  1. Chromed RB26 fuel rail for sale. Includes the regulator. Very shiny. $130 negotiable. Shaun 0414972596
  2. GDay, Ive got an E-Boost for sale. Its been installed in my car, but it has only seen about 1 day of use (no joke). My car (with new engine and E-Boost) was on the road for about half a day before an oil line popped off and spun a bearing. The engine is being rebuilt at the moment and ill be changing engine management and using its boost control. The E-Boost comes with all instructions etc that a new one would come with; it would suit a new E-Boost buyer. I paid $749. Looking for around $550. Shaun 0414972596 Specs can be seen at www.turbosmart.com.au
  3. Ive got a near new GT30 for sale. Turbo has done about 3000kms since new. 0.7A/R front, 0.86 A/R rear. Looks brand new. $1500 firm. Its externally wastegated too. Shaun 0414972596
  4. Oh, it lights up a bluey white colour. It looks good.
  5. Blitz carbon face current model exhaust temp gauge for sale. Its been used for about 5 or 6 months. Comes with the thermocouple and everything needed to install it (I even labelled the wires so its even easier to install). Its 60mm in diameter and would suit a new gauge buyer. I thought it was sold but the dude backed out at the last minute due to financial reasons. $180 + postage firm. These are worth over $400 in Australia and over $300 on jap web sites. This one is as good as new. Shaun 0414972596
  6. Can you get these cores in 100mm thick. Ie; 600x300x100mm?
  7. Silverwater Automotive do an excellent job. Theyll be doing mine. They tuned my mates 1200hp twin turbo (horsepower heroes) commodore with an Autronic SM2. He says you can drive the thing to the shops the tune is so good.
  8. Ive used the Turbosmart bleed valve set up before changing to a Blitz dual SBC controller. The difference was like night and day. The Blitz held the boost beautifully at the desired setting and didnt waver until redline. Ive now got a Turbosmart E Boost which is just as good as the Blitz. By the way the E Boost is for sale if youre looking to buy one. Shaun.
  9. Thanks Bezerkley; the problem with GCG is that they dont have highmount manifolds for the RB26 yet; ive been waiting for about 6months for them to come in. Are you talking about putting 30/40bb turbos on RB20/25 GCG manifolds? Because they have those in stock. I can get the manifold in a T4 flange so maybe instead of modifying the manifold ill look at getting the turbo in T4 flange. Anyone know of any other places that offer highmount RB26 manifolds with a T3 flange.
  10. Id probably run up to 1.5 Bar. I definately want over 300rwkw; Id be stoked to get 350, but thats pushing it a bit seeing as though i want low down response too. The engine is going in my gtst, so its a two wheel drive format. Whats the difference between a GT30R and a GT35? Also, all the highmount manifolds around are only available in T4 flange. Does anyone know if you can get Garrett turbos with a T4 flange? Theres one advertised in the For Sale section but i didnt know if it was a typo because i thought all Garretts came in T3 only. Shaun.
  11. Ive got a brand new Nissan gasket kit with all the turbo gaskets. I bought the kit, but as im doing a single turbo thing, i dont need the turbo gaskets. My engine is an R33 GTR V spec too. Might save you a couple of hundred because in the kit you get every gasket needed for a full rebuild. Ive only used the oil pump, manifold, thermostat etc gaskets. Shaun 0414972596
  12. Thanks guys. I know its a bit of a touchy subject (Re: single or twin turbos for street use), but im going to try to get the best of both worlds and go for street friendly response with a single high mount turbo. Ive had a mismatched turbo before (GT30 0.86a/r on RB20) and the boost threshold was way too high for my liking. It came on full at about 4200rpm. Id like boost by 3300 or so with my RB26 package, however, i dont want it to die off too much in the top end either. I dont know if im kidding myself though. Any other thoughts/experiences would be appreciated. Shaun.
  13. Although my pod is in the guard, its not so low that there is a risk of sucking up water from puddles etc. Besides the fact that i dont really drive my car in the rain (its a second car) im not gonna drive thru cause ways etc; although one of my friends did this during a flood and hydrauliced his engine; blew a hole in his block. Also, i like the fact that its hidden ans with some cops its 'out of sight, out of mind'. Im using a MAP sensor too, so i dont have to worry about AFM's. Also, keep in mind that a tiny amount of water splashing in from rain wouldnt really hurt anything, as some people set up water injection into the engine to keep combustion temperatures low. Thats just my opinion; correct me if im wrong. Shaun.
  14. Yeah i did the front guard thing too, and was suprised at the minor but noticable gains in performance. Ive got an R32 gtst.
  15. Thanks guys; all interesting info. I thought i'd end up going the 0.82 or 0.86 (forget which one it actually is). I just wanted to confirm my suspicions. Shaun.
  16. The problem is connected. Im sure there is a speed sensor for the power steering and hicas in behind the speedo in the dash. The same thing happened to me when my speedo cable broke. After you pull your cluster out and fix the problem, can you post your findings so we can all know whats going on; i think the problem is inevitable for all of us. Shaun.
  17. Sorry. Single turbo, T3 flange if possible.
  18. GDay, im putting a single Garrett GT35 turbo on my RB26 and was after peoples experiences with boost threshold for different turbine housings. Im tossing up between the 0.82A/R and the 1.06A/R turbine housing on the GT35. Does anyone have first hand experience of when i can expect boost with either of these housings? The engine has forged internals, no head work, and standard cams for the time being. I suspect it'll be the 0.86A/R because i want response for street driving, but i just thought i'd ask as the difference between the two housings is 100hp i think. Thanks, Shaun.
