  1. hmmm i do seem to be experiencing this too.. but without the exhaust popping.. have got flat spots occasionally and boost is very unpredictable.. very wierd i must say
  2. hehehe.. im jus bored and thought that didnt add up hehe hate ignorant ppl not to mention any usernames just lighten up.. ppl are trying to help out... yeah u might be able to help out a bit more.. but everyone is jus trying to give him their 2c worth and if he's stupid enough to take what ppl write in posts here to be 100% accurate well then yeah.. tell him to literally take off the turbo and there u go dad.. i got a non turbo car..
  3. hmmm your 41.. he's 18 aircraft engineer and a qualified comp technician. but been workin in robotics for longer than 23 years (for thos that dont hav such a hi iq like our genious friend here, 41 - 18 equals 23) but if im not wrong (i dont care anyway coz im just a measley chippy's apprentice) but you'd have to be about 18 to even start uni, and im guessin an aircraft engineer course would be atleast 4 years, which would make u 22 thats unless you got this certification over the internet with your microsoft certified computer technician degree/diploma/certificate even, which im guessin u didnt of course because u got an iq of 140. now you are also a microsoft certified technician. i dunno much about the courses but i know these days computer technicians take a 4 year course at uni to complete? we'll make an exception for u and say it was 3 years. that means you've been doing robotics as well for at least 19 years.. hmm.. 19 (robotics) + 3 (comp course) + 4 (aircraft bs) 18 (age b4 uni) hmmm thjought u were 41 not 44? lieng bout your age? but hey.. im no genious like yourself.. flame me if im wrong

  6. hmmm i`ll go get my digi camera and go take a photo of it now, but when i cut the black wire open i found a red on inside?!? i was ment to connect that to the body too.. wasnt i????
  7. ok, thanx for the reply.. but that still does not explain why i cant adjust my boost with my dual stage boost controller? with the switch on or off i still get the same amount of boost (just below the 3/4 line) which u pointed out is infact 7 pound.. also how come once i did the wire hack i was getting aprox 7/8ths (close to the +7 on the guage..) and i understand the concept of earthing the wire, but what is the red internal wire for (wrapped inside the black one)
  8. about a month ago, i did the little bodgy mod ( http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=42895 ) which basically gives you constant 7-8 pound boost. which i was quite happy with the result. about a week ago, on my way to work, i noticed i was getting no more than 3 pound boost (wouldnt go over the line between 0 and 7 on the stock boost guage) once i got to work i popped my bonnet and saw that the red wire (which was inside the black one to be earthed) became loose and wasnt connected to earth. i went and purchased a boost controller assuming that my boost solenoid had carcked it but that hasnt fixed the problem.. could it be my computer which is restricitng it to 3? i`m really confused! any suggestions as to why i cant get over 3 pound would be greatly appreciated!! babs
  9. ah k, thanx for the tips monstas4 and alchemist.. ill try both of those things and see how i go... i also found another thread with someone having similar problems.. se if those suggestions help thanx again..
  10. i've got an r33 gtst, and roughly once a week i get an idling problem for about 15 secs once i start the car. what happens is once i start the engine, the revs (like always) first jump up to roughly 1400rpm or so, and instead of dropping down to 1100rpm for a minute or so it keeps jumping up and down between 600 and 1400rpm. this happens for about 15 seconds and if i give it a bit of throttle, eventually it stops and idles normally again... and like i said before.. what spins me out the most.. is that it only happens once a week or so... was told by a novice (like myself) that it could be a leaky bov?? :confused: !!! help please! babs...

  13. nizmo kid, what other templates has he got? im looking at getting a few floor mats, but not to keen on the drift po cats... and are they all around the $55 mark?
  14. i just bought a skyline 2 days ago and am looking hard for comprehensive insurance. however my problem is that i'm only 18 with 20%ncb and i live in a "bad area" although Famous insurance sounds like a real bargain for young drivers, but has anybody got a contact number i could call?
