  1. As long as theyre thick walled and made out of good stainless they will be fine. The welds look awesome so i cant imagine that the collector would be full of dags or anything. Im like you; i hate shitty parts and i didnt want to spend 15 grand on an engine and turbo and have a shit manifold, so i spent heaps of time looking around and eventually settled on one that looks extremely similar to the one you showed. Ill try to get a pic of mine up here so you can see.
  2. Just to let you know that i bought a manifold for my RB26 from GCG Turbos that looks EXACTLY the same as the 'two into one' wastegate pipe one pictured above. It cost me $600 i think and is of excellent quality; 304 grade stainless, almost 3mm thick too. The only difference is that mine had no wastegate flange so i could put a Tial item on. It had a T4 flange so i bought a T4 to T3 adapter which was $100 and is CNC machined. I havent finnished my build yet, so i cant tell you how it performs, but a fabricator i trust said that its of excellent quality and he cant believe i got it for that price. He said i wont have any sagging problems, but i braced it just in case. If the Just Jap ones are the same, theyll be good quality. Maybe drop into GCG and compare. If you do a search in the Forced induction section under "What do you think of my high mount turbo set up?" (or something like that), you should find a few pictures of my manifold on my engine. Shaun. PS How much are the Just Jap ones?
  3. Thats exactly what i was going to do. Its an easy fix. But in the process of having a sticky beak inside the pump i stuffed a circlip and i cant find anyone who can supply me one just like it. So i just thought id get rid of the second chamber completely. Now i think about it though, i think my efforts would be best used in modifying a circlip to fit and just do exactly what youve suggested.
  4. 75 cents.....SOLD!
  5. I just found a post by SK; he said that the "LM-1 talks vey nicely to the Autronic's". Gary, if you have any more info on this subject it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shaun
  6. Thanks Waldo, i might give that a go as i want to clean up another pump and make the engine bay as clean as possible.
  7. Thankyou for making my point SK. I think using the power steering lines for fuel is an excellent idea, as pointed out to me by Paul (two06l). In regards to your first post though, i dont think my R32 gtst has a power steering cooler. Are these only on the GTR's? Thanks, Shaun.
  8. As stated. Preferably off a 93 in good working order. I dont want to pay a fortune though. I dunno if it matters if its not a HICAS one, as ive removed mine. Shaun 0414972596
  9. GDay, Ive just put one of GTR Geoffs HICAS lock bars on my R32 gtst and i want to modify the power steering pump so that it doesnt needlessly pump fluid towards the rear of the car in the now redundant power steering lines. Also, i want to use the 3/8 HICAS lines as fuel lines to support an engine rebuilt etc. I pulled the backing plate off the pump and removed all the little sliding impeller thingys from the wheel that sits on the geared shaft. I then removed the circlip so that i could take the impeller off the shaft just to have a sticky beak. The problem i have is that i damaged the circlip and the backing plate will no longer fit over the shaft properly. ive been to a million bearing places and cant find a circlip that will suit. As the pump is pretty ugly with peeling paint and doesnt look nice besides my shiney engine, i was wondering if either of the following would work: • Could i remove the rear part of the pump all together and then shorten the shaft and turn up a new circlip groove to keep the shaft captive in the pump. This will just remove the part of the pump that circulates fluid to the rear wheels. The pump will therefore, be about 40mm shorter. • Or, could i just buy a non hicas pump (like off a VL or something that has a single chamber) and just use that. If anyone has any experience in this area, or done something similar please let me know. Thanks, Shaun.
  10. Mate, you can get em for about $600 now.
  11. Although it came off an R32, it wont bolt straight on because mounts will have to be made. This is the case with any front mount though im sure. Dont have existing pipe work because im using some of it. Shaun.
  12. GDay, Ive got the latest High Octane 'Detonate' DVD for sale. I bought it in New Zealand the other day; im not sure if its out in Australia yet as it was just launched. Ive only watched it once and its in as new condition. Im on the Central Coast NSW and can post anywhere. Price is $15 plus postage firm. It would be best to phone/sms me on 0414972596 if your interested. Thanks, Shaun.
  13. Gday, Ive got a second hand DNA Motorsports bar and plate intercooler core for sale. It was on my car for about a year and performs very well (i had intercooler inlet and outlet air temp guages and the outlet temps were excellent with two different turbos). I am selling it because ive just put another more serious engine in the car and i bought a 100mm core. The core has 3 mounting points; 2 below, and 1 in the middle top of the core. Its in excellent used condition. Pics can be provided to serious buyers. Price is $200 plus postage firm. It might be best to phone/sms me if your interested. Shaun 0414972596
  14. Gday, Did a quick search but turned up nothing. Im interested in buying a wide band air fuel ratio kit just so i can keep an eye on these important readings. The Innovative Motorsports LM-1 kit which retails for about $550 interests me mainly due to its cost (the autronic kit is about $1200 i think). Innovative Motorsports also bring out a stand alone wide band 52mm gauge kit for $599 (i think its called the XC-1?), which may suit me better because i just want to view the readings and not tune my car, which can be done with the LM-1. My questions to those in the know are: • Can the LM-1 (or XC-1) be used in conjunction with the Autronic SM4 so that closed loop stuff can be utilised? • Has anyone out there had any experience with these wide band set ups, and what are your thoughts? The Autronic will be running a single turboed RB26. Thanks, Shaun.
  15. GDay, Ive just put a fairly modified GTR engine in my R32 GTST and as the car wont be a daily driver, i want to remove the air conditioning that ive never used. I have a few concerns though, so my questions are: • If i remove the air conditioning compressor and the two lines coming off it and going through the fire wall, will i still be able to use things such as demisters, hot air, and ambient temperature air through the vents? • I want to also remove the condenser, A/C fan and all the alloy lines in front of the radiator. Will the removal of this stuff affect anything else? • Has anyone else experienced any problems, or loss of function of other things due to the removal of air conditioning hardware? Just wanted to make sure before i start ripping this stuff out. Thanks, Shaun.
  16. SOLD pending payment. Thanks Aaron, that was quick!
  17. GDay, Im selling my brand new never used Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator. The reg has dash 6 screw fittings, and is suitable for all street applications, and will flow enough to support two 044 pumps apparently. These regs retail at Advan Performance for about $320 if my memory serves me. Im looking for a quick sale in order to buy another SX regulator, so im asking $200 plus postage. Im going to NZ for two weeks on sunday, so get in before then or PM me and ill organise something when i get back. Shaun 0414972596
  18. Hi Gary, Just wondering if you received my payment to secure a set of shocks last week. Im also interested in a set of dust covers and bumpstops, so prices would be great when you get a chance. Thanks, Shaun.
  19. Thats exactly what ive got i think (or maybe EF Falcon - i dunno), but im having issues with clearance between the thermos and the power steering pump pulley. They're apparently much better than the Davies Craig thermos due to the greater pitch of the blades, but im having to modify the shrouds significantly in order to bring the fans closer to the radiator and clear the pulley. Theyre the perfect height and width though, and i got mine for $100 from a wrecker. Anyone else had these clearance issues?
  20. Hi SK, I pm'd you with my intentions of purchasing a set of Bilstiens. Your price is excellent indeed; Whiteline quoted me a price of $1367. 85 for the same shocks. So you offer a saving of $377.85 just on the shocks. Im in!!
  21. Hi SK, Ill almost definately buy a set of R32 gtst shocks. Ive just gotta organise (make) some money, so an indication as to when this buy will finnish would be much appreciated. I also PM'd you. Thanks, Shaun.
  22. Hi SK, Im interested in a set of Bilstien shocks (i already have the Whiteline springs on standard shocks), and depending on the price, some sway bars. Any idea on prices for the shocks and bars seperately? Thanks, Shaun EDIT: Sorry; found the prices.
  23. I had a Tial 35mm external wastegate plumbed into the modified standard manifold. Worked well too, but 0.63 would have been better on the RB20.
  24. I had a GT30 o.82 rear on an RB20 and it had full boost by 4200rpm. Boost by 5 or 6 is bullshit. Id give the 0.63 a miss and go the 0.82; it'd be well suited to an RB25.
  25. Who is this idiot. Youre making a fool of yourself mate! Clearly not very intelligent.
