  1. Personally I think you are wasting time with a greddy intake manifold, stick with stock unless aiming for well over 500kw then go for a plasmaman or hypertune or something similar. Didn't see you addressing oiling anywhere in your post, I would pull engine, enlarged and gated sump plus billet gears, baffling and restrictors in head with a good catch can. Head gasket and studs along with the fuel you mentioned and ecu. Then beat on the standard bottom end until it goes, with oiling and balancer etc it should last awhile and hopefully will be ring lands that fail not bearings meaning a cheaper rebuild. While it's out replace a heater hoses and do major service etc, get covers painted, all fiddly odds and ends. As others have said if going above a -7/9 size range ditch twins.
  2. Quick photo from coffee and coast drive.
  3. Had more than a few of those offers haha! When they go the car will go with them
  4. Not sure if still making them, mate found it in the boot of a car they bought for parts.
  5. Chucked in a mines 3 gauge cluster, love the stock look but now have a boost gauge that I don't max out.
  6. Can't go wrong with galvsport, mine doesn't go anywhere else.
  7. It's had the under tray cut out and few small cracks so not worth much, if in Perth can come grab it for a six pack haha.
  8. Got the sticker off, raised ride height a bit drives alot better now. Won't be putting charbon splitter back on its too much of a pain in the ass. Couple photos from custom cars and coffee showing new pods and ride height.
  9. I was pretty happy with mine on e85 20 psi. Perfect for Streeter.
  10. Mine start pushing coolant on 20psi e85 350kw or so. Just do studs and gasket while engines out save doing it twice like me.
  11. Type of cams and fuel/ boost target would help with answers
  12. Finally found some n1 rear pods!
  13. Bought some iron x today and gave the paint avoid going over with that and several clay bar passes, made a huge difference getting out the small staining on paint work highly recommend it.
  14. Thanks , yeah quick garage Tomei expreme cat back and blitz front pipes which will soon swap for equal length. It does have a silencer can slip in but haven't used it. Only thing is keeping them polished is a pain may have to seal them.
  15. White was the only colour I was looking for too and got very lucky with timing. Second choice would be wine red which most people hate haha. Experienced one negative of new can, dropped the coolant overflow lid down the side and took ages to get out.
  16. No idea on type of battery haha, Good point, expect to see both black in the future . Made 484 on dyno today same tune as before but gained 13 hp from the expreme catback opening it up in top end.
  17. Quick update, Had engine out and installed: Hks head gasket Arp studs Head check and clean etc Custom battery and catch can Black -10 lines and fittings. Drain from can to sump Restrictors in head and block Baffling in the cam covers. All oiling side is taken care of now so hopefully don't have to worry about it. Goes in for power run in morning to double check everything and may turn up wick couple psi will play it by ear. Will also anodize the catch can black for stealth at some point. Once again beautiful work from Josh and the lads, wonce its black will look almost factory.
  18. This happened. Panasports 18 x 10.5 +22 Tomei Expreme Ti catback. Hunting for some Mines front pipes now to finish off the sound. Bad news is pushing small amount of coolant from head, so heads coming off to do gasket and studs. Will fab up some hard pipes for the cooler hoses and a catch can set up so that everything is ready to push the turbos. Will retune for 25psi or so and see how we go
  19. My clutch pedal was different, had no hole on the bracket attached like yours (late 94 r32). Have pulled the grommet from pedal box and done same thing there with the screw and seems to achieve similar.
  20. Your list has all you really need for e85, like other said, go for bigger injectors to give more head room. Deatschwerks 1200cc are around $650 for a set and very good for the price. Add a 450L or so pump for a few hundred bucks, you will probably need some new higher capacity wiring to it which is pretty cheap to. Also another thing to consider is the cost of a powerfc + profec B is getting pretty close to a $2000 ecu, All you need is a $60 mac valve and all your boost control is handled by a much more advanced and fail safe unit. From all the reading and testimonials of -5s I got, perfect on a stroker build, but not ideal for 2.6. Personal preference but I hate waiting much above 4K RPM for boost on a street car. EDIT: If you have the long nose oil crank engage, or you buy the collar, I was told probably better to stick with the stock pump. Its the gears that fail. Can find billet gears for around the $400 mark. A really high flowing pump will do more harm than good on a stock motor unless you pull the head off and fit a smaller restrictor.
  21. Loving the -9s banter! I also have a set and best thing I ever did was go them over the -5's. I get 20psi by a little over 4K and makes 470hp. Thats with cams swung hard for response, reckon could easy get 500hp from them on same boost if top end was the goal (e85). Im in the same boat as you man, good healthy stock internals and pulled sump for RIPS extension and billet gears to try make the stock bottom last. Like you said its a bit of a lottery, but a good tune and ecu along with mechanical sympathy you should be good. Another plus on -9s is can set limiter lower, 7500 is high as mine goes as turbos run out of breath above it.
  22. Personally wouldn't go -5s on none stroked motor. -9s can make excellent power, especially with e85. Combine the e85 with out having to rev it above 7500 for peak power and stock engine should be golden, I would go with a more modern ecu like a Vipec/link or haltech. The biggest gains in engine reliability and longevity have come from e85/better ecus. Crazy not to use either. Check my build thread for what you can aim for on -9s and e85. I did most of the mods you spoke of too.
  23. Thanks man, Next is a few small things, tint, few small dents removed, basically get it as good as I can short of a respray. Need to buy and install a defi 3 gauge cluster as I want oil/coolant temp and boost pressure which exceeds stock gauge. Also will be replacing the Gsensor with a digital unit as mine is starting to read a bit off and is throwing the torque to the front at strange times. Yeah Its so much more fun to drive now, feels alot quicker too
  24. Yeah the retune made a huge difference, I did not think 700rpm would feel so different but it so much better on the street, havn't had a chance to track it yet. Blew a cooler pipe today for first time so may have to start swapping out some old pipes for newer ones/clamps. Thanks man, that is the plan. Next break from work will get some small tidy up jobs done, tints to try protect the interior from the ridiculous heat here and getting some small dents removed.
