  1. Performance tuner once its installed. Make sure you have the boost guage.
  2. Wow, i'm suprised. I thought a R33 auto gearbox would be an upgrade. I'm just wondering, do shift kits come just as a shift kit or are there different stages as in mild, medium ...
  3. Fark, its a bit hot out there and my workmates probably think i got to much free time on my hans but yeah. R32's do come with RE4R01A. I was told it was the same as the Patrol box when i did my service. But it does have: RC43 as an extension. As Jay said: What does it mean?
  4. runs to the car ...
  5. Thanx strutto. Are there any differences between the R32 and R33 auto boxes? From my knowledge both are JATCO RE4R01A.
  6. Installation should be straightforward but apparently Profec B II is fairly hard to set up. Probably best to leave it to the pro. Saying that, I just bought Profec S that is like the old Profec B, brought back due to popular demand, just with an improved solenoid. It's much easier to set it up but it doesn't have the fancy screen.
  7. Ah sorry knore, me bad. It seams there are a few ppl interested in this, it might be worth to try and organise a group buy? I didn't know there was no need to get the box out to install the shift kit. What else would need to be done to freshen up the gearbox?
  8. I got one of those catch cans that cant be opened under my bed and i'm unsure if i should install it or not. Will there be any benefits?
  9. I had a simillar thing happen to me. It cost me about $200 to source the second hand parts myself. Front bar, front bar support, bonnet, headlight, indicator, air con condensor.
  10. knore from the forums has done it but he is in Adelaide. About $300 installed. I'm looking into it as well fro my R32 but I'm in Sydney I was quoted $1100 but some shonky workshop here.
  11. I’m assuming its of a S1 manual? Right?
  12. I'd sell you mine but i think i'm in love
  13. Are you wrecking a 4 door?
  14. Can you install ABS into a non abs R32?
  15. No worries.
  16. Godzilla32 - Thanx for the reply. Also, the wires coming out of the little black box they would be just telling the factory boost guage what boost to show, but would they lead to the ECU as well. I guess what i'm trying to ask is, does ECU know what boost your running and if so where does the signal come from?
  17. Sorry to hijack, but my factory boost guage isn't working as well. The hose that ran to the little black box on the firewall was cut and the aftermarket boost guage connected to it. Are there any side effects for disconnecting the black box?
  18. Can you please check the numbers. Thanx.
  19. hey you alredy got a pic of mine from before. let me know if you're interested.
  20. Well apparently there were a few Auto GTR's. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=61246 Also, when doing a hill climb you can use the HOLD button and it wont downshift unexpectedly.
  21. I have an R32 auto and after driving so many different cars with auto gearboxes, due to work, the first thing I was gonna do on my 32 was convert it to manual. But after the first drive in it I was so impressed. It felt like none of the other automatics I’ve ever driven, so I decided to keep it. I was always against autos as well. Performance wise, auto skylines will beat the simillar power manual down the quarter, but biggest disadvantage of autos is they are definitively not made for the track work. Overall the autos are great. Also, the auto computer is great with its self learning capability and with the POWER and HOLD buttons you still have a lot of control of the Skyline’s auto box. So if you ask me which one do I prefer more, well probably manual coz I like to be in total control but when it comes down to the cost (clutches & gearboxes) and convenience of the auto over the manual I’m willing to sacriface a bit of control and I’ll stick with auto. Sometimes I do wish I had a manual but I’m sure most of the manual guys sometimes wish they had an auto box. knore - Where did you get the shift kit for $300? A place here in Syd wants $1100 to install one for me. edit: Also the more torque down low comes from the extra timing. 20 degres compared to 15 on the manual.
  22. How much for the R32 headlights and the bonnet?
  23. Is it still for sale?
  24. Hey mate. i'm still waiting on the grill! Whats goin on, do you still have it?
  25. i sent you a PM a week ago. still interested if you decide to sell it to non Perth buyers.
