  1. Agreed... why plough into the back of the police car and wreck yours?!! He wasn't going anywhere anyway... :tool:
  2. Yeah that sucks nismo33, I was kinda hoping you'd be up for this one... we did the Sunshine Coast leg of the MSCIII with you, and I've waved to you a couple of times when you've passed me around Mooloolaba... a Sunshine Coast meet & greet definitely sounds good... Hey 85URK, if you'd still like to come but need a lift, let me know... ... so far it looks like just you and me RedEmblem...
  3. Any S'Coasters interested in cruising down to SAU BBQ this Friday (28th), let me know... I would like to organise a time/place to meet that suits everyone wanting to head down...
  4. Yay for me for getting those 7 spokies then...
  5. cool, thanks!
  6. Or in cases like this, perhaps Carmageddon or Interstate '82!
  7. If it's been stuck for that long, I feel sorry for your family & friends having to hear that just when they are starting to get pissed off... it would make them even angrier!
  8. Man, I just watched Bad Boys 2 last weekend and I can't get that out of my head either... how long has it been for you? (sounds like a woosah support group needs to be started)
  9. On a fairly stock setup without any additional ventillation under the hood, wouldn't a pod just be sucking hot air from the engine bay? That's the only reason why I haven't looked at one... (but let me know, coz I am fairly new to this)
  10. Yeah, it was actually $139, not $132 (I mis-read my notes)!! I have since found prices like $110-$120 for the KN33-2031-2 (hopefully I am looking at the right filter!)...
  11. Just got a price of $132 for a K&N Air Filter... does this sound about right? Any particular model no. I should be asking for?
  12. That don't sound too good Nismo_Boy! :dump:
  13. Hey 85URK, to answer your question from another thread, I'm driving a wine red R33 with 77-SDF plates... you would probably have seen me driving like a mad man through the Nicklin Way traffic... I have only taken my Skyline to Kawana Auto Service since I've had it (coz it's within walking distance to work, plus I also found out that Jensen/import thing about them as well), but would like to do a few things like extractors, air filter/pod filter etc., and I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to working on the Skyline...
  14. Hey, just wondering where S'Coasters get their Skylines serviced/tuned? Anyone had any good/bad experiences with anyone in particular on the Coast? What about mods? Where does everyone get upgrades done? (apologies if this has been covered before - I did a quick search and couldn't find any recommendations for S'Coasters)
  15. Hey 85URK, I live just behind the Kawana Shopping Centre... what colour car is yours? (so I know what to look out for). Did you go on the MSCIII? I too originally came from Sydney (well, Penrith anyway), and would NEVER go back. I'm currently saving for my first house, which is a hard task as I keep spending money on my car!!, and the house prices vary depending on how close to water you would like to be mainly. How busy is it? Well, road planning is pathetic, and development is slow as! Peak traffic is terrible, but once you know your way around, there are short cuts (or less busy alternatives) for us impatient drivers. Job vacancies depend on your trade/skills obviously. Transport around the coast is buses/taxis only - trains are only to get you north or south of the coast. Everything else has pretty much been covered - I hope that's helped B-Man!
  16. You're lucky they didn't see you and pull you over for using your phone while driving!!
  17. I'm sure the reason why I started using Optimax was after a Choice, A Current Affair, or Today Tonight report tested the top fuels from leading suppliers to see which one was cleaner, more efficient, and richer, and Optimax came out on top... but my memory isn't what it used to be (too much computer radiation!).
  18. I usually run Optimax on the Sunny Coast, but there have been more than a few times that Shell has run out of it coastwide, so I have resorted to Ultimate. I haven't really tested it thoroughly, but I'm sure the Optimax seems to last longer...
  19. Shell Optimax ay? And you're a QLDer? Bundaberg must be stealing all the Optimax then, coz on the S'Coast, you're lucky if you can get it before they run out for a few days...
  20. Very nice Andrew... quick server too (only 5 mins to download)...
  21. So can anyone confirm LAN (without 3rd party patches that is)?
  22. Did they include LAN this time round in NFSU2? I'm hearing conflicting reports...
  23. Yeah I was driving the wine red Skyline - unfortunately I had passengers in the car that wanted to go home, so I couldn't pull over at the wharf for a chat.
  24. Keep us posted on the progress with the car geno, I would love to hear how you go with it. I feel your pain!
  25. Yeah I'm aware that the MSC officially ended at the lake, but for those that were heading to the S'Coast, it may have been handy to have worked something out (not blaming Erin here either - like I said, in hindsight, one of us S'Coasters could/should have planned the S'Coast arvo cruise).
