Rb25de, Rb20de & Rb30e (skyline & Cefiro) Extractors/headers Group Buy
MANWHOR3 replied to Eug's topic in Group Buys
that's an awesome price (I have an rb25 det, so i'm not in on this one) -
hoenstly, it doesn't do much to your tyres. you'll notice that it'll always crab walk when you do tight turns even after the run in anyways. But it only does it at slow speeds, so tyre wear is not that bad. I mean, do you do the odd skiddy/powerover here and there? I do, and that'll wear the tyres more.
-
t04 gtr is very wrong. If you actually do the run in, you notice that it actually changes a lot. When you first put the new diff in, you can tell it isn't runnign well. it feels, well, not run in. After you do the first oil change after runin, the oil is filled with metal shards. I would definitely do it. It won't get any cop attention. a donut or butnout is that last thing you want to do. if a cop comes, just say i'm not doing anythign illegal, feel free to watch me. Show them the run in instructinos, just say i'm just driving in a figure 8, not doing donuts. If you don't run it in, it'll rattle and clunk more.

Stagea Stalled When I Did A Quick Stop.
MANWHOR3 replied to bluesky4me's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
aftermarket venting bov = stall. -
the important question that everyone needs to know is, not whether you 'think' your tyres are bald, but what is the exact tread depth? there is a minimum tread depth. The policeman wasn't saying that your tyres were bald as an orange. He suspected that it was below the minimum. Is there camberwear? e.g. is it worn on the inside or outside? I haven't checked the legislation for a while, but i think the minimum was 1.6mm

Big thank you to Abo for the tyres. It's nice to see people generously giving things they don't need (even if they have gone hard). I've always wanted to buy semis to see what they're like. I know these will be a bit hard, and probably not very grippy, but they'll still give me an idea of how hard the sidewalls are. They might have a bit of grip if I give them a burn first.

Guys, I find that generally, from reading the forums, you get more good feedback than bad feedback. I have been researching into the area of defamation recently, and it is quite evident why moderators often delete posts containing negative feedback. The case of Ebay v Grace comes to mind for those who are interested.

Today I Became A Huge Fan =)
MANWHOR3 replied to Michael_1882's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Jeez, people say putting gtr badges on gtsts is gay. I wouldn't do it myself, but at least it's a skyline. The gtr34 front on the stagea looks good, but seriously, the gtr badge makes it look like the most riced up pos in the world. If you do it, don't do the badge. -
I know that nothing will happen normally. Also, once the cable is connected, nothing will happen. It is the initial arcing that occurs when you first connect the cable on that can cause fuses to blow. It's up to you whether you believe me or not. All that i'll say is that I always exercise a degree of caution when I jump start because I have done it before and blown fuses.

I received my consult screen today. I had previously ordered a consult kit off peter. The previous kit was of a top quality. I received the kit within 1-2 days after paying. With this screen, it was no different. Peter received the money on thursday, and I had the item in my mailbox on friday! The screen itself is very very professional. The picture seriously doesn't do it justice. When I first posted interest, i thought it would look like some dicksmith project that you build and bung in a cheap box. It is perfectly fitted into a custom box. All external wiring is very neat. The lcd screen itself is a perfect choice. Very wide viewing angle. It is very visible in direct sunlight. The backlighting is also a perfect brightness for night time. It's plenty bright enough for you to be able to see at night, but not so brihgt that it glares you. The menu is very user friendly. I read the instructions, but you probably wouldn't even need to. The screen layout is very user friendly. Good use of the space. Time trials are very accurate. Fault code reading and clearing is also very useful (i didn't have any faults though). In conclussion, the product itself is a top quality product. Peter is a very honest bloke (probably the most honest person I know). He's not making any money out of this product. He has done it soley out of the good will of his heart to benefit us all. Hopefully this will clear up any doubts that any of you have if you are uncertain as to whether to buy one or not. The unit is very cheap anyways. It's a great toy and it's cheap.

Hahaha, stealth mode. Sir D, what is white tea?

Abo, check out the type of catch can that you can open with the allen keys. not just the ricer chrome ones that are just for look. You can actually fill it with steel wool and they work great. I just sold a spare one I had. The one in my car is awesome. It's 1L. That's plenty big enough, doesn't take up too much room etc.

last time I was there, there was someething that looked like fatz's r31 wagon parked there. I suppose what you said is correct, something fast

1994 Nissan Skyline Hcr33-gts T Purchase Advice
MANWHOR3 replied to Voltus's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
11K come on guys, be reasonable. You can't even buy a decent r ugly poo (32) gtst for 11k. If I were you, I would offer her what she is looking for. it's a more than reasonable price. E.g. people are still selling their r ugly poo (32) gtsts for 12-13k. -
Petrol is also carcinogenic, so try not to touch it if you don't have to.

Firstly, sII is a very difficult fit. The bonnet/front bar is actually a different shape. SI i beleive can be made to fit quite easily, because the headlights are the same shape. the brackets are slightly different, so will require slight mods. the grill probably won't bolt on, but that's fine, just get a gtr fibreglass grill for $100. I've actually sourced a set of gtr xenons from japan and they're coming in. Don't hold your breath waiting for me though, i'm very busy with uni atm.

As far as i'm aware, that is incorrect. Scratch x is not an abrasive at all. A cut is the abrasive one. the scratch x is just a filler - much like a wax of some type to restore optical consistency. Taht is, in simple language, it just attempts to raise the scratch up to the normal height so it isn't visible.
-
Scratch x doesn't seem to last very long. nor does the carnuaba. A hot summers day parked outside might be enough to melt it all away. I've found that other products work a lot better. Great result though. Keep us informed how long it lasts before the swirls come back.

Pete, i'm still gettign one. As I have said numerous times, you are an absolute legend for taking the time to do these things for all of us. I didn't mean anything bad by my post, I was just toying with the idea. I always just think of all these things that would be really cool to have even though in realtiy, they are really difficult to do. Cheers
-
Hi Pete I would have sent this to you in a pm, but pms don't seem to be working. It appears that elie said in your thread that he's also interested in using the k-type sensor for the oil temp. Do your current units have the hardware and software provision for the addition of a sensor later? Like if there's enough interest on this feature, can it just be added later? Or will a different circuit board have to be made etc? I'm sure people would be interested in being able to have oil temp too. Instead of people buying the sensors from all different places having different tolerances etc, do you have access to buy them? If so, what if you just designed the unit to take that one type of sensor, and i'll just give you money for the sensor? I'm still very itnerested, and i'd be 300% interested if we can get the oil temp working. Save me having all different gauges and all other things everywhere. cheers Chris

I don't think it's correct in saying that a particular type of car e.g. gtst or gtr is a lemon. However, as r32 gtst/gtr are getting quite long in the tooth, especially the 89 models, most of them are lemons. When buying those old ones, unless if the engine's been rebuild, it's really a lucky dip. Some people get lucky and score a bargain. I have a friend who bought an 89 model r32 gtr for 15k. The motor is in perfect condition. Several people on this forum have also bought r32s and have had the engines die on them.
-
Hey Pete I'm still interested. I'd love to help, but unfortunately, i'll be away for a few weeks.

ok, lets jsut say that firstly, lawsuis are expensive. not worth the small cost of your clutch. Keep in mind that these companies ahve money. If you think it'll just end in small claims, that is unlikely. Also, have you thoguht abotu just talking to them? Most companies value your business, and might just give you a new one? Also, how would suing your mechanic help? he didn't break it did he?
-
I can't wait to see how it goes for you guys. Hope you don't mind me posting in your confirm thread, considering the gb is done. I just wnated to see how it looked, how hard it was to install etc. I figure, even if i have to pay a bit more, at least i'll know if it's good or shit.

Help: Legal Headlight Colour 4000k Blue Etc

SAU really does need a lighting section to stop common misconceptions and stop people from wasting money.
