Yeah Geoff, im not really sure about RB25 stuff. I just know they fitted on my RB20 without any fuss.

i was getting full boost on my RB20 by 4300rpm. It was on a standard (modified) manifold though, which wasnt the most efficient way of doing it. It still worked really well though, getting a very conservative 210rwkw at 14psi. The turbo has had a really easy life.

These are off a 7MGTE Toyota Supra engine. They are a ditect fit and perfect upgrade for an RB20 engine. They flow more than gtr injectors and have a better spray pattern. Theyve been cleaned and flow tested, cheap at $250. 0414972596. Shaun.

Just installed a new RB26 and its only idling on 14 in/hg. As i understand it, this is too low, about 19 or 20 in/hg is good. The engine has only done 17000kms after new rings and bearings, and is internally standard other than adjustable cam gears. I have searched for vacuum leaks in all hoses etc and cant find or hear anything. Due to this problem (i think) the idle is uneven and shit. Any help or insight would be appreciated, as i heve spent a fortune on this conversion and i want it running 100%. Thanks, Shaun.

Ive just put an RB26 in my R32 GTST, and im wondering about turbo options in order to get 300rwkw or more. The engine is controlled by a Mictotech LTX-12, and has all the usual external mods (exhaust, filter, FMIC, etc). The engine is to remain internally standard, and only has HKS adjustable cam gears. The car is to be a street driven one, and the main thing i am after is response; id like to see full boost by 3000rpm (or there abouts). I am unsure whether to go twins (hks2530) or a not too big single. I have a new Garrett GT30 at home and was wondering whether that would be suitable. I am concerned that its too small (0.82 rear), but i still want the response. GCG can apparently modify my turbo (for $750) to take a GT35 core which may be suitable. Any advice would be appreciated. I had an RB20 with a Garrett GT30 (0.82ar turbine housing) utilising a tial external wastegate on the standard (modified) manifold. For me, the boost threshold was way to high for a street driven car. I had full boost by 4400 and it was fun, but you had to thrash the guts out of it all the time. My friend had GCG Turbos modify a GT30 to take a 0.63ar housing so he could use the standard actuator set up on his RB20. This was only slightly better, as he had full boost by 4000. Id definately explore other (smaller) options if the car is a street driver. Ive since put an RB26 in and am toying with the idea of using the GT30 on it, although i think it will be too small. Having said all this, ive got the abovementioned 3000km old GT30 for sale if u want. 0414972596.

Yes the turbo is still for sale. Sorry, i didnt know ceramic ball bearings were an option on those turbos. As far as i know, its conventional ball bearing. Its an off the shelf Garrett.

Thanks Daniel, I think i just found a solution. I contacted a guy in sydney who has a part that will connect the mechanical speedo cable to the electronic sender. I was just reading your post about the hicas problems with the 32 gtst; mine is doing the exact same thing; losing power assistance. This guy in sydney (Parramatta Nissan i think) said my problem is due to the hicas not sensing the cars speed (the speedo and/or another sensor on the gearbox not being connected at the moment), therefore i am losing power assistance. He said he sold this part to a guy last week who had the same problem and it fixed it. I should get it tomorrow so fingers crossed because its pissing me off!

It looks the same but i dont think its a dual solenoid. Is the one in the pic a spec R? Mine is a spec S. Ill find out tonight for sure and let everyone know.

Had it on my RB20 for about 6 months. Ive now got an RB26 conversion and the controller doesnt work with two turbos. Its in as new condition, has been securely mounted in car, in box with instructions, looking for $350 neg. Call on 0414972596.

I just put an R33 RB26 with an R33 5 speed in my R32 GTS-T. Im wondering if anyone has had the following problem. The speedo sender on the 33 gearbox is an electrical item, where as it was mechanical on the 32 gearbox; in wondering how to adapt one/both in order to make my speedo work. The sender in the 32 box wont fit in the 33 box because theyre a different length. Any help would be appreciated.
