I got the auction report with my car, unfortuanetely i couldn't read it properly till a little later so i was only able to translate and understand a bit, my car ended up having the radiator support cut so that had to be replaced, it wasn't mentioned, and i was annoyed with that, but the other stuff that came with the car, i think it was a fair price, would've been nice to know though.

Skyline Gtr Concept (proto)
bootlegapparel replied to Dingo's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I don't think it's genuine, there's no links on the nissan japan website or anywhere else, and no links to any other nissan site on the gtrproto website. seems suss -
i heard the evo 9 will land soon, but whats the pricing going to be at?? theyre still a pretty rare car on aussie roads, evos... it seems to me to be the most financially viable option.. and what do you think?? whats the best value for money car to bring back to Oz and still have a solid investment <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The new evo is going to be released NOT under the 100 car rule or whatever it was can't remember the tech name, and competitively priced at almost the same price as the Sti, so there should be a few more on the roads, they won't be as rare anymore.

What so good about rotary????
bootlegapparel replied to Mecha's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Meh, mine made 400hp on 6psi so it doesn't seem that odd. Rotaries compare like this 13b comparable to a 2.4 or 2.6 L 4 or 6 cylinder piston, depending on who you talk to. Mazda actually measure the displacement the "proper" way, if you want to compare a rotary to a pistons displacement you have to double it. so, 13b = 2.6L 20b = 4.0L 26b = 5.2L rough guide but you get the idea -
Another One for the Burning
bootlegapparel replied to toby19's topic in General Automotive Discussion
hahahahahaha, yeah, a 4 door sedan going faster round a circuit faster than an enzo????, and under 80kgs? Who isn't under 80kgs anyways? Well, who would race cars and not be under 80kgs... -
FD RX7 or Mitsubishi EVO VI
bootlegapparel replied to CONRAD's topic in General Automotive Discussion
     Yeah they sure do.... -
Apparently he's going to be screwed, and rightly so, the police took him away within 15 minutes. He was swerving erratically through traffic before that happened. The HSVs have got the LS2 don't they? 6.0L V8 297 kw? Don't they get the LS6 soon? The 7.0l V8? Strange thing about that one is it revs to 7K on the Corvette.

R34 Vspec or 1989 porsche 911Turbo?
bootlegapparel replied to Badboy's topic in General Automotive Discussion
How much do the 1989 911 Turbos go for? I saw one to import that was priced at $29000, that's alot less than a 34 GTR. Personally, I'd take the porsche, if it were around $30000, cause it's a porsche. -
Evo 5 is still the greatest imo. The X is supposed to have a completely redone engine, would be interesting waiting for htat

10 hurt as 'street race' car crashes
bootlegapparel replied to 88silhouette's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Well, I can see why the crowd revolted against the media. The media was the Daily Telegraph, the paper that consequtively ran front page p plate bashing stories, and has continued to attack any modified cars, especially targetting skylines, blaming young people for all of the traffic problems, and generally being the complete editorialising bastards that they are. I wouldn't have attacked them, but i would've stuck it to them in words. But don't take that as an excuse, attacking the police doing their job (apparently as far as I know) and street racing, is just plain dumb and lame. It's a real shame, I wouldn't want to be the one who got crushed between the cars, and I wouldn't have been there watching anyway, who honestly organises a street racing meeting, I thought we all agreed fatf style was gay... -
your fuel economy is bad probably due to your tune, get it checked. service costs getting you down? do it yourself

Preventive Measures for Theft
bootlegapparel replied to Darren83's topic in General Automotive Discussion
My advice, get a good alarm like a nemesis, at least 3 point immobiliser, kill switch, club lock, take out your ecu or unplug it, disconnect the fuel pump, and a boot. -
Hey that's great news, I hope you end up catching who did it though.

what about waiting for the Mazda 6 MPS, Turbocharged 4WD, it's not overly stupid either, it's supposed to be a refined yet sporty car, i guess like a bmw sortof notion. but, from the testing i've seen, it LOVES to oversteer, i'd consider that -

Go the mazda, it's the sportiest of the lot, probably the most practical too. Have you looked at a mazda 6? They look quite good. -
