Ok just done mine last weekend and had the same problem. In your first pic you posted you'll see your upper controll arm. It's as simple unbolting it from the top, swing it towards you. This will give you ample amounts of room to get shocks out and new ones in.

Hey guys was wondering if a series one and a series two diff are the same. I know it's different with the abs vs non abs. But yer basically will a s2 fit in my s1 ????

Its more of a deep heavy metal knocking. but ill get under there tonight and have a proper look before I annoy ya anymore. cheers

Hey guys, recently bought a r33 for drift. have had a mate take the diff out and weld it up. (driving straight everything nice and smooth.) Unfortunately suspension is still all stock. So there is a lot of bending and flexing going on. today spun out (no gutter impact) and felt something clunk or pop and BOOM! I now have a loud knocking noise that seems to be coming from the drive train somewhere. At a stand still no knocking so not engine drama. I proceeded to take it home. Its louder as I pick up the pace. Pull in the drive way and its stops....now at very low speeds and under no acceleration I hear a faint knocking sound. If anyone has any ideas of where I start to look for problems would be great.
