  2. Just put a small Hot dog out the back or it might resonate like a bitch.
  3. I just cut up a piece of aluminium and bolted it down to it. The other alternative is to just get some gasket paper and cut it to the shape of the BOV and bolt that under the stock one. Of course with no holes in it to seal off the factory BOV.
  4. FIXED! Thanks for the input guys. I was my mistake. I put the seal onto the flange and pressed the flange into the hub. You are suppose to tap the seal into the hub first then press the flange into the hub. I just gave the seal a few love taps with a screw driver and hammer and now she it mint didn't take much at all, most of the seal pulled its self into the hub haha
  5. Yeah, they are already to go out of the box. Just press out the old one and press in the new one.
  6. Nah just the left one because it was noisy. Had corrosion in there because water got past the seal I think its been replaced before at some stage, car has over 400,000ks on it and to me it looks like someone put the wrong seal in! the old one looks like its the one thats meant to be on the back that seal on the cv joint on a AWD model. ( mines 2wd ) Yeah the washer is on there. Its just there to prevent he drive flange coming out and to stop it turning inside the bearing. Temped just to drive on it and see how it goes. Im thinking its the seal is squashed up against the bearing too hard ( for whatever reason, idk ). I dont want to pull it apart again as that can damage the bearing races because there is no way to disassemble it without pressing on them. Kinda screwed either way really. I know it will loosen up over time but i would likely damage the bearing and I would be $120 out of pocket. And if its the seal causing the issue the seal would get damaged from rubbing, water and dirt would get in and again, damage the bearing. Might have to play it by ear a guess.
  7. Hi I replaced my left front wheel bearing on my r32 4 door. I have the hub bolted back in but I am reluctant to put the wheel and brake assembly back on yet. This is because the hub is soo damn tight to turn! I can do it by hand but its take far more force than it should. Its not normal, at least I think its not Cant feel anything binding or rubbing, just feels like there is too much preload on the bearings like if you crank the nut up too tight on a trailer hub. I am a apprentice mechanic and I have done many of these bearings before with no issues. Any ideas as to what might be wrong? Or is it fine? I am think perhaps the bearing preload is setup incorrectly when the bearing was manufactured.

  9. Rotorua, 1994 R32 4 door. Just dropped a 20det in it this weekend. With 400,000ks on the clock driving to a skid comp an hour and a half away, witch it completed without fail, and drove home again!! ahh that was a great engine my little 20DE. Ah new one make cool noises
