it's a VE map so do you have a MAP sensor installed? There's an onboard MAP sensor that you can run a vac line to
edit: also don't forget to tune the injector latency
with 272 cams and a 6466 on a 2.6L i'd be surprised if it comes on before 5k RPM but I have nothing really to base that on. Hopefully someone can weigh in.
edit: it would be and absolute weapon on boost though
Okay rb26 is different.
Forget the turbosmart model you listed.
You can buy Garrett adjustable actuators from GCG with 1 bar base setting. They are pretty affordable.
Don't bother buying HKS they aren't any better than the Garrett but cost more
Well it depends on what car you have but assuming rb20/25 yes it will work. You need a bracket for it to fit though.
The kinugawa option comes with a bracket but the actuator is pretty shitty
No one has ever killed a turbo with oil starvation at first start up. If that actually happened it would have been a DOA turbo anyway.
When you do an oil change and fit a dry filter the whole engine runs with no oil pressure for 4-6 seconds
suspension will also help keep it in a straight line. Too much oversteer? go a bit harder on the front shocks.
My R32 responds really well to minor changes
