Mate, best car cover ever is Kenco Tyvec car cover. They are not cheap. When I bought one, it was 160 in the large size from autobarn. Breaths, machine washable, doesn't scratch. Best quality. Don't buy shit ones. they scratch. I've heard that they have come down in price recently.

How much costs you're willing to pay. I accept girls as payment.

Listen, you're the one who's asking for a favour. As mentioned above, this is a public forum. People can say whatever they like. They aren't even serious anyway, they're just mucking around. Ever heard of the saying Beggars can't be choosers? YOU ARE THE BEGGAR. Think about it like this. How does it benefit people to drive almost all the way to the border of civilisation to give you a lift? They get nothing out of it. Yet some people have offered, as THEY ARE NICE. so quit your whining and be thankful that people ahve actually offered you a lift!

I reckon it's rice. People keep complaining about how it's a waste of money to make a gtst look like a gtr. how many times have you guys heard this phrase whenever gtst owners ask about making their cars look like gtrs, they get told 'buy a gtr'. therefore, in my opinion, it's just rice. for 6k, you can get a nice collection of go fast and handling bits.

I reckon matt black looks like shit. I personally love cars that shine. No matter how professionally/perfect the matt black spray is, I still reckon it looks like it was painted with a $2 supercheap autocan. but that's just my opinion.

yes, the most difficult and time consuming things are jacking the car and putting it on stands to make it safe, and undoing the bolts. they can be quite tight sometiems.

Gearbox Bolt Wont Budge!?!
MANWHOR3 replied to silver gts-t's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
don't use a rattle gun. The stupid servo that I took it to (before I learnt anything about cars) used a rattle gun. the thing is, the head on the gun isn't a perfect sqaure like on the breaker bar. it's a f**ked up smaller rounded shape. They ruined my plug a bit. those plugs are always a killer to undo. I managed to get mine done without too much cursing or blood on the floor with stand and jack. when you say you wrecked the plug a bit, that's fine. the plug's dirty, most likely you just scraped a tiny bitta metal off and it looked clean. give it a decent crack on the hoist if you can't on the ground, and next time, don't do it up so tight. -
for 220, i would imagine that you'd get oil + filter. I just do it myself - motul 8100 - $52 + filter - $7.20 = 59.20

there are quite a few good results. hehehe, just not on on the first page. in regards to your question, I would say that an r32 with cams and camgears should make approximately 120 rwkw on pump fuel. My gtr gets 302 rwkw, but it's very sik

Abs Conversion On Non-abs Gts-t
MANWHOR3 replied to SLY33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Degree of difficulty is high. not worth the trouble. just sell and buy one with abs. -
that's nuts mate. I've never ever seen pedals like that before. the ones I have on my car have a clip thhingy on the back. installing it is as simple as tightening screws on the bracket. Cheers

Check these links. Seems to be a straight bolt on. I'm up for buying these at around $200. but Nengun does not have them. If people wanna buy these, maybe we could but them together to save on postage? http://www.tein.co.jp/bondampe.html http://www.tein.co.jp/bondamp2e.html#photo

I've seen bonnet dampers on Skylines Downunder before. There was a big thread on it. Roy, if you do decide to go ahead with this, I will be interested. See, for me, it's not so much laziness to use the bonnet holder stick. Whenever working on the car, everynow and then I might bump into the stick. I keep thinking to myself, one day, the bonnet is going to fall and chop my arms off, or break my neck. It's more for the convenience of the bonnet just staying. They were much cheaper on Skylinesdoownunder because they were made by a non gucci jap company. I think they were somewher around $200. Like i said, if you guys go ahead with this, i'm interested.

Ahem.... I'm doing law and IT. hehehe I've parked in front of b10 before. I've got a black r33. I reckon it's alright in terms of people stealing it, but you do get little scratches and stuff still, from careless people walking past it. Many people walk through the cars there. The market city carpark would be alright I suppose. I see nice supras/skylines and also ugly 180s/silvias in there. Cheers

The number of 'points' that an alarm quotes that it has is sorta like a gimmic. If you use relays (as you are supposed to), you can have almost unlimited 'points'. I can't really recommend you to a person for alarms, as i was not too happy with my guy. Best bet would be to do it yourself so you can hide it.

I am having problems with my Jaycar ebc. Car is r33 gtst The unit is working fine. I.e. it reads the injector duty fine, the display works fine etc, I can change the solenoid duty cycle and I hear it clicking quicker or slower. I believe there is a problem with my plumbing. With the solenoid fully open, I have no boost control. In 1 second, from 5psi, it went to 15 psi. I will be more careful in the future not to over boost again. I am running a vent size of 1.2 mm. I believe that I have the vent plumbed into the wrong place. I plumbed it where the stock solenoid bled to. However, I am also unsure if it was plumbed to the right place, as the hose had been changed to a blue hose by the previous owner. Reason I believe it might not be venting to the right place? with the vent blocked off, i.e. plenum > solenoid > waste gate, it works fine. changing the solenoid duty changes the boost build and max psi it reaches. however, with the vent connected, it has no boost control. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that the vent is reliving the pressure that should be used to open the waste gate. I have it plumbed as follows: intake > bottom nipple of solenoid top nipple of solenoid > t piece t piece nipple 1 > waste gate t piece nipple 2 (1.2 mm hole) > bov return pipe. Questions: 1. which of the solenoid nipples is the in? it's the bottom one right? 2. what is the problem with my hose plumbing? Is the vent in the right place? Is it meant to be connected to the bov return pipe? So why don't I have boost control? the difference is simply vent = not working, no vent = working fine. Therefore I assume it has something to do with either the vent size or where it is connected. a 1.2 mm vent is already very small. Cheers

I use motul 8100 5w40 in my car and at $61 a bottle rrp it is not cheap. I've come someone who can offer a cheaper price on the oil. If I buy 8 bottles, the price becomes $54 a bottle. This is obviously NSW only because postage is expensive. I was just looking for a few NSW people are also using this oil, and would like to buy a couple bottles, because it would take me 4 years to finish 8 bottles. Please don't ask about other oils, because I only use the 8100. Cheers PS. Mods, this is not a group buy, that's why it's not in the group buy section, and it's NSW specific.

So if you're getting pwoer to the horn plug, either the connection between the horn and the plug is not good, or the horn is stuffed. That's why you need to do what cc said/swap for another horn/clean contacts and try your horn again.

That's not the rocker cover. It's called the spark plug cover. If I was your friend, I would not pay you for it as he was helping you out with YOUR car. Cheers

would you pay a $500 deposit to test drive a car?
MANWHOR3 replied to [D4RKS1D3]'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
You don't have to absolutely rip a car to know if it's good. Links, by you saying you drove them harder than you drive yours now; remember the saying 'treat others how you want to be treated'. By driving a car firm, and by ripping the shit out of it makes no differene in giving you an indication of the condition. -
32 is actually more boxish than 33. 33 is rounder.

check the for sale section. Just saw one for sale in Sydney. was titled garage sale random stuff for sale or something like that.

Gday Fellars After reading this thread, I think I have been converted. Fatz, I've seen you drift at Oran, and it's crazy what your r31 can do. I've always wanted to take the 33 out, but too worried about crashing/denting/breaking it. I guess this is the same as you beer baron? Just a few questions though. I've looked over on carsales, and it seems that a 5speed 31 with the 3 L motor is about 2.5k. Is this about right? How come all you guys get them for like 1K? Let us in on the secret to cheap r31s.hehehe.
