PC version. Picked my coppy up for EB's at 9:15am (helps knowing a few people that work there, and getting them to give me mine first thing in the morning ect.) drove like a mad man to get home to play it. at first i was a little disapointed, controls are a little different, as in sometimes harder to get CJ to do what i want. If you've played a lot of Vice city and GTA3, then you may also have this problem. I was also a little disapointed, its like a 4gb full install & needs pretty good specs to run (128mb video, 380-something RAM amd xp 2200+) however i wasn't that blown away with the graphics, it's an improvement over vice city for sure, but not as much as i thought it would be. but that's the only biff i've had with the game, area is bbbbiiiigggg, nice car's, bikes, pushies. And heaps of missions to keep you busy for quite a while.

v8's are nothing but fuel chewing tanks. There only good for that 'sound' that some people say only a v8 can make. I'm by no means bagging holden, i've seen a VT v6 run an 12.01 @ 120.58mph on street tyres, and that was with a nasty 2.133 60ft time, same car dynoed 440.8 rwhp with stock internals. as for FPV's, well we all know the GT is just a name (not going to bag it though, loved the GTHO's to death) and i don't think anyone is impressed with the f6's start with the recall and clutch problems they had. so all in all, my views $ to performance, you carn't go past a nice stock low km 33 Plus if you then do decide to mod the 33, parts are quite easy to get, and arn't going to costly. well that's my thoughts anyway

And as silver'sr33 said above, the only thing cops can book you on with reguard to the 'hardware' of your car is your tyres, i'm pretty sure they need transport officers with them to issue any ticket's. <---- could be wrong, just what i've been told. in any case do something about it, i wanna see the little man win against the system!

Funky if what your talking about is the full fledged IDE interface kit for the slim PStwo console that is currently under development by Team Xtender crew, then the installation will be very close to the xbox scene's LPC rebuild Kits, place down the flex pcb and solder the points. Not such an easy instalation for your average home handyman...and if you've only just baught you Slim, or your still in warranry, then this instalation will blow that away. I know the beta testing is just beginning on this, but last i heard they were still having problems with the HDD wanting to format all the time. in any case keep us updated on the matter if you know of any new news? drakan edit: oh yeah not too sure on the facts, but if you download UsbAdvanced, don't you need something like swap majic to boot the burnt disks....oh hold on thats where dumping it onto the memory card.....no hold on again! Dumping onto the memory card uses the exploit (PSX game Disk) to 'search' the memory card for any programs, usb advanced, and boot them right? But i'm pretty sure they fixed that exploit with the Slims. I could be wrong though, i like to think i keep a rather open mind.

Bingo, no worries about your PStwo warranty either, cause they just plug into your USB port and the USBeXtreme is a usual games disk. i'll try and give you an general idea. step 1, buy coppy of usb exetreme ( around depends where you get it $69) step 2, get a 3.5" or 2.5" HDD and caddy to sute. (i've got a 120GB thats got about 27 games on it, and it's pretty much full) step 3, download the games ripping software from usbexetreme from UsbeX's homepage..ummmm....http://www.hdadvance.com/download/ I use the window's mode client, as it's so easy even my girlfriend can use it. step4, plug USB HDD into pc, format (NTFS) then use the USBeX's client software to format (not sure it changes the formatting, but i did the second format anyway, mightn't have had to) step5, rip games most of the games i've tryed ripping have worked, some don't, i think the success rate is around the 90% mark. step6, plug usb caddy into PS2 insert usbExetreme disk and power both (caddy and PS2) up that's about it. got a 7:59 in a stock F6, dunno if it's a good time or just average, haven't tryed with much else, i've only had the game 2 days an am only 11.8% thru or something.

supercharge....tho it wouldn't be cheap but keeping it N/A....and with a max of say....$7,000, you could probably get it to around 140kw @ wheels....maybe not too sure of the price of NA mods, but i'd think a port polish engine balance heads shaved POD exhaust (2.5"?) extractors? New ECU maybe some higher ratio roller rockers larger Throttle Body you should be able to see around that mark

I've heard that the auto-save function on GT4 can also stuff over your memory card, i know this probably isn't the case with yours. But anyway maybe it'll save someone's memory card from becomeing wiped. Anyone else heard of anything like this before?

yep thats the goodness of using these crazy programs, if i may be so bold as to give you one bit of advice, that is buy the origionals of USBeXtream, http://www.quantronics.com.au have it for 69 + 9 (aussie air express). Sure you can download the cracked verson (usbadvanced) but then you'll need a copy of Swap Magic (~$40) to boot the burnt cd's with USB advanced on it. Which in my mind is more pain-in-the-ass swapping disks over. Where-as if you purchases the origional, you just leave that in the PS2slim and have your HDD connected with your games on that ready to boot.

Actualy, a little research on the net and you'll find that the PS2 slims are also supported, however not via an internal HDD, via external USB caddy. And not by HDadvance but by USBeXtreme/USBadvanced. Difference being that USBextreme will cost you $69.00+postage, and USBadvanced can be downloaded from the net for free. Only problem with running it over USB is the numbers 1.1 come into play...however even USB 1.1 is a tiny bit faster than running a game off the disk, i've timed the loading screens of GT4 both ways. in any case it's taken the load off the laser, and saves me having to swap disks when i wanna change games, which is all i could really ask for. If you'd like some more info i guess i could post up some links, that is if your too darned lazy to look yourself.

MYS013, did you partition your 200gb drive for the sony to read it? also BigDatto, do you know if this is also able to be done with the PS2 slims, do they still have the expansion bay?

it's been a while since i've played GT, but unless it was made sony, why are you asking them. If it was made by sony, then forgive me, i'm going to buy a PS2 and GT4 on the weekend, cause it sounds awsome.
