  1. Yeah they are a standad item at any exhaust shop. I picked 2 up yesterday when I got my dump pipe fitted, they were around $3 each.
  2. Yeah thanks Predator, What I meant was that I think that a better alternative should be thought of. the car park has been hit pretty hard recently and it might be a safe idea to bypass it for a couple of weeks.
  3. bwcp?
  4. Thanks guys, it did seem a little strange that it was that low on the exhaust. Looks like I will be getting back under the car tomorrow after the car show at the Gold coast.
  5. Hey, Just hoping someone can help me. I installed a 3 inch cat back system on my R33 this afternoon and came across a slight problem. I was going to change the cat at the same time for a larger unit but the O2 sensor was screwed right into the converter itself. On every other car I have worked on they have been connected to the exhaust pipe not the cat. for those that have installed universal cats, How did you get around this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Hi, This has worked for me in the past with buying things for my R33 so thought I would give it another go. I am after an importer who carries exhausts or just someone replacing one. I want a 3 inch exhaust for my R33 gtst, whether it is cat back or turbo back. If you have any that could suit then please PM me any details. Thanks
  7. Raf, Is there any difference between the ally kits and the stainless? I am assuming that the stainless are the better kits for durability and heat transfer? If someone knows which to recommend I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  8. Does anyone here own the Bright blue R32 with Large Black GT Wing that I saw on Toombul Rd this morning? It's front bar was a little bit damaged and I think it's number plates were 444 GIV
  9. That was my first cruise with the club and despite the minor set back of driving around in circles in our little group of 4. I can't wait for the next one.! I left at about 11:30 I take it the uniforms never showed up at all then? Hmmm 25 imports in a car park, a marked car drives by while getting waved down from the side of the road , and still you can't get a REAL cops attention when you want one! whats the bet next time I am driving through surfers I get more than enough attention to make up for it though
  10. Wanted to buy : a Passengers side headlight off an R33 Series 1 coupe ( with black internal plastics) If any one could help please PM me
  11. Hey 180athid aren't the exhausts pictured below all cat back exhausts, not turbo back like your ad states? have you got details on the right hand exhaust in the pictures? Thanks

    Help needed

Who is a She? Any way Thanks for the help fellas, So Hicas is set up for high speed cornering? I thought it was like the Honda 4 wheel steering and was set up to only work for low speed cornering, moving only a couple of degrees? Does anyone know how to run a diagnostics on the Hicas, cause I have no way of knowing if anything is damaged. I took the car back yesterday and they put the car on the hoist, you could quite clearly see where the jack had hit the hicas module. they said it was only a minor mark and they reduced the tyre pressures down to 30 psi to solve the problem ( my opinion that only masked it) Not sure what I do from here now..... Guess I take it back down to Gavin at Autotech and see if he can find anything wrong! Thank again for the help

    Help needed

This is going to sound like a really strange question.... but I have just recently had new tyres fitted to the back of my R33 gtst ( 265x35x18) and for some reason the steering is now reacting really badly. I was maybe even thinking that when the tyre place changed the tyres they might have jacked it up using the HICAS steering rack instead of the Diff. So what I need to know is with the HICAS can you actually see it moving when you turn the wheels when stationary or very slow? ( like I know you can on Hondas with 4 wheels steer) or does it move so slightly that you can't see it? I can't see mine moving so if they are meant to then I have found my problem. If someone could help me by looking at their line I would really appreciate it. Thanks
  14. you got picks of the exhausts? I might be interested
  15. count me in as well
  16. Hey Guys, Just curious about power figures. I recently had my R33 gtst dynoed and was severely dissapointed by the figures. So much so that I am hoping there is nothing wrong with it. Has anyone ever dynoed a stock R33 before doing any of their modifications. If so what kind of figures should I be expecting.? Also does anyone know of a mechanic in Brisbane that knows their way around a skyline ? Thanks..

  18. You still got the strut brace? do you have a pic?
  19. Yeah I have got only good reports for SVI. I have been in there a couple of times sussing it out and Both nick and Zac were really helpful. Even after I bought elsewhere they helped me source some parts and also put me onto a mechanic they use as well.
  20. Dan, If your interested it is at Gibbs panel house, a shop on Randall street just off moss street at slacks creek.
  21. I have been offered a second hand 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust from an R34 for $500, So I was hoing that someone might know if this would fit under My R33 with out too many problems or modifications.
  22. Yeah I tried the wanted section but was having trouble posting it up! I am actually after a left hand ( passenger side headlight)
  23. Can anyone help me. I am looking for a left headlight for an R33 series 1 ( black surrounds). - DAMN GUARD RAILS!!!! I am having trouble trying to find one from the Brisbane wreckers. I am also looking at buying a new front bar support . If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
  24. I have a stock R33 Gtst and I have been shopping around to see what type of exhaust I should get. It seems every where I go I get given different advice. it is starting to get confusing. Drift King tell me they recommend a mild steel exhaust HPC coated. others tell me stainless is best. then there is those that tell me a single pipe for the dump pipe and others that tell me to get a double dump pipe with a seperate pipe for the waste gate gases. Some tell me that the stainless systems sound to tinny! Can any one help me ? what seems to work the best? any one know a good place in Brisbane ? any help would be appreciated. thanks.
