This is exactly what i meant! Im sorry, but i got a bit worked up this afternoon, and it clearly showed in my thread (obscenities etc). I find it difficult to express myself without resorting to swearing; sorry for that. I really do agree with shift_tea, though; there is alot of slander going on here without concrete evidence. I dont know (or date) anyone from magic, i havent even met them; no affiliation what so ever, im just sceptical about what Michael is saying due to lack of evidence. I only organised the group buy because i wanted a cheap cat! I assumed that because they were called catalytic converters, they actually were. I still believe they are until proven otherwise. By deformation, i meant deformation of character (or business). I was speaking to a friend today, and he suggested that 'verses' threads (ie magic V's Catco) should be banned from this forum. I tend to agree with this because it promotes heresay and ill informed, non researched comments about topics and businesses that have the potential to be extremely damaging. Mate, i disagree wholeheartedly with what you have stated above. If you are making the claims; serious allegations that can quite possible ruin a business and families involved with this business, it is your responsibility to back these claims up with conctete evidence! So far, all you have provided us with is some sh1t about biscuits and coatings. No back to back tests, no epa documentation, how do we know you're not some quackpot loser muthaf*cker just doing this for a laugh? Also, id be careful if i were you because if these claims are false, and as you have been denegrating Magic Cat publicly, they'd have grounds to sue you for deformation. Im also wondering why you are so passionate in your denegration of Magic Cats product. Whats in it for you? Are you trying to be a good samaritan? If Magic Cats product is not what they claim it to be, then i will take it up with them when i get my car on the road and emissions tested. I just rang magic and mentioned that someone was dishing their product. They said these claims were 'bullsh1t'. I also asked if their product would pass an epa test and they said it would. Im certainly not saying that this puts the argument to rest, i just thought id post up what they said in regard to these claims. I wasnt going to ask for proof or anything like that because i believe that we, as customers, have a right to expect that the claims of a manufacturer are substantiated; ie, that a cat actually performs as a cat. If i find that it doesnt when i get an epa test done, ill take it up with magic then. Ill continue to use a magic cat until i am convinced that the above claims are substantiated. I just want to stress, that although i organised the group buy with magic cat, i have no afilliation with them at all. I just thought if i could get a better price on a cat that i needed, i would. I did, however, get the feeling that there was some 'history' with magic and catco when i rang them. They mentioned that they knew of someone from catco who was denegrating their product. I dont know if Btmbl is afilliated with catco or not. Shaun.

Thanks for the in depth info Sydneykid. All the science aside, i still dont understand how magic cat can sell a product that is claimed to reduce noxious emissions, when it doesnt (if what batmbl is suggesting is factual). Surely competitors would know this and be on their arse straight away. As stated above, these are fraudulant trade practices, attracting harsh penalties. Im not convinced that a business would be so (cant think of a word) stupid? blatant in trickery? i dunno; im sure you know what i mean.

What about an inlet manifold leak? This would make it run lean. I seem to remember a mates rotary whos inlet manifold glowed red hot due to this problem. Dunno the ins and outs of it though. Check your plugs; if its lean enough to cause this problem, the plugs will show it.

I was wondering if i could just buy the oil cooler, as i already have the remote fittings. If so, how much. Shaun.

Yeah, Im modifying my standard rail and welding on dash fittings (#6 or #8, i hevent decided yet), to accomodate larger braided fuel lines and twin entry. Im running solid lines under the car tho. Im not paying abot $300 for an aftermarket fuel rail when the standard (modified) one is just as good.

I just transferred the money for 16 magic cats into their account, and faxed off all the names and addresses of the people in the group buy (except those 4 above) to them. For the 4 above, dont worry, when the money clears in my account, ill do the same for you. I just didnt want to pay for those cats out of my own money in case something happened. Im getting things like MAGIC CATS x 2 or GLEN coming through as narratives to deposits made. Ok. Ive replied to all PMs. Theres heaps of people involved now, so i wanna order asap. I just rang Magic Cat, and when everyone deposits money, ill deposit a lump sum into their account and then fax off all names and addresses to them. They said they've got heaps of stock so they'll package up and post immediately. I think ill have to make the cut off on Tuesday so i can order on wednesday. This isnt to say i wont do another one though. Ill just see. Everything is running smoothly so you should see the cats by the end of the week hopefully. Im sure thats there is only one Magic Cat around. Im not aware that there are different sizes available. The only changes that they have made to these cats is the 'necking down' of the ends to 3.5inches. Before they were just cut off at 4 inches. I believe they flow 750cfm.

I dont know how much it will cost to get it flanged. Retail price is $300 + postage, so youre saving about $100 probably. There is no cut off date, but ill order them as soon as i get 5 people. I have about 7 already, so as soon as i get money into my account ill order them. Please understand that im not handling the cats at all. I rang the guys at Magic Cat today and organised a price of $210 including postage to anywhere in Australia for a purchase of 5 or more cats. They are 4 inch, necked down to 3.5 inches. Any exhaust shop will certainly be able to fit them to your existing exhaust with a minimum of fuss. As i understand these are one of the highest flowing cats around (750cfm), and for this price, you cant go wrong. How much was it? Is it the Trust TR. Is that all you got or did it come with the rest of the exhaust (cat back including silencer and cat replacement pipe)? Im really interested to know becuase ill consider doing this as well.

Pics of custom power steering thing and intercooler please. Is it 600x300x100? Does it have 2 mounting points on the bottom and 1 on the top?
