yard by a long shot.
  13. As I've been recently discovering, having a professional import for you is apparently a much safer bet than dealing with the inadequacies and deceptiveness of some local dealers out there!
  14. I remember watching these old Japanese clips of some 1/4 mile drags with Skylines and other Jap cars. The R33 did a best of 13.0 secs with other runs being around 13.1 and 13.2. The Supra did 14.0, RX7 13.5. I believe under 13 secs is possible with the restrictor removed.
  15. That sounds pretty thorugh especially for an auction vehicle, so the only thing you don't know is how it drives. I suppose though the condition of the outside of the car usually resembles the rest of it. Did you get any service history or books at all? Appreciate the details mate!
  16. That's good advice, I would prefer to find something in Australia if I can. Dealer cars haven't all been bad, I quite like this '95 R33 which is pretty mint and been in Australia for a while and looks legit. Under $20,000 too so it looks like good value. I've learned heaps reading through this forum, it's a gold mine!
  17. 2 posts and I already feel loved.. Thanks Terry It just blows me away that true car fanatics can buy cars without seeing or driving them, so there must be a lot of trust placed in these importers especially when they nab them from auctions. Smidy I'd be interested to hear about your story too, like if it was auction or dealer and how thoroughly it was inspected etc. Keep them coming guys, this is great info!
  18. Hey no worries Terry even though it wasn't really intentional That would be great mate, there may be a lot of dealers out there who are genuine likewise with importers. For a newcomer just looking to get a GT-R it would be really helpful to know who everyone used and how it all went. Even when just inspecting cars. I'm Shane, nice to meet you all!
  19. Wish we had those kinds of dealers of here!
  20. Looks like I came to the right place, really appreciate that feedback. I suppose a lot of the dealers don't even know much about the cars themselves, for example not knowing the difference between a V-Spec and a normal GT-R is pretty common I've found along with not knowing if the instrument cluster has been replaced. Looked up Iron Chef and been reading some posts and he sounds pretty good, many of you guys have great cars on here so they must be coming from somewhere
  21. Hi guys, I've been doing a lot of reading on here this week after a mate and I checked out all the dealers on Parramatta Road and I'm lucky I stumbled across this thread. I thought we were being thorough at looking at them but obviously not thorough enough! My mate is after an R34 and I'd be after an R33 in the future but after reading all this all the dealers seem dodgy. I've been looking into J-Spec as well but I just can't imagine spending that much money on a used car that I've never looked at or never driven. Should dealers be avoided all together? Some of them may be that good at lying that it's impossible to tell!
