*Authentic JDM - Dual-DIN fascias for sale with air-con controllers, bracket, dual-zone mod. * $450 posted Australia wide. Pick-up available in Melbourne. PM for availability - these will sell quick! ** Why do I need to upgrade? ** Your stock unit will eventually fail, locking your air-conditioning at 18degrees & full blast. Your stock unit probably already has the embarrassing ‘CD ERROR f0’ message. That stock stereo with 80’s cassette deck makes your car look out-of-date. Your resale value is going to be impacted without this upgrade. These cars are hard enough to sell already, without evidence that you’ve cheaped-out by avoiding the fundamental upgrades. ** Reasons to purchase from me. ** I imported these directly from Japan for these FB groups, to sell cheap so that people are not tempted by cheaper imitation kits. I’m local, active on these groups and can assist with advice on your install. I’m selling these cheaper than anywhere else that you can find. Once these are gone, I won’t be importing any more (too many people have flaked on sales). I need to recover my costs to pay my medical bills. Any left over cash will likely be spent on purchasing your used parts. :-) ** Reasons to avoid cheaper imitation ‘Metra’ kits. ** Poorly made & prone to failure, Cheap ‘Play School’ style rubber buttons , Doesn’t match stock interior, Will end up costing you 3x in the future. Replacing with JDM and repairing damage caused. Most likely damaging your expensive Body Control Module. ** Costs of importing from the USA / Japan. ** Importing from USA/Japan is up to $250 (60%) more expensive. These prices don’t include the installation bracket ($50), dual zone climate button conversion ($50-$100), cubby storage ($50) or navigation pop-up screen with JDM controls ($150-500). Interested to hear what you ended up selling for. Was it close to $17,400? -
What Have You Sold Your 300gt For
_thom_ replied to timmymacg's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It depends on state - I remember hearing that either the 350GT or 300GT was taken off the list of approved cars for P-plate drivers and this had a big impact on the price. Late last year some were only selling for $5-6k. I'm not sure of the condition though. Interested to know what the market is like. -
I'm not sure what the issue is with a "knock off of the real thing". The official Nissan Consult 3 will set you back thousands.. The Chinese Nissan Consult 3 can be imported for $150 USD. When purchasing from China be careful that you're not purchasing from a reseller (of a reseller, of a reseller, of another reseller...). The quality of the model that I purchased is great. Quality control in China varies a lot, but if you've got a warranty purchasing major sites (like Alibaba, etc.) If you don't need to diagnose & just want to display readings, then the HKS OBD Link is a great tool. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431576-diagnostic-port-adapter-display-app I use both.

Just do a search.. The G35 service manual should be sufficient. It's available for download in multiple locations.

[Fs] 2003 V35 Skyline 350Gt Premium Coupe
_thom_ replied to Sikahalv's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I always wonder who's dreaming when I see ads like this.. Are you getting any offers close to $19k? The market for the V35 isn't the same as 2-3 years ago. Even last year, mostly stock V35 would sell for around $13k. If you're familiar with the import process, you'd know that people are bringing them over for a cheaper than that. I don't mean to be critical. I'm just curious whether people are stilling willing to pay $20k for our cars. -
Diff Bushings - Factory Or Equivalent?
_thom_ replied to sonicii's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for the info. I'm also interested in replacing my diff bushes. I'll be installing a Cusco LSD and was wondering whether I should purchase SPL or Whiteline. I'm concerned about NVH for inner city driving. -
I'm with Lumley SV & consider their pricing very reasonable for enthusiasts. It really depends on your criteria and what you want from your policy. I'm more concerned about having my choice of repairer and salvage rights. You can find threads on here every year with various price ranges people pay. We all have different criteria though, so they are kind of pointless. As others have said, pay attention to who the underwriter is and what's included in the policy. They're not all the same.

I'd be inclined to say there is a performance decrease. Atleast there was when I used a K&N cone filter (according to my butt-dyno ) Our engine bays run hot so heat-soak is a major concern. If you're more after noise, then get something like this: http://www.soundracer.se/?p=98 Otherwise you could get a pod filter that fits into the stock airbox.

What Should I Price My V35 At?
_thom_ replied to D2K77's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It's good that you're not in a rush to sell, as many people have commented that the market has taken a hit. $13K seemed like a fair price when I was looking 12 months ago. You may have to price yours a bit less as it's non-premium, non-colour matched parking sensors, 17" wheels, etc. Hopefully you get a decent price!
