  1. how did you attach the pedals on? did you have remove that rubber slip on thing on the pedals and then drill into the metal? or do these new ones slip over the metal thing?
  2. by cutting the fuel pump at 9000rpm, you may have leaned your motor out. I would never do that.
  3. what's wrong with breathing the fibres in? I htought they stopped using asbestos? or am I wrong.
  4. I totally agree with wrxhooon. I'm in the process of getting one of my cars resprayed atm. It's a colour change from lexus pearl white to black with a purple pearl. Calling around, I got prices ranging from 1k-12k. I didn't just do a noobie phone book run. these are people that were recommended to me by people that know the people. I have a belief that if you're gonna do something, do it right or don't do it at all. I want this car to be totally perfect. that is, As good as a factory spray. I don't want a single run or orange peel or dry paint or anything. The place i've got it booked into is changing me 5k because I told him about how picky I am. Like wrxhoon said, everyone has different standards. some people may well be blown away and really happy with the quality of a 1k paint job. For me personally, if the car had any imperfections in the paint, i would hate it. I've got a stone chip on the roof of my skyline and that alone drives me nuts. for 1k, they'll just tape up around the windows etc and it leaves a really nasty line there. it looks cheap and shit.
  5. It is an r32 gtr seat. It includes the rail. I have bolted it into the following cars before: r32 gtst/gtr and r33 gtst and it fitted like stock. I'll take pics tomorrow when it gets brighter. A pair of gtr seats normally go for 800-1k. That's 4-500 a seat. This is a leather seat.
  6. Chris, you are a real champ mate for organising stuff for us. For someone like me (just a normal person) I find it hard to fork out 650 to get those ones off ebay. I mean, they're nice, but i don't have 650. Also, 650 is way too much to pay for pleather (the ebay stuff isn't real leather). Also, I don't know people in asia etc. It would be really awesome if this goes ahead, unlike that other skyline leather seat thread. If the price ends up being around the price of that FTO group buy, that would be great. Once again, thanks mate.
  7. Nah, Actually, this site is pretty gay regarding a-lsd. I keep asking about certain things about a-lsd. No one knows what fluid it uses. no one knows how to bleed the system. No one actually knows how it performs relative to the normal gtr 2way diff. Searching will get you info about fully sik people talking about fully sik stuff. but nothing actually useful about the a-lsd. Like there's info about how people have installed fully sik power fcs into their fully sik skylines to make them fully sik and go quicker. does someone actually know anything useful about the a-lsd? if so, please post.
  8. that one is a complete bargain at 250 including the bootlid, but from the looks of it, it'll need a respray.
  9. yeah, fully sik pinny springs. put em in, she'll be right.
  10. put some good tyres on the front, otherwise your car will understeer like anything. The back ones will heat up and get grippy, and the front wheels will just get pushed and lose grip. your front tyres don't get worn much because they should be pointing in the direction you're sliding
  11. can I ask what is wrinkly? I know what the word means, but as in, how is it wrinkly? you mean like a fake leathery pattern? or you mean it is like fluffy in the middle of the seat?
  12. A proper gel battery actually has gel in it. does this battery have gel? or is it still acid/water, just with a cap that is sealed?
  13. try having a look down the gap. maybe they bent the locking rod. as said, try and open and close it. have a look if you can unlock it through the gap.
  14. btw, waz, can you give me a price break down? why was it 680? I thought it was 500? how much was the handbrake boot? how much was the stitching, logo etc?
  15. finally someone has actually gone ahead with it. this thread has been dead for so long. you're the man waz.
  16. I have been warned by someone that they are in fact not fully sealed. I am looking for a battery though. can you pop up that cover on the top of the battery and see if there are caps underneath?
  17. exactly as I say. car stuff is never plug and play. it's never bolt on. All these fully sik hectic car modder keyboard warriors always say this is a straight bolt in etc. let me tell ya, almost everything i've installed in the car required slight improvisation.
  18. that look slike the stock bov to me. I'll take a pic of the stocker for you after my exams (22nd).
  19. Primordial. Looks like I might have more time than I thought this holidays. I might have a few qs for ya. I'm in sydney too. Do you reckon you migth be able to give us a hand.... please please please to quick track this thing.
  20. with highflowing, imagine, what they do is they make that hole (the snout you look into) bigger so it can fit bigger wheels. The idea with the vg30 housing, is that the whole snail itself is bigger. Imagine that round bit where the air goes around to make the wheel spin. It's bigger and flows more air. machining is for fitting a bigger wheel. the actual snail being bigger doesn't have anything to do with the machining. cheers
  21. 21U is an r33 rb25 stock housing. I'm 100% sure.
  22. I get what you're saying RE the usb key. but, I seriously don't see a harddrive as lasting very long. I suppose one option migiht be keeping all the music and crap on a dvd, but that would be pretty gay. no different to just playing an mp3 cd. So could you guys post up where you bought the mobo and psu from? was the lili screen 2nd hand? or new. cheers.
  23. Hahaha, I'm not going to start an r33 v r32 debate. If someone offered you an immaculate 97 model 33, woudl you not swap?
  24. If you want a cheap smurf, have red smurf (atf) it'll shift really well, but the box won't last long. But it's cheap.
